COME HERE AT LUNCH! My lunch experience here is very different from my dinner experience. Dinner experience: *Waiters are irritable, especially towards children. Probably because there are tons of obnoxious trashy families that don't even try to make their kids behave. *People are rude and try to rip the people off. I have seen more than family not buy dinner for their kids, and then feed them off of their plate. I have seen one family tell the waiter that they were only going to buy 1 buffet for their twins because they will eat off the same plate. : / *Food is just above cafeteria grade. People mix the spoons and tongs into different dishes causing the food to mix a little. All the higher class food (salmon, crab, shrimp) is piled sky high by certain people so other people can rarely get to it. *It is expensive. $30 for me and my Grandma (who gets a senior discount from them) is a bit more than most buffets. Lunch experience: *Waiters are exceptional, pleasant and sweet. One small family had a toddler that wouldn't eat his food, so a waiter went over to him and played with him and got him to eat. *People keep to themselves, aren't overly obnoxious, and actually say "excuse me" when they bump into you. There are some large families, but their children aren't misbehaved, and they aren't loud and entitled. *Food quality is great. So great. It's not all mixed up by inconsiderate people who use the tongs in different foods. The cooks seem to take more time with it, probably because there aren't a bunch of gluttonous people piling their plates sky-high with the popular foods. *It is average priced, and well worth it. $18 for two people who buy drinks. THINGS TO TAKE NOTE OF: *They de-vein their shrimp at lunch. I've run into a few untreated shrimp at dinner. *The less popular dishes will sometimes get cold if left alone for too long. But, if you tell the waiter, they will go put a new batch up. *They don't have much raw sushi. If you're a fan of it, don't come here. Their sushi is very basic (tuna rolls, avocado rolls, fish egg stuff, fake crab.) FOOD TO TRY: *Fried zucchini. *Peanut chicken. *Fried donuts. *Red bean buns. FOODS TO AVOID: *Salmon. (It tastes very old.) *Eel sushi. (They cook it. You don't eat eel unless it's raw, it's all chewy and gross when cooked.) *All mayonnaise based salads (egg salad, macaroni salad, etc.,) UNLESS you like Miracle Whip. Because that is what they use. Summary: 5 stars at lunch time. 2 at dinner. Some dishes are great, some not so much. GO AT LUNCH. read more

Even though I live in clackamas, this is by far my favorite buffet/ restraunt. The staff there are very kind and always check in just at the right moments. All the staff are happy to take pictures of you and your table whenever you like. The food there is usualy fresh,and is really well prepared. I love this place and its food. All I could eat was $14.29 for dinner. After my first plate, one of the male servers came and took my cup of water to refill it at the back. It would've been preferred if he came with jug of ice water to refill it there in front of me. He took the first plate but he did not replace the spoon & fork that I ate with. He gently took the spoon & fork off of the plate that i ate with and placed them on top of the paper napkin on my designated table. Wouldn't it be nice if he took away the used utensils and get me new ones I can use for my second rounds ? I went to this buffet with three friends, it completely destroyed us. It was insane, no one could make it to plate three and we all felt badly ripped off we had paid almost 13 bucks for two plates of cheap food. However, the msg content was so intense that we were literally crying from laughter for two hours straight, which made for a pretty fun dining experience. If you want to trip balls on orange chicken this place is recommended. We wanted to dine and dash because the price was outrageous, but knew that there was no way in hell we could run anywhere after eating here. To top it all off, when we got up to leave the lady sitting directly across from the exit was wearing a shirt that said "game over". That pretty much summed up the experience. You won this time, superking, and we all cursed you for it. Also would like to add that I've heard rumors the Superking actually turns into a bukakiing megasord after the sun goes down and rains terror all up and down the Avenue of Roses. This place satisfied my hungover Chinese Buffet desires. It is not extraordinary, but it did the job, though I had no desire to squeeze more than two plates of food into my pie hole, which is uncommon for me at such establishments. Could it have been the threatening signs alerting people that they could be charged extra for wasting food? Yikes! I thought that was the whole point of these gluttonous, Western buffets--to pig out and eat more than you humanly should; to forget yourself and your carbon footprint for an hour and a half and EAT. It reminds me of that Simpson's