Don't ever use superior moving. The two guys that moved us were not professional at all and not very fast either and stole my Movado watch. I explained everything to the owner and even told him that we tipped them over $100 dollars and he gave me lip service saying that he was going to do everything he could to make it up to me and all he did was send me one ten dollar check. Superior was recommend to be by a previous customer I cant say enough good things. The pricing was amazing, they beat out 4 other companies I called. We were only moving 4 miles, in city limits and I was getting quotes of $4k-7k They were less than1/3 of this price. Superior moved my TV and mattress with no issues (other places wanted to charge extra for this). The movers- Curtis, Pookie and crew were so professional and did an amazing job, is was over 90 degrees out and they were not complaining. I've used Superior two times before so I used them again because the first two times I had a good experience. Well things don't always stay the same. The movers were an hour late, and smelled of WEED. Although the movers (3) were very nice, they took an extremely amount of time moving into my new place. The total bill was over the top, but I sucked it up and paid. However, they lost or destroyed two of my lamps and never owned up to it. I've contacted them, but have not been contacted back with a courtesy reply! I will not use them again and advise others not to either. read more

Three guys showed up to move me: Albert, Jaime and Rowan: they were awesome. They wrapped everything in plastic and took my bed apart. Even though the distance was less than a mile, the elevator was being serviced. They guys walked all my belongings ups 3 flights of stairs. It wasn't until there was only 1 piece of furniture left that the elevator started working. Before the guys left they put my tv back on the stand, which took a little work to do, but they did that too. I would definitely recommend this company and specifically, the team that moved me. I was hesitant to use a moving service - ripped off more than a decade ago so always moved myself with friends/beer/pizza. This time had more so hired Superior. They were very accommodating - did a site visit to give me a hard quote; worked with me when I had to reschedule the date. Then the elevator in my new bldg went out of service the afternoon before the move-in. Let them know; they accommodated. Moving crew of Josh, Kurt, John, Howard arrived - friendly, professional, knowledgeable and FAST. Had my large 1BR furniture & 60 boxes on the truck in under an hour; got to the new location & estimated 2 hours to unload - up 3 flights of stairs. Finished in just at an hour while remaining cheerful, polite, friendly & so, so helpful. Highly recommend - ask for Josh & his team. They were amazing. read more

I've used this company two times before and had excellent service. My last move I believe one of the three men deliberately put dirt on my mattress after I provided him with a mattress cover. They pushed in one of the drawers to my dresser so that it almost couldn't be opened, and they placed my furniture on the ground outside with leaves so that when I went to plug in my recliner it had leaves on it. I asked to send Rob pictures of my mattress and he never returned my call. Very disappointed. read more

I don't ever make reviews but I had to today. We booked this company for a move. We live in a 600sq one bedroom apartment. We told them it would be between 8-10 boxes. We have ten boxes. We told them we have a two piece sectional with an ottoman. Hall console. A dresser. And a shoe rack. We booked for 1:30 pm. They called at 11 am asking if they could come earlier. Unfortunately not. They called us at 1 saying they'd be late as they have another move to do? Okay. We wait till 3:30 pm. The two guys come in and look around. Claim they're going downstairs to get equipment. Well they called their supervisor who was very rude over the phone trying to argue with me regarding what I have. If the boys would've asked I would've told them some of this furniture wasn't getting moved and going into the trash. But instead they said it's too late for this huge move and they wouldn't finish by the end of the day. I don't understand how any moving company can just cancel a move because it "looks" like too much. The only addition was a shelf that they claim they didn't know ahead of time. I would never recommend this moving company. On the day of my move in Superior didn't show up between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. as promised I gave them a call . Bob from the company explain to me that the truck was in the shop and the part will take three weeks to come back. Needless to say they never called me I had to call them. Superior move call me the day of my move to confirm my move . They also asked if they can come back out and do another quote and I explain to them you already came to do a whole why do another one. They explain to me that they were putting my belongs in the truck with another persons belongings that was headed the same way I was going. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - You will be overcharged and the job will not be completed. And they may break a few things. I'm only giving one star because at least they showed up. Moved my mother from a one bedroom apartment into my house. At the apartment the movers loaded her furniture fairly quickly. The problems began with unloading and taking the furniture into my house. The movers did not reassemble the bed even though the contract stated they would. They did not want to take the dressers upstairs and were going to try to leave them in the living room until I insisted they be taken upstairs and placed in the proper bedrooms. They a left box spring outside of my house. Some items were broken, picture attached. They left everything in the living room despite labels indicating the rooms they should go to. Then they left early. They said they had an emergency meeting at the office. I called Rob, the salesperson, to discuss my dissatisfaction. He said he would call me the next morning and that he would rectify everything. Then he asked me for a good review. Rob never called me back. When I contacted him 2 days later, he acted like he did not remember our previous conversation. How could he possible expect a good review when this company dropped the ball and then did nothing to rectify the situation? read more

