I have been going there for years. Today I walked in, was the only person there first words were do you have a reservation? I said yes I made the appointment on line. (Which said they had a 40 minute wait) She pulls up my info. Laughs a little points to something for her coworker to see. I tried to just let it go. Could have been a typo or wrong wording. Still didn't feel right. She then cut my hair quickly. No measuring to be sure it was even. It looks ok. I mostly just wanted some length off. I really wanted my hair cut on the day that I realized I really need a hair cut. I initially called Fantastic Sam's. They didn't answer the phone. I drove over to Fantastic Sam's. They would not let me make an appointment in person. The lady was rude even after I explained to her I tried to phone first. She said she was too swamped and to re call again. I remembered there was a Supercuts near Weight Watchers. I was pleasantly surprised that they were not swamped. I would be able to get in today. As I sat down, I checked out the prices. $27 for a hair cut. $ 7 for a shampoo. OK I thought. This is a decent price for this place. I certainly hope they do not live up to their 2 to 3 star review. I saw a lady paying for her haircut. She had dark long hair with perhaps a lighter color that she was growing out. Her hair was dry. Her haircut albeit straight was crooked. Both hair stylists were free. The man hair stylist took the man who had an appointment. I was helped by Anna. I like Anna's personality. We are both teachers, I believe. I hoped this would haircut would be epic, so I could boost her with stars. I opted for the haircut and the shampoo. I said NO to the $20 blow dry that she quoted me. Shampoo & conditioner, that she thought was $11 or $12, went well. I said I had not had my haircut in over a year. I said I needed the dead ends cut off. She recommended layers. I said Yes. I had them already. She asked how much should I cut off. I replied with my fingers indicating 1.5 to 2 inches. She asked about if I prefer to wear my hair up or down. I said I prefer it down, however I tend to wear it in a bun. We talked about her career in Special Ed. as she cut my hair. I saw the large parcels of my hair being cut and dropped on the ground. Another woman, the receptionist perhaps?, was quickly sweeping the hair away. I continued to listen to Anna's stories of her as a crisis Special Ed. teacher. I saw Anna cut the layers. What I didn't see is Anna making sure that my hair was even on both sides. I didn't see her cut my layers on a diagonal. She rapidly said, All done. I thought I could live with how short it is. I gave her a $10 tip on a $34 haircut (not knowing what it really looked like.) After I blow dried it at home, I was really sad. Not only is my left side of my hair longer than the right, my "layers" are choppy and unbecoming. Aahhhh. So frustrated. I should have had patience, read the reviews and not have expected a different outcome. Shame on me. I LOVE giving great reviews. I am sad that Supercuts did an inferior job. Oh Anna. :-( read more

Came in, we said how we wanted it but the stylist had their own thoughts and didn't do anything we asked. Even when we told her to stop, she laughed and continued. Worst hair cut ever I have ever had! Not joking. I asked for a number 2 on the side undercut, which she even acknowledged she saw my undercut. Still she ended up cutting the entire top of the undercut and didn't even fade the sides, not only do I not have any hair to cover the sides the sides aren't even faded. Everything is completely uneven and didn't even shave the sides all the way clean. Anyone with no experience would have done a better job. I don't care if the haircut is free I would never go back. They should just close down this place for good. read more