episode where Homer ate at the all-you-can-eat seafood restaurant and he cleaned the place out, except that I would not have liked to clean this place out. I was sad that the Mongolian BBQ station was not functioning when I visited, but I am glad they had one, along with the usual Chinese buffet mediocre sushi and soft serve. I would have liked more vegetarian options, but it was on par with its counterparts in this department. I found the women's restroom very clean and inviting to the point that I was excited to share this with my lunch mates when the males I was dining with informed me that the men's room was so revolting and full of tweakers that one had to hold it until our post-chinese pilgrimage to Fubonn Supermarket! Wow, I do not even know where to begin. Came here for the first time for my uncle's birthday and my first impressions were very negative. The food looked EXTREMELY old. Fish was swimming in greasy seasoning and just absolutely gross. The pizza was very greasy. The chicken, all of the chicken, was in watery sauses and tasted overcooked and not fresh. The noodles were okay but the greens around seemed uncooked at all. The balance between flavors tasted odd and funny. LARGE selection of food but for myself I found only about 10% edible. Seems like every deep fried dish was fried in the same oil. The upside was the place was clean and servers seemed nice. Overall I would never recommend this place to anyone and I will not be coming back here again. And the dessert was VERY appealing on the eye, but again, was VERY disappointing. read more

Went there for the first time last night with low expectations. I was quite surprised. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food selection was fantastic! It's an Asian Buffet. Low quality food but at least they had oysters. The variety makes up for the low quality food. Service was ok. My son and I was just finishing up and asked for our check. I took him to the restroom to wash his hands, after a couple of minutes, the waiter rushed in the restroom trying to find me thinking we were going to dine and dash. I asked him "is everything all right?" . He gave me a startling stare(ok, you found me stare). He Did not say anything and I walked out with the check and debit card in my hand to go pay. Really? Went to this place about 5years ago the food was good. Went recently and everything was horrible. Bland and just gross. They still have most of the same food dishes there but the flavor was so disgusting. Even a simple dish that taste decent anywhere you ho such as the broccoli beef. I gagged and had to spit it out. Me and my family drove up there from Kelso, when we got there the food smelled and looked delicious. I was excited to try everything, sure wish I hadnt though. the rice was plain the egg soup straight up taste like unsaulted eggs, and the meat had a bad tecture. to sum things up i felt grose after eating. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY ON THIS PLACE! I took my family (14 adults plus 4 kids) here for dinner around 6:30 pm. First sign: no line and second, only a few group of people were there. I'm thinking to myself, "This place must not be good...." What the hell, we're already there so let's just give it a try. The first word that came out from the Manager's wife is, "How many people in your group?!". That was the 3rd bad sign about this place, NO GREETING. We were directed to our table and the waiter took our drink orders. Buffet goer's BEWARE, drinks are extra $$ and is not included! Now to the food table..... Nice lighting, hot and cold foods were nicely separated. There were a few dishes that looked like they've been there too long (wilted vegetables, the juice on a stir fry dish had evaporated and caked onto the silver pan leaving the meat and veggies glued to the pan) They had also started to close down one of the food "islands". The place is not scheduled to close for another 2 1/2 hours!! The food choices were limited as well as there desert table. The little mini cakes were dry, puff pastry was bland, fruits were unriped..... There's a "create-your-own" stir fry dish station towards the back of where the cold items are located. Checked it out and the trays of ingredients were almost empty. 