I always visit Ashley for a color and cut - she always gets it right - whether I'm going for a more conservative cut or a wild one. Not only is she friendly and attentive, she is the perfect balance of listening to what I want and guilding me toward styles that are going to work with my hair texture and face shape. During my first haircut with her, she took my hair from a "blah" long cut to a kicky layered cut with the most AWESOME sideswept bangs ever. They lay perfectly to the side every time, and I didn't have to put any on product to make them look perfect. I don't know how she did it, but I was totally impressed. I was in town visiting from LA for the Thanksgiving weekend visiting family and needed a haircut. Someone recommended Diva's nearby and I was even lucky enough to have Sandy, the owner, slot me in. I can honestly say it's taken me a long time to find a place in LA that I like and am happy with... now the problem is that I literally just had the best haircut of my life at Diva's but live 500 miles away! It was truly a great experience from start to finish. I really felt comfortable explaining how I usually get my hair styled and even asking for input. Sandy paid attention to my concerns, questions, which I've found over the years gets overlooked being that it's a male haircut which are usually ten minutes in and out. I moved to Diva's Hair Salon when my stylist at the time changed locations and I have been extremely pleased with Diva's Salon ever since. The facilities clean, well laid out, run smoothly, and the staff is always on top of its game. In short, Diva's is exactly what I expect of a professional salon. When you come in, both the front desk and your stylist will ask if you'd like something to drink or if there is any way they can make your stay more enjoyable. If there is a blip of a scheduling conflict or error, it will be taken care of swiftly. My original Diva stylist is no longer with the group, which is a godsend because I am now with Mandy, who is fantastic. I have nothing new to add to the scintillating reviews of Mandy, so I will simply reiterate that she is a wonderfully creative, attentive, passionate, and precise stylist and artist. Mandy takes joy in her craft and she is a professional in every sense of the word. The woman has magic hands--from working wonders and salvaging a horrible haircut from a previous stylist (which is what brought me to her in the first place) to creating an awesome faux hawk on my fine hair. Pam is amazing!!!!! I went in off her trubate special for a sixty minute facial, eyebrow design & scalp reflexology and plan to go back again and again! I walked in after a long day at work and had a horrible headache. She was ready for me right when I walked in and I was brought into a nice clean and relaxing room. After getting set up she started with the scalp reflexology that relaxed me right away and made my headache disapear. She then did my waxing which was less painful than I am used to, I think because she gets you relaxed first. The facial was amazing, and she did the scalp reflexology and massage during it making the time even more amazing, my skin hasn't felt this clean in a long time and she cares about what you want, my eyebrows turned out great. I left feeling so relaxed and wanting to tell everyone I knew about her! I would recommend her to everyone, and plan to go back next month!!!! read more

So I'm fairly new to the South Bay Area after moving from Modesto a little over a year and a half ago, I had found myself in need of a hair cut. It had been about 11 months since my previous salon visit with my trusted stylist. But driving to Modesto for a hair cut is just out of the question with gas prices these days. So in a pinch, I went to Master Cuts @ Oakridge mall. I told the lady that I wanted 3 inches off with long layers. That was my first mistake. She took off 8 INCHES!!! I was thinking about 5" after the layers were put in! So pretty much going back to Master Cuts was out of the question. So now that another 10 months has gone by, I was in need of a new hair stylist. So I went on yelp and found Diva's Hair Salon. I read how many positive reviews they had so I called and set up an appointment with Stephanie. Oh my gosh! I love my new hair cut. Stephanie listened to what the last stylist did to my hair and was sure to make my experience at Diva's 100% better. She did a fantastic job. I will definitely be recommending my friends to her for their hair needs, and will be returning to her for many more hair cuts to come. read more

