I defrosted three chuck roasts just so I could see what was happening. I didn't allow the time for additional thawing. I had to throw it all out. The young man I dealt with was a nice guy, very knowledgeable and treated me with respect as a Black Man... and YES, that means a great deal. Because there are some butchers who DO NOT treat us with respect. Now before you get mad at me....I get it. You have to give it to get it, respect is earned. And R&R has earned my respect. They had a whole display of fresh ravioli, stuffed shells, and manicotti. The manicotti was sold out so it must be good. I decided on the asiago and garlic ravioli and the crab ravioli. Yum. They recommended that it be kept in the freezer until it needs to be cooked and then boil it for five minutes! This shop also sells various cuts of beef, chicken, and pork which all look pretty good. They also sell these weird chicken rings and many different flavors of chicken fingers and strips. All were breaded. Honestly, I'm kinda scared of the chicken rings.

I love making pozole but even that may be too much for me. Though technically hominy freezes well and I could recan it into smaller portions. So I may go back and nab some up. I see they also do prepare food but haven't gotten any of that myself. So not sure how to order that, but I never spend more than 15 minutes in the grocery. Some of their token products include Deli Meats, Goetta, Sausage, Metts, Hot Metts, Bratwurst, Hot Dogs, Sausage, and Cottage Ham. They stick to beef and pork products. My favorite items are their Goetta, and their smoked hot cheese sausage. The meats are quality and have great flavor! Prices are reasonable! As an added bonus these guys are very active on social media and one of my favorite things is their recipes. They frequently post new and creative ways to use their products, created by one of their staff members! I have personally tried some of these recipes and they are amazing! I hear this is also a great place to work... with many lunch time perks (no joke). Ham is nearly impossible to find, Lunchmeats are limited but can be found at a few Kroger s, Meijers, Remke Biggs, Metts Most anywhere in the area.