2 things crossed my mind- either it is that good and they run out of ingredients quickly or they're getting ready to shut the station down for the day and don't want to take out a new batch of everything. I grabbed what very few ingredients they had left and gave to the Chef to cook. It was the BEST dish i had tried all night but only to find out that their secret ingredient to making the dish so yummy was a DEAD FLY!!!!!!! My fork immediately dropped and till this very day the thought of it just makes me want to hurdle. I showed my family members who sat around me and the waiter who was walking by, the DEAD FLY that was sewed into the noodle strands and covered with brown sauce. When our check was given to us , I took it to the cash register where the Manager's wife was waiting to ring the numbers up and reel in the cash. I requested that they compensate 1 adult meal as there was a dead fly in one of my dish. She had called the waiter whom had witnessed the incident to verify the information that I, the customer, provided before compensating one adult meal. The waiter twisted the story and stated that I had told him there was a fly flying around my dish and so happened to make a landing on my dish. The manager's wife said that since there is no evidence to prove either story, she was only able to give a 50% discount on 1 adult meal. NOTE TO SELF: KEEP THE DIRTY PLATE AS EVIDENCE NEXT TIME IF YOU FEEL THAT YOUR MEAL SHOULD BE COMPENSATED OR THREATEN TO REPORT THEM TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES!!!! read more

Today was my second visit to super king and i have to say that both times i was unimpressed with the food. some of it was very good but most of it was tasteless. On my first visit the waitress was pretty good while sitting at the table but once we were done she snatched the check out of our hands and ran to the front like we were going to leave without paying and watched us like a hawk while waiting for the visa to process. Today's visit made it so i will never go back, the food was poor except for a few items and we kept getting dirty looks from our waiter, when we asked for wet wipes to clean up a mess that my nephew made he huffed loudly then left without saying anything, he came back and gave us the wet naps and when we thanked him he sneered said "yeah, whatever" and walked away. when we went up to the front to pay i asked the man behind the register if i could speak to the manager and he told me i could just talk with him, i asked if he was the manager and he told me he wasn't so i told him it had to be a manager so he pointed to a man who was on his way to the front, when he got there i started telling him about the problem with the waiter and he stopped me and pointed to the guy at the register and told me to tell him because he wasn't the manager. By this point i was tired of the whole thing so i told him the problem and when i finished he asked for more details...what more did he need to know?!? if it were any other restaurant the whole "yeah, whatever" thing would have been more then enough! it was obvious that they didn't care about what happened and had no interest in following up with the waiter. This was the most disgusting buffet that I have ever been. I tried several small portions of different dishes and it all tasted like the way fish smells. I only ate pizza, salads and fruit. The cart that the lady brought the food on was filthy. The health inspector would have had a hay day. The food was not at temperature and as far as I was concerned.....dangerous. I have been to this place three times and after each visit I swear I will not return. This time I mean it, I won't get into the authenticity of this place- it's authentic food of some kind. All buffet restaurants use cheap ingredients, they are about quantity over quality at those prices. If you are frugal and gluttonous, like myself, all you can eat places seem practical. To get the most for your money go for the seafood, which can't be eaten after 3:30 if you paid lunch price. There is a need to put the food out as fast as possible so not much care went into preparation, Especially the sushi. This should not come as a surprise. Just because this place exists doesn't mean you should go there. Try it out if you want and if you have more than two star taste you will not return. I read many reviews about the Super King Buffet restaurant which were pretty mixed between good and bad. I decided to give it a try today for an early dinner. The sushi was fair to minimum. There were maybe six or seven or so varieties and four of them had the same filling. Basically a Ca. roll with something slightly different on top. The peel and eat pepper shrimp were literally impossible to peel and were mushy and bad tasting. The Cocktail peel and eat shrimp were easier to peel however also mushy and flavorless. I saw some snow crab legs and got a couple and found them to be old and smelly, not even edible. I mentioned it to one of the employees and they were indifferent, didn't acknowledge I even said anything to them. I tried several of their chicken dishes including spicy wings and they all were awful tasting. None of the food was hot that I tried either. The only thing I tried on the warm buffet that I liked was the Coconut shrimp, it was actually quite delicious. Although I figured out that it was the Cocnut shrimp upon reading some reviews again tonighjt before I wrote this as the employee I asked what the dish was at the retaurant told me pineapple shrimp ?? And also the Beef and Broccoli wasn't too bad. Overall I would say that this place is not worth the money even though it is dirt cheap. Was $13.65 with an Iced tea.