It was hard to fit everything into a smaller apt and they were a huge help....giving me ideas and moving things and was very gentle with my things. On March 4, 2024, I moved from a two story house to an apartment in a large complex. I was concerned about the efficiency of the movers once they arrived at my new home. There were many residents around and traffic. Little did I know how well things would go. I had a four man team of Lamont (the boss ) Andre, Christopher and Shaq. They were all courteous, well mannered gentlemen who also happened to be super hard working, strong and fast. They moved me from start to finish in approx 4 hours, and didn't damage any of my belongings. Lamont even helped me with decorating ideas. They were punctual,efficient, honest, careful, and worked very well together to get some large furniture into my apartment. I communicated with the owner,Mark, several times before the move. I have never written a negative review before, but I feel so disappointed by this company and I wished I had know this information before we used them. We moved in September from our home of 38 years. We trusted that they had years of experience. My husband went over every item we were taking with us on the move, including our wall mounted TVs to get an estimate on cost. once we unpacked we realized several items had been damaged in the move, Wall art, Wall picture frames, a toy chest, we really didn't get so distressed over the these items, until we discovered that our 75" TV had a broken screen!! In hindsight having not have moved in 38 years, we realized that most items weren't packaged correctly! We reached out to the company immediately. The owner spoke to my husband and he proceeded to say that electronics weren't covered unless we took out the additional insurance at the time of the move, and that it would have been our responsibility to have packaged them in the original boxes we bought them in, like who even keeps that?? Long story short he did agree to replace the TV. its now Dec. and my husband has been back to speak with the owner several times and he still hasn't replaced the TV. He didn't stand behind his word. The only reason I booked Superior was because Mambo couldn't accommodate an end of the month move after getting out of my lease. A family friend recommended Superior and said they had a great experience using them. I wish I could say the same. They incorrectly assumed that sending 2 movers was sufficient because I was moving stuff out of a 1BR apartment. My move consisted of a bed, four large pieces of furniture, and three small to mid sized pieces of furniture along with the normal stuff you'd move out of a 1BR apartment. Mambo sent four people to move me out. They showed up on time, which I was happy about. One guy came in to have me sign some paperwork and take a look at the layout of where my stuff was. He told me not to pay for extra insurance, so I didn't. After telling me how long he's been moving stuff, he starts whining about my bed like 'ugh, it's one of those beds?'. My bed is a pretty standard IKEA bed, which two other moving companies had zero issues with. He then asks ME how it's disassembled. The next thing he tells me is that if they get a ticket, it's my responsibility to pay for it. My apartment didn't have a proper loading dock, but Mambo and many other movers move people in and out without issue. I looked at my phone and it was 20 minutes before anything was out of my apartment. I have no idea what they were doing for 20 minutes. The guy starts whining again because not all of my stuff is boxed. They didn't have any carts with them. All they brought was a little dolly, which was dangerously small for the large furniture I had. Mambo brought carts, and very efficiently moved my stuff out into their truck. I boxed up anything that I felt was heavy and the rest of my stuff was put into reusable grocery bags. Considering they didn't have a cart with them, it was probably easier for them than carrying boxes anyway. I then noticed that they were very slow to take anything out of my apartment. Nowhere near the max capacity they could carry, especially things with handles. Realizing at the pace they were going, it would take 4 hours to get out of my apartment, I started to help move my own stuff into the hallway to get my stuff closer to their truck. I should not have had to do that. The guy who didn't whine the entire move disassembled my bed with seemingly no problem, so I was glad about that. The guy who was whining kept making comments about lamps not being insured. These were not fancy lamps that I was remotely worried about. Multiple times he tried to get me to have me put stuff in my girlfriend's car instead of putting them in the truck. Apparently, the word fragile really flustered him, even though it was just bowls, a Dyson vacuum, a small animal statue, etc. I ended up packing more stuff in my girlfriend's car because the guy was making me nervous. Everything continued to get moved out pretty slowly until they picked up steam at the end. My favorite part was right before they were done, the guy who was whining asked me if I had any cold water. I was pretty shocked that people who know they're doing a multi-hour move don't bring their own water, but I nicely gave him half a large bottle of water that I had left in the fridge. The guy didn't even say thank you. My girlfriend ended up 20 minutes behind because a crane was blocking traffic. It was my fault for not telling her to leave earlier, but I knew I was obviously paying them no matter how long it took. We ended up 30-40 mins. behind them at the storage facility. There was no call from them to see where we were, so obviously they were fine waiting til we got there. I walk in and the whiny guy is giving me dirty looks and acted all annoyed. I was fed up with him acting how he was to me and asked him what his problem was and assured him that he was getting paid and not to worry. Getting the stuff from the truck into the storage unit was pretty slow again, and they did a horrible job fitting everything in. I used the same storage unit company for my last move. Other than one big piece of furniture, basically everything else in this storage unit was in the last one, which was smaller. They scratched my TV stand pretty badly, because that was one of several instances where one of them tried to pick up heavy furniture by themselves. One of them tried to pick up my 150 lb. credenza by himself, and I was sure he was going to drop it. Fortunately, he put it down and waited for the other guy like he should've done. The whiny guy started talking about money as soon as they got up to my unit, and wasted time calling in to figure out the estimated cost of the move rather than spending time moving my stuff. He started out ballparking the move as taking 6 hours, meaning another 3 hours at the storage unit facility. I'm like no, this should be 1-1.5 hours. He subtracts an hour and gets a quote for a 5 hour move, which again, it should not take. It took 1.5 hours. The whole move was 2 hours longer than Mambo took. Use them instead. read more

