This business used to be a food truck in our hometown and we couldn't get enough of their chicken, so when they moved into a permanent space in a cute little corner of Silverthorne, we made it a point to detour our roadtrip to stop in. So glad we did, still the same amazing service and great food. They now have a super fun space with arcade game vibe, pool tables, fooseball, etc. We were very impressed and our kids had a blast. They have beers on tap and a full bar, plus the best fried chicken and potato wedges. Hoping to be back in their area again soon! read more

Gigi's Betchin Chicken is an absolute GEM. We ordered both the fried chicken tenders and the grilled chicken tenders, and I can confidently say they were the best chicken tenders I've ever had. Crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned -- just unreal. On top of the amazing food, Gigi herself served us and she was so sweet and genuinely kind. You can really feel the love and care she puts into both the food and the people who come in. She even shared that she started the business because there was no fried chicken available in the area, and wow -- did she fill that gap and then some. We tried this for the first time early in the summer, shortly after they opened in La Quinta, and were blown away. The chicken was delicious and they had these amazing biscuits with a seasoning blend that we couldn't stop talking about. Sides were unremarkable but we were excited to have a place for great chicken and those tasty biscuits. We went back in early August-ish, ordered ahead, and when we got there about 15 min later for pick-up, I swear they hadn't even started the order. I waited at the counter for another 20 or so minutes and kept being told it was "just being packaged" until I finally received it. No real apology or even offering to give me a water or something while I waited. The chicken on this visit was still good but the biscuits seemed to have completely changed. They were now a dry, plain biscuit with zero seasoning or butter, etc. A Grands biscuit in a tube would be much better than these. We were disappointed, but chalked it up to a fluke. Our last visit, this past weekend, we had guests and were talking up the chicken. When I called in the order, I asked about the biscuits and told her about my previous experiences. She said that they had a "cinnamon butter biscuit" now, and they are "really good," so we decided to give them another try. Unfortunately, they were still the dry, rock-hard, plain biscuits as the previous visit. None of us detected cinnamon or even butter. We doused them in honey and butter from home, but again, we'd have been better off with canned ones from the grocery. Worse, the chicken was severely overcooked this time -- dark brown and dry to the point that there was very little meat inside the thick breading. At this point, we're not compelled to try it again as it seems things have gone quickly downhill. Bummed that this didn't turn out to be the great new local place we had hoped it would be! read more

We were so looking forward to this being awesome! Gigi is absolutely delightful. We started with some wings, which turned out to be very very good. I had the highly touted "award-winning" chicken cheesesteak. It was dry, tasteless and cut in chunks instead of thinly sliced. There was barely enough cheese in it to moisten it even marginally. Horrible. My husband had the chicken breast sandwich and it was pretty good. Too bad as we were really hoping this right around the corner restaurant be a hit. I am not overstating this when I say that this was a life changing experience. Nashville style hot chicken, fries and spicy Mac and cheese. So fantastic and sooooo much food. We walked over from the Hampton Inn (a couple doors down) after finding it had rave reviews on Yelp. We had been on motorcycles the whole day and we were hungry! They opened at 5 I believe, so we were there right at 5. They werent quite ready to start serving, so we placed our order and they said they would deliver it to our hotel! In the end, lines got crossed and we ended up having to walk back over to pick up, but my oh my, it was worth it! they sent way more food than we paid for and ended up eating leftovers for lunch the next day.
