I booked a consultation with Stephanie, and was so impressed that I had her Cut, Color, Highlight, Dry and Style my hair. I *LOVE* it! And so does my family (who seem to be more picky about how I look than I am). It had been nearly a year since anything was done to my hair, and I think it's hard to manage. Thin, frizzy, graying, ends still had past temp color & highlights, and it needed a cut. So I guess you could say I needed "The Works", and was a bit apprehensive. OK, nervous upon walking in. The place itself looks like someone cares. Each station has a bit of a divide or enclosure/short wall which I've not seen before, but it made me feel more comfortable or private. And as soon as Stephanie started the conversation (to which I added a lot of info/background)-lol she put me right at ease. However, still feeling a bit apprehensive, it wasn't until my hair was dry before I saw the color and highlights. It was FABULOUS! then she started dry cutting my hair. OMGWT?! Well, it was perfect for my hair type. She explained by cutting it dry at first, she could see where the last cut was. And kept asking me how I liked it, whether I wanted to go for more layers, or a bit shorter, etc... I love Stephanie! I love what she did to my hair. So much so, I took my son down to get his hair cut too (a couple days later) and I asked if she could make his hair look similar to Justin Bieber's style (before his latest cut) and OMG! that boy looks too *CUTE*! She was great with my son (4) who likes to wiggle & wriggle like most 4yo's. I can't wait to go back next month! I'm really looking forward to having many, many hair styles and colors with Stephanie. I needed an update for my bedraggled bob - I called on a Saturday and was able to get a same-day appointment with Sharon. She was on time, professional and my hair looked completely refreshed when I left. She rescheduled six weeks out (and took my phone number - imagine that, since I've been to many others who don't, and apparently, don't ever intend to call me if something came up during those six weeks!). I will be back, as I was completely satisfied. I only wish she had used some great-smelling conditioner, since I'm a sucker for that stuff when I'm being pampered. Arlene rules!!! I've been going to Arlene for a little over a year now. She is incredibly talented!! My hair was a wreck when I first found her (through several referrals) and it is totally turned around now. She knows a lot about color correction. I've had Arlene cut my hair for many years. I followed her to Diva's 11 years ago. She is great at cuts, highlights, and perms. My hair is baby fine so it takes someone with real skill to master handling it. Many of her clients (with different hair types) have also followed her and been devoted to her for over 20 years. Arlene has a very good rapport with her customers. She is friendly and caring. This is friendly salon for those who want good service at a reasonable price. All of the stylists seems to be busy and professional. There is very little turnover, so it must mean they like working with Sandy, the owner, and like the salon. Technically this review specifically is for Jason Karam, but Diva's is a fine place for him to be parked at this point in time. I followed Jason here from his previous gig, and I have been going to him religiously for 12 years now. He has been a pivotal part of bringing out the inner me as I have been growing and changing over the years. He truly is an artist. He learns your hair, your style, your attitude, and he comes up with wonderful ideas that meld all of those together. If I wanted the same cut every time, he could easily do that, but instead I leave with something fresh and creative, never boring, and always capable of putting a spring in my step with how damn good I look afterwards. This review is so long overdue, it's ridiculous. Do you have "difficult" hair, you know the kind that's not quite curly but wavy, thick and course? Yep, that's me and it has always been a struggle to find a good stylist...that was until I found Jason almost 12 years ago. I wandered into a hipster salon (which was outside of my comfort zone) in Campbell and asked for a cut and color. Jason was my stylist that day and from the moment I sat in his chair I knew he was my guy. He has very curly hair himself so he knew exactly how to tackle my mane. From that day forward no one else has taken shears to my head, NO ONE! I moved from San Jose to Newark and still commute to Campbell to see him. He moved to a new salon about a year and a half ago. Of course I followed him to Diva's! I have never left his chair questioning the cut or color, he is always spot on with his work which says a lot considering I usually leave it up to him to decide the final outcome. Arlene is Awesome! Arlene has been doing my hair for 28 years; when I happened upon her as a new stylist many years ago, I knew I'd never willingly change. I have had a full range of services performed by her over the years--perms (thank goodness I've gotten over wanting those!), highlights, lowlights, colors, cuts, up-dos, etc. She always does a great job and is very careful to get a full understanding of what I want before she starts working on my hair. Arlene was also a great resource when I had a temporary