For main courses, I ordered the seared scallops and added prawns to the dish as well as a side of their chowder. So good. Melt in your mouth scallops. The chowder was some of the best I've had. My wife ordered pasta Alfredo with shrimp. She said it was amazing as well. And my daughter ordered the Boullabaisse. I've never heard of it but it's a seafood bowl that is delicious and has many seafoods inside.. almost like a soup. She loved it. Dessert was a chocolate torte and a cheesecake slice. Again, amazing. The place is a little tucked away, but it's absolutely worth finding. I ordered the halibut, and it was fantastic--perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of flavor. My mother-in-law had the cod, which was really good too, but after trying both, the halibut was the clear winner. The fries were great, but the biggest surprise was the coleslaw. The espresso was incredibly smooth, rich, and flavorful. It was so good that as soon as I finished it, I ordered another one. The space is fairly small, so seating is limited, but the quality of the coffee more than makes up for it. The atmosphere has an industrial-modern, no-frills feel. Rusty Cup Cafe is clearly a business that is focused on making exceptional coffee--and it absolutely shows. I will definitely stop here again the next time I'm in Astoria!

Absolutely delicious! Helped elevate a meal the next day too. I may have to return to indulge in one of their Italian sandwiches. Update: we did return to dine onsite at the same window counter seats (6/22/25). The Homie had the Hot Meatball ($14). Meaty with zesty sauce.