My sister and I went to Diva's for up-dos for a wedding we were in. My hair was done by Lindsay and my sister's was done by Corryne. Both gals did a great job with our hair! I brought in a picture of what I was thinking about having done, and Lindsay made suggestions based on the picture and my own description about what I wanted in a look. She gave me a modern, feminine, beautiful up-do that did not look prom-like at all (which was what I was trying to avoid). Corryne gave my sister a similar style that complemented mine. We were very happy with our looks! The only thing that sucked was my hair started falling out during the dancing at the wedding, but it still looked great and lasted over 11 hours! Diva's salon is clean and a nice place, and the staff there seemed really friendly. Thanks to the other Yelpers, we made a good random choice about where to get our hair done for the wedding! I have been going to Sharon for 10 years. She is an excellent hairstylist for a number of reasons. 1) My hair is always beautiful when I leave. I have very difficult hair to work with. It is very thick and is resistant to color. In addition, it is curly but I like to wear it straight. She spends extra time and gives my hair the extra attention it requires. 2) She listens to me. Many stylists I've been in the past thought they knew exactly what was best for me. They wouldn't give me what I asked for because they know best and so I left feeling very dissatisfied and never returned. Sharon gives me what I ask for. 3) She is very talented. Jason, Jason, Jason. I just checked my calendar and I have almost as many "dates" with Jason as I have with my husband of 39 years! Don't tell. About four years ago I stopped a woman in the Palo Alto Nordstrom's parking lot to ask her who styled her curly hair. That was the beginning of my hair romance with Jason. Who is, in case you are getting curious, half my age. I have moderately curly hair and at the time was going to a curly hair "specialist" in Menlo Park and not especially happy with the results. I was on the hunt for a new stylist and a new me. And, boy, did Jason deliver. I left his chair after our first "date" feeling like a million bucks. That progressed to "what do you think of my color" to now I'm a redhead!!! I have NEVER in my 66 years gotten so many compliments on my hair style and color. I continue to be pleased each and every time I leave Jason and Diva's. Jason always asks me "how was your hair", listens closely to my somewhat disjointed narrative about what worked and what didn't and then I say "do what you think is right" and happiness abounds. This place has the worst customer service! Corryne failed @ giving me my cherry red peek-a-boo's, instead i left with a cheeto orange colored blotchy mess! She didn't want to fix it afterwards either. She was very rude and unprofessional. The manager didn't seem to care either. Corryne needs to go back to beauty school because she doesn't have a clue when it comes to proper color technique. Corryne has been my stylist for 8 years or so, ever since I was in high school (she even did my hair for prom)! I came to her from a very negative highlighting experience in which my hair was breaking off and super dry. Corryne knew just how to fix the situation, and before long, my hair was healthy again. She does wonders with blonde highlights, and knows how to time the bleach/color perfectly without overdoing it or frying your hair. I went out of state for college five years ago, and now live on the east coast, but I still go and see Corryne every time I come home for summer or holidays. [once you start cutting, you never stop! it's the new addiction!] not only did MANDY fit me into her busy schedule, i was stuck in cinco de mayo traffic and more traffic due to an accident. so i was running about 45 minutes late [uh oh...] but i made it [alive!] and the lovely mandy still gave me the best service. full hair wash, cut, rinse, dry, and style. the whole package. she got those tiny details and made sure every strand of hair looked right. i was with her for 2.5 hours. but it was worth it. my hair looked absolutely amazing. only mandy could ever get my hair to look exactly how i envisioned it. it was a big step going this short, but i knew i could always trust mandy. she definitely outperforms :D read more

I LOVE MANDY!!! I just went in two days ago to get my hair dyed green because my friend recommended her. I am asian and my hair was very dark so it was a difficult process but my hair looks so great(and soft too!) Mandy did a great job with the cut too. Mandy was very meticulous and checked to make sure the bleach and dye were doing their thing correctly so I was very comfortable throughout the entire process. I've been going to Mandy for cut and color for about 4 years now I think. I was referred by her brother and another close friend of mine. For the most part, I usually let her do whatever she wants because I trust her! She always makes me feel SO good about myself after a visit and I always tell her I just want her to come home with me and do my hair every day. Anytime I have wanted her to do something she has always listened, whether that be going blonder, or maybe not as blonde this time, or just a trim, or don't mess with the bangs she totally listens. I've been here twice, and all though they don't always have a receptionist up front to greet customers when they come in, and i have called to make an appointment before, and been told my styleist was unavalable and offered to help me instead (kinda felt like they were cool with stealing my girls clients right out from under her) that is really my only complaint. Mandy is AMAZING!!! shes done y hair twice now , and completely listens to what your asking for and nails it! Would absolutely recommend her to my friends and family. The prices are a little on the steep side but in my opinion worth it. I got my eyebrows done here by Nikki. She was friendly and gave me a consultation on my eyebrows before she got going. I thought that was nice since I have had my eyebrows done many times before and no one has ever taken the time to talk to me and find out exactly how I wanted them. She did an excellent job. The only downside was when I went to pay she told me it was $22, when the websites pricing said $12 and up. I must have missed the "and up" because it came as quite a shock when she told me $22. Also, she said she didn't except cards, cash or check only. I was glad I had my check book with me because I usually don't bring it with me. So it was my first time at divas and I got squeezed in at the last minute for an appointment with Karyn. My hair was horrible to begin with since it had been a while since my last real haircut. She was very nice and understood my vision of what I wanted perfectly. She is obviously very experienced and does well with little direction. It was nice to be able to relax and and not have to worry about what she was doing. If anything she made my hair look longer. She is also great at styling and makes it look effortless and know how to fine tune your hair. All and all a very relaxing and great experience. read more
