Power Start (breakie) with French fries
    Lisa C.

I was today years old when I discovered this diner on the island. I've been a patron of another diner on the island for years that I enjoy very much. This particular diner offers a wider variety of options to include many healthy choices. Although, it doesn't possess the same old school charm as the other diner I make reference to. The diner was very busy when we arrived with limited table options so we opted for seats at the center bar. This proved to be a great choice as our service was superb. Mateo was our server. My friend ordered a hot dog and French fries with a Coke. I ordered the Power Start with an iced tea. Typically, I enjoy a half cut tea but they only offer unsweetened iced tea. However, they were able to provide me with simple syrup on the side to sweeten my tea which is perfect because mixing sugar in iced tea is an absolute fail. The Power Start consisted of scrambled egg whites with chicken breast, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese. Essentially, it's a scrambled omelette. This was paired with multigrain toast and the patron's choice of an arugula salad or home fries. I paid an up charge for French fries. The portion was generous and provided me with leftovers. I enjoyed my initial experience at Surfside Diner very much and will definitely return. I'm a huge fan of breakie and love that they offer breakfast all day.

Yes, they do have diners in Palm Beach. I felt right at home. The oatmeal was nice and hot. They have it through out the week. Two thumbs up here. The portion size was plenty. I added blueberries to top off the oatmeal. It has a warm cozy atmosphere with a glass front so plenty of light. What a way to treat myself on a visit to Palm Beach

Great diner. I walked in on a Saturday morning and was immediately seated. The service was quick and the food was great. The prices are extremely reasonable. The Chicken Quesadilla was very large and delicious.

In the middle of Palm beach on a corner sits a diner that is both quaint and flavorful and will transport you back to what a beach diner is all about. Good Prices, great atmosphere and good people. The food choices reminds us all why we like a diner and what they have to offer.. Coffee, eggs Benedict and side of potatoes and ready for the day. The waitresses were so nice and accommodating. Don't miss this place, worth a stop for Bkfst, lunch or whenever. Good food. Good people and at the beach where else...

Greeted as I walked through the door and seated immediately. Not many visitors this morning but it is supposed to rain all day in the sunshine State, not exactly beach weather. The place is retro model and plays great music from the golden era....70s and 80s. Table, booth and bar seats are available. Order was taken immediately and the the food was out in under 10 minutes!! Waitress was very friendly and pleasant. Place was very clean and the food was delicious. Only thing preventing a 5-star is you pay for everything. Omelet ingredients to substitute muffin for toast. But they do have Heinz ketchup! Overall good experience and would certainly visit again if in the area. Chances are slim because if you are not a beach person or golfer, why visit WPB? Haha.

Mid. Definitely not all it's cracked up to be in reviews and how busy it is! Pros- - very cute bright atmosphere with vintage diner ambiance with breakfast bar stools and booths - looks very clean - food can be decent depending what you order Cons - - I paid $10 for this "bowl" of soup in a cup that wasn't even filled up. Prices are ridiculous and they can get away with it because it's palm beach. - I ordered a side salad and she wouldn't let me pick a dressing, I had to get the balsamic it comes with - service is SO slow, waited at the bar forever before being asked beverages, then again waited forever for food, then no one came to see how everything was or if we needed anything -- mind you we're at the bar so they could have literally taken 3 seconds to turn around and ask Probably wouldn't come here again but the ambiance is nice and relaxing even tho it's busy so they get an extra star for that

We dined in on a busy Sunday afternoon for a brunch for party of 10 plus a child. The place was nice and staff was welcoming. Wait time was about 10 mins before we were seated. Food was served in 20 mins fresh made. We had omelette, French toast, pancakes and egg Benedict. The great service, nice ambience and plenty to choose from menu makes it a five star in my list of breakfast options in Palm beach area.

An absolute must if you're in Palm Beach! Yes an affordable diner on the Island! Delicious food, great service and comfortable friendly ambiance! Today I went in for their famous Coconut Cake to take home! Quick friendly service! Spotless and bright interior! The Coconut Cake did not disappoint! Light and fluffy and not too sweet! The cake is moist and delicious! I love coconut cake and this is definitely one of the best!!

I picked Batch while walking by because it had the cutest vibe but we weren't expecting much. We were greeted by Rachel, the manager, at the host stand. She didn't just lead us to our table, she walked with us. She asked us if we were from the area and what brought us in. It was all small talk but felt genuine. She waited until we were seated to hand us or menus and it didn't feel rushed. Gabby, our server, showed confidence and love for the place when she introduced herself. They make everything from scratch here and Gabby sold us on the eggrolls and mac and cheese to start. However, before those could arrive, Rachel came by with an order of biscuits for us. These were absolutely to die for and the gesture was very kind. The eggrolls, bbq sauce, and ranch were the highlight of our food adventure here. You could tell this was all freshly made. We both ordered burgers and those were very good, hearty, and not greasy. Their house sauce B1 added a perfect element of smokiness to the burger. Gabby's service ensured we always had refills, never had to ask for anything, and the table was always clean. Rachel stopped by and checked on us and also gave us cute glasses to take home with us and coupons to come back for happy hour for some "off menu snacking". So if you're asking if Batch does things differently, they absolutely do. We can't wait to bring our friends next time. Ask for Rachel and Gabby and don't sleep on the eggrolls!

