I randomly found this spot here on Yelp when I was looking for a place to pick up food in between Lakewood and Manhattan Beach. I ordered and I got there before my estimated pick-up time; my order was not ready yet. I didn't realize that this spot is a little mom-and-pop with the cutest older Korean couple working behind the counter- they make your food fresh to order. When my food was ready the woman profusely apologized for me waiting (which was no big deal!) but still gave some little breakfast sandwich things on the house- she was so sweet! On to the food- their chicken is SO GOOD and such high quality. You can really taste the difference! I also got a sandwich which was delicious, and the kimchi fried rice- so let me tell you, it's already the day after and I still have leftovers in my fridge. The portion sizes are BIG- I was expecting little nuggets, but the 8-piece boneless chicken are large, juicy pieces of chicken! My 3-year old loved it. I told my brother all about it (he's closer in proximity than I am) and we finally got a chance to chow down and compare notes. We ordered the sweet and spicy chicken and honey garlic option, pancake/hotteok, goguma latte (with oat milk!! So glad they're carrying milk alternative now) and the free kimchi. Like before THIS CHICKEN IS LEGITTTTT like top three chicken dishes I've ever had and probably the best chicken wings I've ever had, no cap or whatever the young kids say lol. From the menu, I knew I wanted to eat chibap, and I thought about which one to eat, and I ended up eating garlic chibap. I was really surprised when I came home and dug in! When you order garlic noodles with shrimp or steak at a restaurant, do you know that it comes out very bland and doesn't really taste like garlic? Garlic chibap won't have that problem. Their garlic chibap tastes really good. The bowl is placed on a bed with garlic rice, cheese, and chicken. Then, if I take a bite of the chicken, it was one of the softest and softest chicken I've ever had!!! I promised to go back to make sure the chicken is always soft. If so, I said I would rate my top five chicken plates. But for this one experience, they get five stars. I'm sure I'm going back to try another chibap. I've been to Sup's quite a few times and have brought the food to work. My coworker emailed me yesterday asking if I could bring her some soy honey wings because she loves them so much and decided to try a grilled chicken sandwich because I haven't tried it yet. The Korean lady who owns the shop even gave me a complimentary self-care package (lip mask&nail therapy) be ready to wait at least 15-20 min or order ahead! Everything was delicious. If you're trying to get your protein in , then definitely order one of the rice plates. We enjoyed the sandwich and wings the most. We drove by here a few times and were intrigued by the menu. We stopped by for lunch and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious - We got a grilled chicken sandwich, morning toast sandwich, cole slaw, fries, the signature chicken sandwich, goguma (Korean sweet potato) latte, and a hotteok (korean pancake with delicous filling inside). This also was a hefty sandwich, and we only finished half for lunch as well. The value is awesome haha! I also tried the coleslaw side, and the texture/amount/flavor was scrumptious! The garlic fries were also seasoned well and not too salty. It was hard to find the restaurant because it was in the back corner of a business complex. It's very easy to miss, but there's plenty of parking at least. Me and 2 friends ordered from the kiosk and waited about 15m for 3 sandwiches and fries. Inside it's quite small with only a table and bar with 4 seats each. I got the Signature Sandwich with LVL 2 sauce. The sandwich was massive, and the chicken was so thick, incredibly juicy, and perfectly cooked. The breading and cabbage were crunchy too. The mayo was a creamy complement to the chicken without being overpowering. The spicy sauce was served on the side, and it was so deliviously flavorful and not only spicy. My only complaint here is that I wish there was more spicy sauce and that it was spread inside the sandwich, because I kept forgetting to drizzle sauce on between bites and still ran out. The salt and vinegar fries tasted exactly like the Lay's flavor but with more potato from the fries, of course. Honestly the fries were nothing special but they gave so much that the box was overflowing. I tried my friend's Kimchi Egg Sandwich too. The ham was pretty forgettable or missable, but the egg was delicious. The egg was incredibly moist, sweet, and delicately salty, and it paired well with the mild acidity of the kimchi. We chatted with the owner a bit when we picked up our food and she was very sweet and kind. She made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Can't believe I ran into this mom and pop gem in Gardena! It is the cutest store with red and white interiors and the service is amazing! They have the juciest and most tender chicken menu items including Chicken Sandwiches (Signature Sup's Chicken Sandwich and Grilled Chicken Sandwich) and also Korean style Fried chicken with multiple flavors. Since I found them, I have already gone about 10 times..and I am guilty that I am just writing this review. I've tried most of their menu items, so here are my ratings for each of them - Sup's Signature Chicken Sandwich (hot): 9/10 without the side sauce and 10/10 with the side sauce. I love my food spicy so the Sup's Signature sauce won my heart over. The sandwich itself is pretty simple but packed with flavor from the fried chicken and cole slaw, and I love that the bread is on the softer side! It was good even when microwaved. Sup's Grilled Chicken Sandwich: 8/10 I love the balance of Grilled Chicken and veggies in this sandwich, especially because I love myself some arugula and tomato combo. This one is not spicy compared to the Sup's Signature so I don't get it as often, but I crave it from time to time. Original Drumsticks: 100/10 I LOVE THEIR DRUMSTICKS. It is fried to perfection and super juicy. They use really big drumsticks so I love that there is a mouthful of chicken in one bite. It is seasoned so well that you don't need any sauces with it. Sweet & Spicy Wings: 10/10 I think Korean fried chicken is elite, but Sup's has a really good yangnyeom! For me it wasn't spicy at all, but my friend thought it had a kick to it. Nonetheless, it is super enjoyable and I also like it boneless as well. Soy Honey Boneless: 20/10 Soy Honey is the best flavor here. I think it is better than any franchise Korean chicken place. The perfect balance of sweet and salty. Salt & Vinegar Fries: 9/10 I always get a side of their salt and vinegar fries because it just hits the spot. For first timers of salt and vinegar flavors, you might be surprised by the flavor, but it is one of those things that you keep thinking about. Morning Toast: 10000/10 My absolute favorite thing on their menu. I pick it up before I wfh sometimes and eat it, and it's so delicious. Everything about this menu is perfect, from the soft scrambled eggs to the ham and cheese and the buttery toasted bread, it is such a filling breakfast. Kimchi Chibap: 9/10 It is not your typical Chibap - if you have had them at other places because it is not drenched in sauce, but it's more like a Kimchi Fried Rice with Grilled Chicken. The portion size is crazy that I could eat it for atleast 2 meals. Garlic Chibap: 9/10 Again, the portion size for the Chibap is crazy. When they say Garlic, they mean GARLIC. The garlic flavor is so aromatic and the flavors match so well with the chicken topping. While they are a mostly to-go restaurant, they do have a little space for people to eat inside, and best of all they have so much parking space!