problem with hair loss; she knew what products I should use, recommended a cut that would best disguise the loss, and rejoiced with me when my hair grew back in. I've only ever had one problem concerning a service, and it was because I had a reaction to a new product (so it wasn't an issue with Arlene). Arlene called the rep and the company directly and got necessary answers, and followed through and provided me with products free of charge. She went above and beyond in dealing with my unfortunate allergy (and when she used the new product that caused the issue it was with my blessing even though I knew I often react to new products). In case you think because I've been going to Arlene for so long that she's not hip enough to do the younger generation, both of my daughters (22 and 26 years old) go to Arlene and have for years; in fact one emphatically says "No one else will ever touch my hair!" If I could give her 10 stars I would--give Arlene a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

This review is for Corryne and Pam. I have been going to Pam for 14 years and dont trust any one else with my eyebrows. She is the sweetest person in the world and does a brilliant job. Love, love, love her!!! If you have thicker eyebrows she will love you more than me :) She loves to shape eyebrows and she has even done a fabulous job shaping mine which are on the thinner side. Corryne I was actually referred to by a friend for another friends wedding. She did my hair for the wedding and I loved it. I had no idea what I wanted and worked out a general concept with her, poor Corryne I was no help with direction, but it turned out beautifully!! The brides hair which she did as well was PERFECT, and she was over the moon with it!!! I have THICK wavy/curly hair that is hard to cut correctly. I tend to turn out with it falling flat from the wait or curling inches shorter than I wanted it. Corryne LISTENS, she gives honest advice and will tell you what will honestly work. I wont go anywhere else to get my hair cut. She puts in tons of layers ad it always turns out perfect for me. If you aren't completely satisfied she will reschedule you to fix things as well. I have been going to Diva's for years now and have had Arlene as my hair stylist. She is an excellent stylist, and she has a real talent with fine, straight hair. Not only is she good with this type of hair, but she is very friendly, easy to talk with, and always insists on giving you her full attention and a full hour (or more, if needed). She will never spend less than an hour on anyone's hair, even my teenage son. I have had body waves from her as well, and they always come out perfect. I also use Nikki for waxing my eyebrows. Nikki is very professional and you will never have a bad waxing from her - she takes care to get the right color and to really do an excellent job. I have been going to Jason for years! He is a master at cutting curly hair. I am mixed, Black and White, and he does my hair phenomenally every time! Great cuts, tons of compliments from strangers often! I haven't even mentioned how great he is with color! I have to dye my hair monthly due to early grey, and he makes it awesome! Back in the days I used to come to Ashley to get a great cut. I called last week and they said she wasn't there anymore so I had heard some good things about Mandy and requested her. She called me back and we set up an appointment for Tuesday. My hair was super long - 20 inches to be exact (Mandy measured it!) and I really needed it chopped off as it was annoying the hell out of me. Mandy was SUPER nice from the start - I immediately felt comfortable with her and I'm a typically shy/ closed off type of person but Mandy was so friendly that I felt comfortable from the start. My appointment was at 4pm and I ended up leaving just before 6pm. She did an AMAZING JOB! She gave me some awesome layers and side swept bangs and she cut it at the absolute perfect length for me. I was nervous about going to someone new but I am honestly SO HAPPY that I went to Mandy. She's so outgoing, friendly, energetic, bubbly and happy that I really enjoyed spending those 2 hours with her. I went here after reading the reviews. I made an appointment with Corryne and got in when I wanted to which was great since it was a little short notice... My hair is thick and coarse so I know when I get a bad hair cut....it usually doesn't blend well and just looks awful. So when I got there Corryne asked me what I wanted to do. I told her that I wanted about an inch off and that I liked a lot of layers and that I wanted my bangs short to the point that I could wear them all the way down or swept to the side. She took me to the shampoo station and washed my hair....heaven! In my opinion that is the best part of getting my hair cut and I hate it when stylists do a half a$$ed job. She took her time and made sure my hair was clean. She did exactly what I wanted and my hair looks awesome. Everything is blended and I like the length of my bangs. She even asked me if I usually had the stylist thin my hair b/c it's so thick...I said yes so she thinned it out for me. I probably should have asked her thin it out a little more though (she did ask me if I wanted it thinned out more but I thought it was good at the time).
