I have a rental property in one of the high rise condo buildings in Chicago. The washer of a stackable set went out. I could only find a very limited number of models available to fit in the closet space, and none could go with the existing dryer. After almost three weeks of dealing with multiple stores, we have decided to keep the dryer and just buy a new washer to keep them side by side in that closet. None of the stores would agree to move the dryer down (per liability issue), and the guy who used to service the washer for us would not do it. Found Jay on Yelp, and called him up. Got very responsive service and great communication over phone and text. He asked for pictures of the space and the set up of the current washer/dryer. I explained what needs to be done. It was very easy. The day of the scheduled service, Jay got a flat tire but made it to the unit eventually to get it all taken care of by 8:00pm on a Friday night. He had to disconnect the dryer (gas line), move it down from the on top of the old washer, stretch the pipes out, put it side by side to the new washer, connect both the old dryer and new washer, test them out to make sure everything works right. He also hauled the old washer out for us. After three weeks of dealing with this issue, I was very happy to pay his fee, which isn't cheap, but I think is reasonable. read more

I don't often write a review. When the repair man asked me to write a review I said I would, but I didn't write it right away, because I wanted to see if the good service would continue. It has. So I'm writing to say that a had a problem with the refrigerator, had to throw away lots of fruits and vegetables. Everything was spoiling and I didn't understand why. I contacted Samsung, and for a week they gave me the run around only to tell me that they couldn't help me. So I went online to see if i could find someone to help me I called Super Appliance man, because I felt by this time I need some super service. The sent a technician out the very next day, he explained the problem, and ask if I wanted to proceed. He then ordered parts and they came in 2 days, he returned and put the parts in. Now I'm a happy person. My water is cold now, it was Luke warm. nothing is spoiling now, which is saving me money. We had an eventful but, at the end of the day, very positive experience with Super Appliance Man. Home Depot had botched our appliance installation and Super Appliance Man was the only company that would come out on a days' notice (we needed the appliances installed before our tenants moved in). We had a very difficult installation of a washer and dryer in a very tight space, and they needed to come out 3 times to get the job done. Unfortunately, there were some legitimate mistakes made on their part that lead it to be quite a stressful time for us, but they sent out their best guys - Sydney and Darrell - who straightened everything for us with a really positive attitude despite the difficult job. Lastly, Joanne was willing to give us sizable refund to compensate for the mistakes that were made. This is a sign that they care about their customers, and I've left with the feeling that they have my best interests in mind and I would recommend them to my friends and family - hard to find people like that. read more

We were introduced to Super Appliance Man (Darrel) through our home warranty for our HVAC system when it wasn't working efficiently. Darrel was extremely knowledgeable in explaining everything that was going on. Unfortunately, the system was 19 years old and needed to be replaced. Within a few hours Dwayne provided us with a quote for replacing. My fiancé and I took time to do research and ended up getting a few different quotes and Super Appliance Man was the most reasonable of them all. Darrel and Dwayne made sure we were getting the best system for our condo at the best price. When installation day came around Darrel and Pete did a fantastic job installing the furnace, HVAC, and a new water heater. This was not an easy job, due to the previous renovators, yet they didn't give up and finished in one day. They were efficient, communicative, clean, respectful and very knowledgable. Super Appliance Man was a God Send when my refrigerator started to act up during the pandemic. I called to schedule service. I have to admit that I was expecting the Covid-19 script. I got the exact opposite. I was great with great customer service, professionalism, and a prompt appointment time. I was told that they would service the unit the same day and arrived 30 minutes from ending the call. Pete, the repair man, was polite, knowledgeable, explained the process fully, and assured his safety and my own. Dwayne and Ms. Joann kept in constant communication all throughout the parts ordering process. I found this company to be professional, transparent, honest, reasonable in cost, and a all around great business for appliance repair. I have had nothing but excellent experiences with this company. From the initial call to the followup after the service was completed nothing but professionalism. They have serviced several appliances in my home washer, furnace, and just last month my refrigerator and I have absolutely no complaints! They respond within 24 hrs. and are very reasonable. I always request Pete, although I am quite sure all do good work, he comes in and gets the job done very courteous and polite. I am very careful about where I spend my money and giving my credit card information over the phone but I have had no problems and have gotten what I paid for. I was assigned Super Appliance Man through our home appliance warranty company. Although I was already confirmed the 3 hour time window that they would arrive, the service man called me when he was 30 minutes out. He was very efficient, friendly, and most of all took care of what needed to be done with our dual HVAC system and A/C condenser units. Billing was also very efficient. Their office called me when the tech. was on site to explain what services needed to be done and the extra costs beyond the appliance warranty coverage. We recently had to utilize our home warranty provided by the seller of our home as part of our closing deal. We have not had good experiences with other services using this policy. When the air went out they assigned us to Super Appliance Man, we had not heard of them before but they were fabulous. Very proactive about setting up appointments, technician showed up on time and he was amazing. His name is Pete and he was so polite and explained everything, went out of his way to make sure everything was right when wrong parts showed up he drove a ways to find the correct ones. While there was a delay from when we submitted the request to the initial diagnosis they actually called and arrive a day earlier than plan and quickly identified the issue. They ordered the part and I got a email notification once they placed the order and received a call shortly after to schedule the repair. They came early in the window and repaired the issue quickly. I've never had such a wonderful experience ! Sears home service came out TWICE to service my dryer but to no avail.... Dwayne from Super Appliance Man came out took the dryer apart and was able to diagnosed the issue. Within 24 hours his report was to my warranty company and they gave me a placement dryer. I was able to get a technician out in a day who was able to look at the machine and figure out what part needed to be replaced. I had a very nice visit today from one of the gentlemen from the company. My window was from 1 to 6pm, and he was able to come towards the early part of it. (I am bad with names..... sorry!) Anyway, the young man came in and checked my furnace; finding no problems with it, however, gave me information on how to recognize real problems if they arise. He answered questions he was able to answer, and was very polite and thorough the whole time. Super HVAC Man was extremely efficient and affordable. I am the Board President of my condo association and I was able to schedule maintenance for several of my unit owners within the same week. I got prompt service for my broken dishwasher. It needed parts ordered. I was notified that cost of several needed parts, some of which would take several days to get, would cost as much as a new machine (just parts, no labor charges). Repairman said if it was his machine, he would replace it. When I said that I agreed with that decision, he offered information on several discount places to search for good deals.
