7 years ago I was extremely happy with my haircut. Enough that this was the only place I would go since then, but I've changed my mind after my last haircut. It's literally the worst haircut I've ever had in my entire life. I am not being dramatic; it's that bad. I was happy while I was there and I even left a tip because I didn't get a good look at it until I actually arrived home. Not only was my cut crooked, but the front was left MUCH longer than the back. Literally cut off more than half of my hair when I asked them to keep the length. The stylist literally didn't listen to what I asked for at all even when showed a clear picture, and I felt like the whole process was hurried for me when they took their time with everyone else's haircut before me. This is the first time in my life I've ever come home and started crying hysterically because of such a bad haircut, and there's nothing I can do since hair can't be put back. Even people at work were telling me how shocked they were that a stylist would leave my hair looking so bad. Several colleagues even asked if it was a student cosmetologist who is learning because of how amateur it looks. Now I have to find another stylist to fix the bad haircut I received and make my hair even shorter when I didn't want that in the first place. I won't ever be back again. read more

I totally get why this place can get busy! The girls there are very welcoming and sweet and of course they are talented. We were coming from out of town and my husband desperately needed a hair cut, we called prior to arrival and thankfully we were able to get on the list. My daughter also got a hair cut! Joanna did a great job on my husband, he is very picky on who does his hair but it came out amazing!!! So happy because now he has a place he can trust whenever we can't get it taken care of prior to leaving town. Even though the girls got busy, they greeted each customer with a smile. The supercuts crew is doing really well with Covid restrictions and making sure everyone keep 6 feet distance between haircuts an appointment is necessary so that walkins just not get very busy. The person and Joanna I think is taking care of my brother and his haircut and making sure all the safety precautions as in we're in the mass and becoming more aware that these restrictions are needed to keep us safe. Place was clean , I was greeted upon arrival. I was asked if I had a reservation, no. I'm directed to the iPad thing to check in. I followed the promps. I then sat and waited. Someone else comes in after me and she asks if he has a reservation. He said yes then proceeds to tell me I don't have a reservation, so he goes first. What the heck? Why did I sign in and give all that information. She then proceeded to tell me that I needed to make a reservation after the ipad thingy. Super disappointed! Lack of communication and customer service skills. She knew I had been waiting. I could have been accommodated but she didn't even try. Needless to say I left . They need to do better read more

I went in for a trim yesterday and got my hair butchered. I have been growing out my hair since last october but my hair had no shape so I went to get my layers touched up. I explained that I was trying to grow out my short hair and did not want to loose length. My hairdresser was Lilia and she explained that my hair was extremely damaged and she needed to cut off the dead parts. I agreed as I would rather have healthy shorter hair instead of longer damaged hair. She told me she would be cutting off an inch but she seems to have cut more. The layers are uneven, one side is shorter than the other, I can't put it up because the top layer sticks out, and it looks worse than it did before. When I left the salon my hair was still wet so I couldn't see how it really looked, so I was horrified when it completely dried. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a supercuts and I will not be going back. read more

Last time I got a haircut was before the pandemic. Since than I have been cutting my hair bald 4 times. Always mess up my hair, so its better having it bald than a messed up hair. I use to go to South Gate to get a haircut, but the location has been sold and have new employees. Finding a new place has been hard. I'm very picky on who I pick and the reviews have to be positive. Before picking supercuts I called someone else, but just didn't like the attitude of the person I was talking with. With supercuts, the employee I spoke with to confirm my appointment, was very professional and made me feel comfortable. The person who cut my hair did an amazing job and communicaifon was amazing. In the past, I've had bad experienced with getting my hair cut and just felt boring since the person never communicated. But the experience with supercuts was amazing. I definitely have found my new home to get my hair cut and will start taking my sisters. I recommend making an appointment if possible. read more

Then I arrive at the time I'm supposed to be there and I had to wait an hour and twenty minutes for my haircut. What the actual f**k? Very happy with the service provided at this supercuts location. The establishment is clean and their efforts taken to insure customers are distanced and safe by sanitizing stations after each use and allowing customers to remain in their vehicles and receiving a call once they are ready for their haircut is much appreciated. Big fan of the call ahead system. I'm very particular about my hair, I alternate between a barbershop and supercuts but find myself coming back to supercuts more often. The stylists I've used have all been very attentive and done a great job. The staff is friendly and professional making for a grear environment. So I go there and they take my phone number and I leave thinking they were going to call me or text me...I wait over an hour, so I go back and I tell them that I'll be back and they tell me they are closing and I asked if they were even going to call or text me and lady said "OH NO WE DONT DO THAT"... My hair my not be too fancy but I still need a good haircut. My first time visiting this hair stylist and I think I found a great place to come back to. I checked in, while waiting for my turn I went next door to Ralphs to grab some vitamins and bananas. The advantage of this place is the Ralphs next door, its promixity from the 5 freeway and convenience of other places nearby including gas stations for people wanting to maximize their time. It lies in the plaza on Lakewood & Gallatin near a coffeeplace, Mcdees, subway, Ralphs, Curves, Sushi and Chris & Pitts(across street) My stylist Magda was great, she was conversational but not overly chatty. From begining to end she was perfect. When I left my hair was as symetrical as it needs to be, clean and trim. There was plenty of parking in this lot. The place was clean and quiet with indoor voices. They also had the laker game on the television. Because I enjoyed this place, got a great cut and is near other places which maximize my time I do plan to come back. read more

My experience at this location has not been the best the past couple of visits. On one visit, when I walked in I let the stylist know that I checked in online. Her response, well the online system is down for our location so you must have checked in for another supercuts. I verified the address, showed them i could easily check in again via my iPhone, nope. Even after watching me do it....according to them Im still checking into another location. Must be some other invisible supercuts on Gallitin. Ok fine, they don't want to admit their own system doesn't work but customer blaming, odd. I was relieved when Ashley called me for a haircut, my boys were also getting their haircuts too after me. She had cut my hair 3x before and was always pleasant, not this day. I told her I was happy she was cutting my hair (because she cut it so well before and I feared 1 lady there...which we will get to in a second) Her response, rudely: "well I don't remember what I did so what do you want!" I didn't expect her to remember me or my hair, I was just complementing her. Talented but rude. My teen was called by the lady id hoped wouldn't be cutting our hair, unfortunately I was facing down. I noticed she wasn't do what my teen wanted. undercut, 0 on the sides, 1/4 off the top. Well she was doing a low taper fade, half off the top. Of course she blamed my teen who is of very few words (shy) and doesn't know what taper means. More customer blaming. The next visit for my teens haircut someone else cut his hair but the original lady was there and felt free enough to talk trash about us within earshot. Since the stylist cutting my teens hair didn't stop her, we refrained from tipping. (apparently I don't learn my lesson) I don't know the name of the girl who cut my hair. She was blonde, short hair w/bangs. May be new. I told her I had a layered lob. Shorter in the back, longer in the front. Leave the bangs. She took her time cutting my hair (too much off btw) and I felt like she was cutting it even for a LAYERED lob so I gave her a friendly reminder about the layers and angle. She wet my hair so much...I couldn't 100% tell if it was right but I knew it looked wrong. I asked if it was angled, she said yes. Upon going home, after washing and attempting to style my hair, I found so many sections 2 inches longer than the rest and my hair isn't angled at all. I feel like I have a Door the Explorer cut. Its horrible. Im scared to go back and get it fixed since my hair was cut so short, at this point im going to have to grow it out a couple weeks then hopefully get it fixed. THE worst haircut ever.
