Supperland has to be one of the best new restaurants in Charlotte. I'm in love with their family style dishes and amazing decor!!! Expect to wait around 2 hours during peak days and times. We were able to break our 2 hour wait up by exploring the neighborhood and grabbing a drink and apps in the bar. The main dining and the bar have different hours and some different menu items. For drinks we got the Summer Lovin' and I Like the Way You Groove. For apps we got the Baked Brie Bites, Sausage Gravy Croquets and Hot Onion Dip. For our dinner we got Wagyu Pot Roast, Miso Mac & Cheese, Mushroom Risotto, and Warm Corn Salad. While everything was delicious I would say my favorite item from the night had to be #1 Sausage Gravy Croquets and #2 Miso Mac & Cheese. Our server really hyped the Smashed Potatoes and the Prime Ribeye so I have to return for them. The ambiance and decor is phenomenal. I haven't seen a prettier interior or exterior of a restaurant. Ambiance and service were great, but food missed the mark for me. The trout almondine was a thin piece of fish without much flavor. The mushroom risotto had good flavor, but was not a true risotto. Delicious dinner at Supperland. We began at the bar, a separate building with an excellent cocktail program, and great snacks from the menu. Bryant was our craftsman behind the bar, offering up a good conversation and lovely libations. The hot onion dip with house made kettle chips was a great opener, we added miso poached lump crab to the dip because it was a Saturday. Moving into the dining hall, an old church with large windows and pews reminiscent of its beginnings, service was prompt, the wine selection was large. Appetizer highlights included the bread with cultured beet butter, the sausage gravy croquettes, and the seafood tower. This place has been on my list forever! Definitely snag a reservation in advance, it's a few $ for each person, but worth it. This is the perfect spot for "family style". Three of us ordered 2 apps, 3 sides and 1 entree. It was plenty of food and everything was delicious. The service was impeccable, the drinks are top notch and the ambiance tops it off! I was in town visiting my friend and we were able to get a Friday night reservation at Supperland. I was not sure what to expect from a "Southern Steakhouse" but I was pleasantly surprised! We each got a cocktail (I can't remember the names of them) but they were delicious. Mine even had edible glitter in it, which was a cute touch. The food is meant to be eaten family style (or all for yourself, no judgement here lol) but my friend and I split the filet, cooked medium and we split the miso Mac and the charred carrots. I believe all of the proteins and vegetables are cooked over a wood fire grill, which is built into their open concept kitchen. Everything was good to perfection! Talk about a concept . This place fits the bill in all aspects . With a name like Supperland I would expect nothing less than what they gave . First off I want to start by letting you guy's know this establishment was once a church now turned restaurant. The chandelier light fixtures inside are beautiful . It was definitely a lot of attention to detail action going on. For example I noticed things like the silverware being stored in a utensil box and that's where our server was pulling everything from. Also I couldn't help but notice the restored church benches for seating in certain parts of the restaurant. Also their is a wine room that can be rented out for $1,000 a night located downstairs . A plus for me for noticing the small but big things . Our server started off by breaking the menu down section by section and highly recommended dishes & cocktails which we appreciated . When I seen Branzino on the menu I just had to have it for it's one of my favorite fish to indulge in almost everywhere I go .For a side I chose the blackened onions which paired quite well with the branzino . My friend opted for the steak & macaroni & cheese . My guest boasted & bragged so much on the steak & Mac & cheese I had to try that as well for myself . As expected, Supperland is a dream. The cocktails are phenomenal. The service is superb. The atmosphere (both inside and on the patio) is right on point. And, of course, the food is a step above the rest. I would definitely call this a special occasion place based on the price points, but it's totally worth the money. We tried a large array of items from the wagu beef stew to the spatchcocked whole fish, and tons of sides and appetizers. We liked every single thing we tried (which is impressive considering the quantity and variety of dishes we tried.) We also ended up taking some of their home made cookies to go. Oh my goodness... I dream about these cookies. I'm not even a huge sweets person, but there was something about these cookies that kept me coming back for more (and not just the fact that they were HUGE.) All in all I would say this is a lovely new addition to the neighborhood and I hope they continue to do well, because we want to keep coming back whenever we have something to celebrate! read more

