A beautiful selection of delicious donuts!
    Rachel C.

Our friend's live around the corner from a donut shop. "Any chance those donuts are good?" I asked. O He answered, "Sunshine Donuts are GREAT!!!" It's family owned and everyone behind the counter is happy, helpful, and friendly! They have a great selection. On Saturday morning they had sold out of apple fritters. The locals definitely know!

Friendly staff, delicious food and very affordable. The ham, cheese and jalapeño croissant is yummy and made to order!

    Chocolate Kruller

My usual donut place was closed. So, I hopped on Yelp to see where I might find a chocolate cruller. I didn't even know Sunshine Donuts was nearby. A small place, but very clean with some seating inside. I was greeted in a friendly manner upon entering. The selection wasn't bad considering it was afternoon. And the had chocolate crullers! I ordered two and thought they may have placed something extra in the bag, but wasn't watching that close. After paying and getting out to the van, sure enough - a glazed cruller had been added to the order. Katie enjoyed it! Crullers are my favorite because of the texture of the dough. It is almost like a crepe, with what I describe as an "eggy" feel or flavor. These not only had that, but a wonderfully substantial icing as well. Growing up in the '70s, I remember occasionally enjoying a Dolly Madison or Hostess chocolate cupcake. The icing on those was at least an eighth of an inch thick. You could literally lift the whole thing off the cake like a disc. And the vanilla swirl of icing down the middle stood on top of the chocolate, obviously a separate process and product altogether. Compare that to what Hostess became before they went out of business. The chocolate icing was a thin veneer or film over the cupcake and that vanilla swirl was just a change in color of the film. So, I have an appreciation for the texture of the icing on a donut. The chocolate icing on the crullers is quite luxurious and flavorful. I may have a new go-to for donuts!

The people working were so nice, the donuts were amazing! A very good neighborhood donut place! Maple bar, chocolate bar, blueberry, an assortment of chocolate cake donuts with chocolate frosting and different toppings. They threw in an extra donut and some donut holes

The employee was talking on their phone a bit throughout the time I was there, but I didn't mind since I was still deciding on a drink and not ready to order. I got the mocha drink and the Finjan coffee. I enjoyed both but I think I liked the mocha drink more. They had a wide variety of dessert that looked amazing. I want to come back and try them one day! They were absolutely mouth-watering, but too early in the day for me to have sweets. Their coffee house is quite large, with a lot of seating. It seems like a nice place to study! Roast & Grinds is tucked inside one of those professional medical office suites near the IVF facilities, and honestly? It's such a clean, cute setup that it immediately caught me off guard in the best way. The location feels polished, calm, and super professional without feeling cold or sterile. My husband actually found this place after specifically hunting for a good sandwich spot, and thank God he did because this sandwich changed the trajectory of my afternoon. The two girls working there were incredibly nice from the moment we walked in. I asked for a sample of the pastrami before committing, and instead of acting annoyed like some places do, they happily gave me one. The second I tasted it, I already knew I was done for. Then they heated the sandwich up fresh and absolutely put their foot in it. Now let's discuss the real plot twist here: the pepperoncinis. WHAT are they feeding those things?! Those were the hottest pepperoncinis I have ever had in my life, and somehow it made the sandwich even better. It was the kind of spicy where you pause mid-bite and reconsider your decisions... and then immediately go back for another bite anyway. "Hurts so good" is honestly the only way to describe it. Everything tasted fresh, the bread held up perfectly, and the whole experience felt surprisingly elevated for a tucked-away little café inside a business suite. Also, small detail that I personally appreciated: being connected near medical and wellness offices while still serving genuinely fresh, satisfying food just makes sense. It feels intentional instead of greasy or slapped together. Parking was easy, the entrance was simple to find right on the corner, and the whole experience was smooth from beginning to end. Only reason I'm doing 4 stars instead of 5 is because I want to try more of the menu before I fully marry myself to this place emotionally. But trust me: I will absolutely be back for that pastrami sandwich and those violently delicious pepperoncinis.
