This Supercuts location gets 5 stars as long as Eli is here. I wouldn't recommend seeing anyone else for your hair care needs. He is professional, efficient, and always leaves you looking better than when you walked in. It's great to be able to walk in and not have to tell Eli how I want my hair cut, he remembers, and does it right every time. He is also the manager of this location, and it looks like he runs a tight ship. His staff is always friendly, and helpful and greets you as soon as you walk in. Make sure to call ahead and make a reservation, because the guy gets very busy. Totally understandable though, he is the best barber on island. Check this dude out you won't regret it. read more

This is place is only good if your in a hurry and want something cheap. I was horrified with my haircut. So much so that i went somewhere the day after to fix it. I said i wanted layers kinda choppy with a v style at the ends. Also i asked the lady to shave off my baby hairs on the back of my neck. The line came out crooked! My "stylist" was "Chanbi" and when she was done, she started putting the leave in conditioner, she was pulling and tugging my hair. Super rough, i ended up with a headache after. So Im definitely not going back there and i do not recommend this place. read more

The last couple of haircuts that I got here were really done well. I wanted to look clean but not have too much taken off the top. When asked she could share why. She was very helpful when customers came in to purchase products in the salon. My boyfriend usually always goes to this location cause he doesn't really care about getting a great haircut, but yesterday he came home and the chick who cut his hair did a bad job!!!! The back part is terrible! He has a scar from being in a car accident many years ago and always asks for them not to cut it too short in the back. She butchered his hair. It looks like she changed blades cause it goes from ok looking to super short. Don't go here unless you just don't care what you hair will look like. read more

Come here every week to get my sidecut cleaned up, lemme say that Eli is a heck of a barber. He's the only one that lines me up correctly and can low-key throw some designs in your hair too. Very professional and always a fun experience when I come here. When Eli's not in, most of the ladies can be just as good. The receptionist Samson is an amazing worker. He'll jump in and shampoo your hair when no ones available and does such a great job explaining the product in the store. If I could, I'd move this supercuts and all of its workers right next to my house lol. I really DON'T recommend this place. I'm not sure if it was the person who was cutting my hair but they did the complete opposite of my hair!!! What I wanted for my hair was just wanted longer layers in my hair and to not cut so much. I told the guy and even showed him the shortest I wanted it. My hair was about 13 14 inches long. Up to my hips. So after he chops it off to about where I wanted it. But after that he just kept on cutting and cutting. Now my hairs up to my shoulders. So he cut almost all of my hair off. I have come to this location a few times to get a gift card, every time I was told there was none. I tried again the other day since I was in the area. Salon was busy, I walked in and the hairdresser that was near the register looked like oh now what- I asked if they had gift cards? She looked at me like I was inconveniencing her, she replied to me , I don't think so and turned around and continued to work on the customer. "I don't think so" to me means you're not sure- she never bothered to check or even apologize for "possibly" not having the product, she just ignored me! I recently moved back to Honolulu after living in Los Angeles for almost 3 years. One thing about the move that I was dreading was having to go on another wild goose egg hunt to find myself another hair stylist with talent and one who I could trust with utmost confidence to give me that fresh cut each and every visit. After going to and being disappointed by a few hair salons around town, who knew I would find my stylist during a happen chance visit to the Supercuts on Keeaumoku. I only visited the store because I needed a quick haircut in 30 minutes before a dinner meeting. This is where I met Jiah! Right off the bat, Jiah demonstrated a rare sense of professionalism and amiable customer service. She was easy to talk to and listened to my every request. I am very particular with my hair so it was refreshing to find a stylist who was as patient as Jiah. She was even able to offer me suggestions on how I should cut my hair. Since that first visit in December 2016, I have revisited the Supercuts on Keeaumoku at least twice a month and I always request for Jiah to cut my hair. She really knows how to do a men's fade and is talented/knowledgeable enough to cut any style for men. I trust her with my hair and I totally recommend everyone else to do ask for Jiah as well! read more

There is this rude girl people are talking about here and in the reviews in different websites. I dealt with her today.I don't know her name, but she is plus size and has major tattoos under her neck, asian/local. The first time I went, I cut my hair with Zoey. Local girl. She has great, she listened, and patient. Very polite and careful. My husband liked the barber guy. So far we were happy. . Went again after a few months. Zoey was being rushed by this rude girl. It was a disaster. Part of my hair was shorter than the other, there were parts longer between and the full back, and was a bit shorter than I wanted. I barely had time to check the hair. I actually felt bad for Zoey. Went there to fix it after a few days. Gosh, I wished Zoey was there to fix her own cut. This girl was rude from the moment I arrived and explained her that I needed to fix my hair. I was very nice about all this. No good morning, no i m sorry, no compassion at all for me. I was very tolerant of this and gave her a chance.. I think she was concerned about the costumers arriving, and that fixing would not bring her money. She started saying that she did not like the ends that I wanted, then she cut in a straight line, which I said I did not want. I asked if she needed to do that so she could do the point cut I wanted. No direct answer to that or any of my other questions. Then she said she had to blow my hair dry. I did not wanted but let her. She turned me away from the mirror.Then she started cut my hair again without explaining what she was doing. When she turned me back I was done... The front part was shorter. Instead of being considerate to me, explaining what she was doing, she kept paying attention to other costumers arriving. Then I started to ask her to explain before hand what she was doing as she was doing... she started to attack me, with the full local attitude, then refused to continue service. I requested my money back while she continue to go on me. I tried to explain how ridiculous the situation was... I was the costumer with a bad haircut, twice.... and then was attacked by her next costumer coz I was speaking too much- she arrived 5 minutes earlier and did not knew the situation. Yes, when I realized this girl did not care what I wanted and was just doing her thing in my hair, I made sure she listed to me so damage would not get worse. I said in a nice way, was not rude or screaming in any manner. I know this type of hairstylist... they know best everything, they will do stuff without your permission, and get angry at you if you have questions or any issues. They only like to cut hair of certain people. No professionalism. Went to another hairstylist, she agreed that what Zoey was doing was the cuttest, fixed the ugly straight cut this rude girl did, gave me her opinion about the front, fixed and did an amazing job and it is beautiful. I'm happy and satisfied. I suggest to always talk to the stylist before sitting in the chair... if they have an attitude, if they have no patience, are rushing you, are not polite, and they do not pay full attention on you, DO NOT LET THEY TOUCH YOUR HAIR. read more