This restaurant is in my top rotation because they cook everything in their wood fired grill, which gives their stuff an awesome smoky taste! To dive deeper into it, they make vegetables taste delicious, their limited frills elevated southern cooking is superb, their cocktail program is unmatched, and their wine list is outstanding. I always have a great experience here. The service is wonderful too! As I said, cocktail program is superb. Colleen Hughes does the cocktail program for their restaurant group and she smashes it out of the park. I always branch out and try new things because of the adventures they take creating unique cocktails! Appetizers I would order to share with your table are the Hot Onion Dip with house made chips, Roasted Oysters (really cool presentation), and Sausage Gravy Croquettes. Food-wise, I absolutely recommend the Pork Can Can (crispy bone-in pork belly loin paired with a cherry sauce) as well as the Wagyu Pot Roast (so tender and flavorful). Sides: you must go with the Miso Mac n Cheese. And even though the Ambrosia is a side, I'd consider ordering it for a dessert -- it's so nostalgic to when I was growing up. Other desserts: they have talented pasty chefs who create fun seasonal creations. I love the Chocolate Peanut Butter Sundae they keep ok the menu, but their seasonal rotations are worth trying! One of my favorite places to eat out in CLT (but reserve for special occasions because it is $$$). The food is unique, but familiar enough that it doesn't feel out of reach for most palates. Absolutely delicious, and although not cheap, it is actually very good price because it is family style! I would definitely go back. We went for our anniversary and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The place was very crowded but has an open atmosphere so it does not feel crowded. There has been so much hype around Supperland, I wonder if I walked in with too high of expectations. The ambience is beautiful, the sides were delicious, but ultimately, we were disappointed with the actual entrées themselves. For this price point, the entrées didn't feel like they were anything unique or special, and even though the dishes came out as they were ready, some of them were not hot, in the sense that they were just prepared. Honestly, I have heard so much about Supperland that I was hoping to give a great review. But what a disappointment. Four of us came here for Saturday brunch. The restaurant was half empty, so not busy. PROS: The ambience and repurposing of the church were beautiful. CONS: Parking was crazy. Assumed a church would have a parking lot. The food was lackluster. Not one item was memorable..except the brussel sprouts..which I can make at home. They "circulated" with oysters, one shrimp cocktail and cinnamon rolls. In the entire 1 1/2 hours we were there, they "circulated" to our table once. The cinnamon rolls were overcooked, dry and not worth eating. Pillsbury canned rolls would have been better. The main foods were uninspired, and boring. Not one item made me say, "wow!" The service was not great. My daughter in law had to clear her own plate by taking it up to the coffee station. We waited 10 minutes to get our "coffee bill"..which should be included in the price. We finally got the bill by walking up to someone and asking for it. Our waiter was nowhere to be found. Over $80 pp for this brunch..DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT. It was more like a $40- $50 brunch at best. No wonder they make you pay in advance. Nearly $340 for 4 people for average everything. The cocktail menu had a lot of delicious options at expected prices ($12-$16 per). I had some sort of vegan egg white topped cocktail and it was incredible. We came here recently to celebrate our 11 years anniversary and had a phenomenal time. Staff were very nice and accommodating. We had a reservation, so no issues. We actually began the night over at their bar and had appetizers while we wait for our dinner reservation. The appetizers menu is the same, so it's actually great that we were able to do that and have a few drinks before dinner. The sausage and gravy croquettes were yummy and oysters were fresh and sweet. The restaurant is very nice inside, not as formal as you may think. Everyone was having a great time and the atmosphere was very chill. The wood fire oven in their open kitchen is gorgeous. We had the rib-eye and Wagyu NY strip, with Mac and cheese and bone marrow broccoli. Plus champagne and more drinks. The cook was perfect on the steaks. Medium rare and smoky charred crust. Mac and cheese was very creamy and broccoli was good as well. I honestly didn't taste bone marrow. To me it was just broccoli, nicely seasoned though. Do get the red velvet cake, has a coffee flavor to it and not too sweet. Very well balanced and delicious. They gave us macarons for our anniversary, very cute. The bartenders are so sweet and love to start up a great convo with you, making you feel right at home. They really take their time with the drinks and will personalize them for you if you ask. The lay out and atmosphere outside is fantastic....shaded with an enjoyable setting. The beer menu was a on the light side for IPA options, but we found one we liked (Stone Delicious at $6). We started with the Hot Onion Dip ($9) and it was a good option to share. The birthday boy and his buddy each got the Prime Filet ($56) and loved it! So when I sat there with my friend from AZ catching. Up they started to come over multiple times as if they were rushing us. I wouldn't recommend a martini- they are small and don't come in a traditional martini glass. We ate inside at supperland.