The company seemed professional at first. The 2 movers came on the later side of the time frame but was efficient and quick. The move into the apartment seemed fine until I realized they hadn't brought a small rug in from the truck. When the cable guy tried to install the 55" tv he noticed that the screen was shattered internally (no damage to outside) and inoperable. After calling the office I was told they were not responsible for the broken tv. No response from several emails sent. Disappointing. read more

Transparency is important! We were fooled! A little less than 2 weeks ago we used Superior Moving and Storage for a move. We submitted a request for a quote online and was then contacted by whom I believe was the owner the following day on 5/19/21. I took notes at the time of the conversation with the ranges he said our move may run us, which was less than we had anticipated so of course we were excited. The initial email I received with the quote was $100 per hour, $44 per hour for packing service and a travel time of 1 hr 15 minute. We had decided to change the date we initially requested, which prompted the second email on 5/24/21. We were quoted in that email $139 per hour including the packing and a travel time of 1 hr 15 minutes. Quick math... if the move and packing takes 5-6 hours (with the travel time) then pricing should range somewhere between $695-$834. Fast forward to a little over one month before the move in July, we found out that the place we were moving to was not going to be ready by our move in date. We contacted Superior to see about changing our move date. We called twice over the course of a week and spoke to a woman both times, gave our information and was told that one of the schedulers would call back, we never received a call back. The following week we called again and was told one of the schedulers would call back. Again, no call back. The next week we were to speak to someone and they didn't have any available dates for us to change our move, so we kept it the same. Move day: the movers arrive on time with a moving list much less than the information we provided online and we were quoted about $1,000 for the move. So we cancelled the packing to cut down on cost. I was contacted by the owner regarding the price, he advised me that right now the cost of the move was $864 without packing but he would take $4 off per hour and charge $809. The move started at 9:45am and was completed at 2:00pm. That's 4 hours 15 minutes including the travel time. I'm not the greatest at math but 4.15 times $139 is $590.75. Still not sure where the $809 came from. Our movers were fantastic and some of the kindest people we've worked with. Pookie and his team were fantastic. We appreciate their patience and expertise. I don't mind paying for the service, $800 is what I expected initially anyways. But management should be a little more transparent in the pricing. I would definitely use Pookie and his team again, but not the company. read more

This company was hired to pack and move for my mother. I helped pack up and organize. One man was continuously rude the entire time, to the point his coworkers told him several times to shut up. They were told to not move a cabinet. It held all of the things my mother wanted to move herself. The next thing we know, the cabinet was gone. At the same time, a random "friend" showed up in their own car. The cabinet reappeared, but all the family jewelry and silver is gone, all irreplaceable items. When we checked the complex cameras, one man on the crew (not the rude one, but the one who had told him to shut up repeatedly) had gone in the front where there was a camera, but reappeared from a different direction outside. Their mysterious "friend" left at this point. We called the company to tell them what happened, and was accused of lying or just misplacing it. I feel pretty stupid for ever letting the chest and items out of my sight, and I don't think my mother will ever forgive herself either. They charged a small fortune to add insult to injury. Updating my review for Part 2 / Move In -- returning our furniture to our new home after being in storage for several months. The Move In team included Zane and Hyim (who were part of our "Move Out team) plus Ty, John, and Josh. We lucked out again, as they were terrific -- worked so hard, were efficient and careful, and they put all of our belongings in the right spot. Plus, we moved into a three story townhome with roofdeck -- I was amazed by their strength and skill getting heavy furniture up all of the stairs without a scratch -- amazing! We aren't missing anything, and our furniture wasn't damaged. We did have a few little glass breakables, but that was on us for how we packed -- not on them for moving the boxes. The team that moved my mother from Harrisburg to Phoenixville was great. It was hot and not easy . Jack, Ty and Owen were professional and very hard working. I would recommend that team to anyone. The down side was the admin. I spoke to several people over the months leading up to the move. I specifically listed the furniture items, the fact the there was a walkway leading to the new apt and steps up to the door. The list that was given to the movers was inaccurate and understated. I admitted i was short on box count and extra misc but not the furniture. It was mentioned that this happens often and the team was probably short staffed for the job entailed. Then after we were already on the road , one of the admin guys called me and wondered what was going on with the move. I had no idea what he was talking about, and why are you calling out the customer? For that reason alone I would question an overall recommendation to my friends, unless the precise detailing of the prospective job is confirmed beforehand. The admin would get a 2 star review at best , Jack, Ty ,and Owen deserve 5 stars. I hope the moving team is rewarded and compensated as they should. read more