I would like to give this place a two stars but since the price is so cheap I decided to give it three stars. Consider the price, this place is cheap (I paid about 18 bucks for my haircut). The staffs were nice but not super nice. When the woman at that place was cutting my hair, she was talking to another staff. Seemed like they cut each others' hair. I thought..."hmmm both of them have such a nice haircut, I hope they would cut my hair nice like that too." Wrong! I was totally wrong. I asked them to layer my hair and I found out that my hair looked veeeery choppy. I couldn't believe a hairstylist would do such a bad job. On top of that, I walked out of that place with my hair wet like I just finished a shower. They sprayed my hair with water when cutting my hair but they never dried it. I've never had such a bad service like this. I mean...come on...couldn't you just blow my hair for a few minutes! How could they let a customer walked out with a wet hair like that? My family frequents the Salt Lake Supercuts location and the "Stylists" are great. They are always so welcoming,friendly and are great at cutting hair.. Unfortunately, my recent visit there was one of disbelief and disappointment. The "RECEPTIONIST" was rude and obnoxious . It started when she erroneously added two of my family members on the same ticket. When I realized what she had done, I told her that the transactions are separate because we wanted to use our coupons. The very nice assistant manger (sorry cant recall her name) told her that she would need to cancel the transaction. She loudly sighed and rolled her eyes. She also made the comment that I didn't tell her. I said, you should have asked before assuming that I would pay for both haircuts. I then asked about the balance on the gift card she replied'"you showed me a receipt". I just wanted to verify the amount and make sure I had enough to cover the tip using the gift card. She snapped saying that she'd have to do another transaction for the tip and with that came the attitude . She loudly sighed and rolled her eyes again. I told her she was rude and she became very argumentative with me. As I was explaining the situation to the manager, she would interject with rude comments. I might be understanding if it was busy and if there was a line of customers behind me, but none was behind me and it was unusually slow. Unfortunately, she is the first one to greet and meet perspective clients. With this attitude they'll be lots of empty chairs and she'll be out of a job. Customer service 101 training for this receptionist . Everybody knows the customer is always right, even when they're wrong....but not in this case! read more

I will not be returning to this location ever again. Not only did the stylist rush my haircut but after I pointed out to her that the blend she did was crooked she replied "it's because yo hair is thicker that one spot." She then tried to even it out but was unable to and now my hair is uneven along with my side burns that she didn't bother checking. I'll be contacting the owner to show what Sophie considers an ok haircut. I come to this location often and to be treated like this is unbelievable. 5 stars to Norlyn! I've been a regular to this Supercuts for over a year now. I was going to Thom's for a while but that wasn't working out. My fade was always too high even when I always ask for the same thing each visit. The back was always too short so I ended up looking like alfalfa with my hair sprouting out! And when I asked to thin out my hair a bit..it didn't turn out to be just a "Bit"..anyway, I just so happen to be at Walmart running last minute errand before my flight that very evening...and totally forgot my usual barber wasn't in. I stepped in..they were bit busy but I was assure I'd be next when a chair opens up..I must have waited for a little less than 10 minutes when it was my turn. I got Norlyn and I explained how I ended up there and she laughed and said hopefully after she cuts my hair that I wouldn't be going back to my old barber. 1yr later...I'm still getting my fresh fade and hard line from Norlyn! She's chill, easy to talk to, she's hillarious and found out we got some mutual friends too! I always make sure I call ahead to see if she's in ..maybe like a day or so prior. They've gotten a littler pricier than previous years but it's worth it if your barber knows what their doing and does a great job. I've even brought my little nephew to get his haircut from Norlyn as well and the little guy's looking quite fly! read more

I read all the reviews on how bad the cuts were at this place and how they've all had bad experiences, and I was a little skeptical about coming here. Last week I was shopping at walmart and decided it was time for a cut and I would just go anyway. I had called in ahead to reserve my spot (I thought it would be busy lol). When I arrived I was greeted by a really cute and friendly receptionist. He looked really familiar and I realized that he was the same friendly worker that helped me out at zumiez in ala moana. What a coincidence!!! I could never forget such a cheerful person. He added me to the computer and sent me to a stylist. I was helped by a friendly Asian lady. Her name was van. During the cut she was very talkative and had a lot of fun stories to tell. Next thing you know, my haircut was done! it was so quick and I was really liking the turnout. I ended up asking for highlights too because I figured I might as well while im here and I was the only customer in the store at the time. While van went to the back to prepare everything, I caught up with ty from our last encounter in zumiez and we talked about how its such a small island!! lol. He helped van mix the bleach and van applied it to my hair. While I was waiting, Ty was kind enough to check on me from time to time to see if I was okay and offered me magazines to keep me occupied. I was really satisfied with how my hair turned out and im soo happy that my first experience here was a great one! Thanks guys! read more