Quick service! Maybe too quick. No wait and was In and out of the chair in about 20 minutes. I would say you get what you pay for, but at 31 dollars I'd say it's not worth it. Spend that money somewhere else towards a person who will actually take their time with you. I have been coming here since 2017 and have always sent people to this place. I went in today, showed Maria (name on receipt) pictures of me with the haircut that I have been given there previously and asked for the same Farrah Fawcett, princess Diana feathered look. She took a rubber band, put it around my front hairs and cut. She then cut the bangs in one cut. I gave her a chance to feather it, but she just trimmed the ends. She didn't even try any of the feathering/blending techniques that I have seen other stylists do on my hair for years. Just because I cant do it myself doesn't mean I don't pay attention to the people who I PAY to feather my hair correctly. Less than 5 minutes later, as I was crying they proceeded to charge me the full $31. I have always defended SuperCuts, but after paying for someone to use the rubber band method that you see on YouTube, and not even blend when I asked... Update: I Did receive a full refund in the end and they were very apologetic and nice about it. Do NOT get your hair cut here! I would give -5 starts if I could. I'm shocked that they allow people to walk out with such horrible hair cuts. I don't recall the stylists name and did not get a receipt of course but I did pay with a card and made an online appointment so there should be enough of a record for a refund. I called this morning to let them know how upset we were after seeing her hair washed and dry at home but they said no refunds, only offered to have another stylist fix it. There's no way I'm going back there to risk further damage. I took my daughter to get her hair cut and am absolutely appalled at the result!!! She has long straight hair. We asked for an inch off and some long layers around the face. It's a complete hack job! I'm shocked at how bad it is actually. I called the salon to ask for a refund and they only offered for someone else to fix it. I will never step foot into a super cuts again. It's very choppy and it took her about 10 minutes to cut her hair. I would really like my money back so I can pay to have it fixed. She starts middle school in 2 weeks at a new school. We called ahead for a cut and style for my daughter. The receptionist was courteous but the first hair stylist MARIA that helped us the WORST EVER. She was upset because the front desk didn't charge us correctly so she took it out on my young daughter by being rude and pulling her hair. I asked if she can texture the ends and she didn't know what that meant, it looked horrible. She raised her voice at me when I went over to check in at her. I don't know if she was menopausal or something but I told her I wanted someone else to style her hair because she was sooooo RUDE and MEAN. I have never seen such horrible customer service. The front desk apologized for her rudeness. We did nothing wrong to deserve this type of service. Christine finished the style and fixed the cut, she was very gentle and nice to my 7 year old. I try and have my haircut here once or twice a month, there is a woman that cuts my hair her name is Rosie. She does the best job and knows exactly what I want. I asked for a scissor cut I live close by so when she sees my face she knows who I am and when I see hers I normally ask for her to cut my hair because I'm 100% confident in the way she cuts hair. I went in to get a haircut with a photo of what I wanted, and Maria Ramirez did a terrific job! I wanted a layered bob, and at first, the layers didn't look the way they did in the photo. I'm not good with hair terminology, but Maria figured out that I didn't want my layers "blended." That was exactly right; I wanted my layers choppy and messy because I'm all thumbs when it comes to doing any styling, so if the style's meant to look messy, that works for me. Ok real review here. This place is busy with regulars. You can see a few times outsole come in making appointment with their favorite stylist. They all what style you want. How much to trim the front, how much to trim the back. Since I'm not sure how much, they showed a photograph and u choose the middle. Ill ask for shorter on the back next time. Anna did a great job on my hair. Although it is not rocket science to do a buzz cut, what I really like was what she told me about the buzz cut special. I can get cleaned up with my number 1 every 10 days for only 6 bucks. I usually go to Floyds by my work in the valley and pay 30 bucks with tip For a buzz and goat trim. I had Melissa and got a trim. I have medium length hair with layers. I felt that she did a great job. My hair looks great I haven't got anything to complain about. She put some nice shine stuff in my hair after that smelled like watermelon and I liked that little touch. I didn't give 5 stars because well Supercuts is a very bare bones kind of service and charge extra for everything. So I didn't get a shampoo which I love..... Patricia is a magical with her hands. A true hair artist. She could have her own hair salon but we are all lucky she works at Supercuts! I called the day before I came and explained to the woman I spoke to that I have thick curly hair and asked if there was anyone in the salon that knew how to do my hair. She said yes and made me an appointment for the next day. I went in and originally wanted to do a color, wash, blow dry and straighten. Then I switched to a wash, blow dry and straighten. Don't get me wrong the lady that did my hair was really nice and I would go back just because she was sweet but as far as doing my hair I wouldn't go back. If you're black and have thick hair this is not the place to go. I felt like I was being asked how I do my hair because they didn't know how to do it. My hair was halfway washed (my roots were barley touched), my hair was halfway blow dried (still super damp after leaving) and didn't get the flat iron. The one thing I HATE about big companies like super cuts is they over price for the texture of your hair. My hair is shoulder length which is medium length but because it's thick people get away with charging me the long hair prices which is annoying. Overall I will not go back to Supercuts but the lady that helped me was nice enough to try to do my hair instead of turning me away. read more

They should change the name of the store to Butchercuts. The stylist, Jessica, botched my daughter's hair cut. She did more combing than cutting. She had another stylist come over 3 times to assist her. My daughter was in tears and devasted because she wanted a special cut to begin her senior year in high school. I spoke with the manger and told her that I didn't want to pay for the hair cut. she proceeded to blame my daughter for not communicating what she wanted and not bringing in a photo. I paid but, then made and appointment at the highly reputable salon Pinups for the next day. Fortunately, they did an excellent job fixing an awful bowl cut. Patrica is fantastic. I followed her from two Supercuts locations in Oxnard, to the one in Ventura. She's been consistent and always friendly. The other stylists are good also. The store location is great. If the wait is long, I can run some quick errands at the CVS next door. Parking is good most of the time when the gym nearby isn't busy. read more