It's beautifully decorated and truly Instagram-worthy. Every detail feels thoughtfully designed, making it a great spot for a special outing or even just to enjoy the ambiance. Our waiter was also excellent, attentive and efficient, he also made sure everything flowed smoothly throughout our meal. That said, there were a few downsides. Upon arrival, valet service was disappointing. Several employees were standing around talking while only one person was actively working, which caused unnecessary delays. Both the car in front of us and our own were left waiting longer than expected. Food-wise, while everything was good, my meal arrived warm rather than hot, which took away from the experience a bit. Also, our food did not arrive at the same time. For a restaurant at this level, I expected better attention to that detail. Dessert was also a bit underwhelming visually as I was expecting something more polished and presentable to match the overall aesthetic of the restaurant. Overall, RH delivers on atmosphere and service at the table, but tightening up the valet experience and food presentation/temperature would really elevate it to the next level.

"What the hell is Australian food anyway?"…read more That question is splashed around Island & Co., and after one visit, my answer is: apparently, it's really good food served by people who genuinely want you to have a great time. Located in a cool old warehouse district, Island & Co. has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay for "just one more drink" (which is easy to do given their extensive bar and creative cocktail menu). The vibe is energetic without being overwhelming, and the prices are refreshingly fair. We ordered the steak frites with a rich, silky béarnaise sauce that deserved its own fan club. We also tried the Aussie Chicken Parma--a Parmesan herb-crumbed chicken topped with pomodoro sauce. If this is truly the best-selling meal at every jingle pub in Australia, I understand why. Comfort food perfection. What stood out most was the attention to detail. The food was thoughtfully prepared, the drinks were imaginative, and the service struck that perfect balance between professional and genuinely friendly. You can tell the team cares about the entire experience, not just getting plates to the table. So, what the hell is Australian food anyway? If Island & Co. is the answer, sign me up. Like, "why am I craving lettuce and sprouts?" good. And someone in our group ordered the duck and wouldn't stop talking about it--called it "out of this world," which feels dramatic but also...accurate. Now let's talk about lunch. The club sandwich. I wish I were being chill about this, but I'm not. It's like $40, which is mildly offensive until you take one bite and suddenly you're like, "okay fine, take my money." I genuinely haven't stopped thinking about it. Bonus: the crowd is great, and if you're into a little Bravo spotting, this place apparently doubles as a low-key reality TV habitat. Absolute Disaster - Do NOT Waste Your Time or Money…read more We had a confirmed reservation for 8:00 PM at what was supposed to be a nice upscale spot. Instead, we walked into a complete circus run by amateurs. The hostess--young, clearly inexperienced, and visibly overwhelmed--had zero control of the situation. She was bouncing around like a deer in headlights, mumbling apologies while doing nothing to actually fix the chaos. Multiple parties were standing around fuming because their reservation times came and went with no tables ready. Ours included. They told us to "wait at the bar." Great idea--except the bar was so packed you literally couldn't get within ten feet of it. No room to stand, no chance to order a drink, no staff paying attention. We stood there like idiots for nearly an hour while the restaurant somehow managed to be both overbooked and disorganized at the same time. Turns out they had some kind of event going on simultaneously in the main dining area, which explained why regular reservations were being treated like an afterthought. If you're going to double-book your space and turn it into a private-party nightmare, at least have the decency to warn people when they make a reservation--or better yet, don't take reservations at all if you can't honor them. After almost an hour of standing in a sardine-can crowd, listening to everyone else complain, watching staff shrug helplessly, and realizing we weren't getting any closer to actually eating, we finally gave up and left. We walked to another restaurant nearby, were seated immediately, and had a perfectly pleasant dinner. This place is a textbook example of how to ruin what should be a nice evening out. Incompetent front-of-house management, blatant overbooking, zero communication, and a complete disregard for customers who actually made reservations in advance. If you value your time, your money, and your blood pressure, steer clear. I will never set foot in this establishment again, and I'm warning everyone I know to do the same. Zero stars if I could give it. Avoid at all costs.

Manny, thank you for the kindness and safe service you have given us. You are usually the first person who takes care of the Buccan Family. You create the smile before we walk in the doors of Buccan or Imoto. Thank you. Solang' (my spelling is probably wrong and I apologize): You are such a beautiful soul. Thank you for your kind words to Laura as we left. Kindness makes a difference. While kindness is free, sincerity is priceless. Wow, I haven't even chatted about the food. I don't care if you are watching what you eat. Close your eyes! The chocolate cookies (warmed) are a must. Period. Selfishly, I hope Chef Clay never gets a tv show. A book deal is allowed.
