I ordered the eggs benedict with sweet potato fries. There was a strong cheesy taste in my eggs benedict that I wasn't a big fan of but I used a bunch of hot sauce to mask the taste. We arrived at Peacock Pansy on a Saturday afternoon. Brunch in the city can be tough with wait times, so I appreciated how easy it was to make a reservation. When we arrived, we loved the aesthetics. Super cute spot, lots of groups and some bachelorette groups were here. They have tables for pairs and larger groups. If you have a dog, they're also dog-friendly! The service was nice and attentive; our food came out relatively quickly. I'm a fan of savory, so I was intrigued by their Okonomiyaki Omelet. I got it without cheese. I will say I wish there were more flavor to it, as it tasted primarily of egg. The potatoes were crispy. I'd say if you like okonomiyaki, it's worth a try, but I'd probably get something else if I were to come back. My friends seemed to enjoy their dishes too. Portions and prices are comparable to other brunch spots. If you're into aesthetics and a fusion brunch, Peacock Pansy is a nice option. My friend and I came here for brunch today on a Sunday around 12:30pm with a reservation. I made this because it's brunch and the bay was having a lot of events going on aside from the usual tourist traffic in SF and I didn't want to wait long to be seated. Another person was waiting before me to check in for her reservation too. Who I saw seemed like maybe the owner or manager was walking around except in our direction. The gentleman who I think was the owner or manager came by to take our order. We did see a tiramisu French toast item on the board outside but they actually don't offer it anymore, bummer. What we ordered Food: UBE FRENCH TOAST - I recommend getting the ube sauce on the side. The bread absorbs the sauce quickly so if you don't eat it right away the bread is very soggy. CHORIZO SCRAMBLE- really good. I could tell the chorizo was high quality. I enjoyed this with wheat sourdough instead of tortillas and I loved the potatoes. My boyfriend and I decided to check out Peacock Pansy for brunch this weekend after hearing so much about it. This place is always busy, and after visiting twice now, I can definitely see why. The menu has a really fun mix of Asian-inspired flavors and classic brunch dishes that make it stand out from your typical brunch spot. We joined the waitlist and were around fifth in line, but still ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a seat. Since things were so packed, we opted to sit at the bar, which worked out fine. That said, the food more than made up for it. I ordered the curry chicken croffle, while my boyfriend got the regular chicken croffle. Both were delicious, with a great balance of sweet and savory flavors. The combination of crispy fried chicken, the sweetness of the croffle, and the fruit worked really well together. One thing to keep in mind is the noise level. This isn't the place I'd choose for a relaxed catch-up with friends. Lovely Thai brunch spot in Hayes Valley. Went on a Saturday morning with a friend - made reservations about a week in advance but it wasn't terribly busy when getting there. The vibes are very cute and give off that instagram feel. If it's a nice day out, it would be fun to get dolled up and take pictures in the interior. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, oozing liquid gold. And, the accompanying crispy potatoes were shatteringly crunchy with a soft interior. The rest of the dish fell short. The moo sawan is their take on millionaire's bacon. It was sweet and one note, missing the aromatic spices (garlic, coriander, white/back pepper, etc) and the hollandaise + pickled onions had no spice or tang to bring everything together. For a drink, I thought I had ordered a Thai tea latte, but I'm convinced it was actually an iced Thai tea ($7) because of how sweet it was. It was a good, standard Thai iced tea if that was the case. My friend and I tried the fried chicken and croffle ($25), which was delicious. I loved the bulgogi sauce and honey on the fried chicken, but it did feel separate from the croffle which had a sunny side egg on top. I wish it had been a bit more of a cohesive dish. The Cajun shrimp and cauliflower puree ($27) was pretty cheesy and had really good sausage in it, but I feel like it was lacking flavor because cauliflower is blander. What a great find! Another spot I had bookmarked in SF for when we got the chance, and RB's extended birthday weekend was that chance. We came in on a late Monday morning, and happily the place was open - many places aren't on Mondays. I was thrilled to find out that they have a vegan menu, in addition to their non-vegan offerings. I am not vegan, but endeavor to eat largely plant-based for ethical reasons, and have major respect for restaurants that offer entrees free of animal products, instead of just a side salad or what have you. I selected the Vegan Delight Wrap, which is a breakfast burrito with a tofu & chickpea scramble, vegetables, and avocado. Delicious!! I was very happy with my choice, it was flavorful and satiating. RB went with the very non-vegan Triple Threat Burrito, and also enjoyed it. Service was excellent, friendly and hospitable. We ended up being the last guests there, but were not rushed at all. We had made a reservation but like many others commented, Peacock Pansy isn't really managing them appropriately. Looking over the menu, the Asian flair was evident and I loved it! But! Those prices....some of it is on the high side. Yes, it's Hayes Valley but entrees in the $30s? It's a bit much. We tried to stay on the cheaper side. I went with the curry chicken croffle at $23 and it was SOLID. Easily the best dish at the table! Everyone was taking swipes of the curry for their own dishes. The regular croffle and chicken was also pretty good according to dad but he felt the chicken was overfried and dry. Mom had the truffle mushroom scramble and remarked that she really liked the baby shiitake but really could have done without the chunky button mushrooms. My brother went with the ube French toast but it was very coconut forward. Overall food was good, but not great. Would I come again? Maybe. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes for our table. At one point, the waiter asked us to go ask the previous party to leave, which was super unprofessional. They were done eating and had paid but were just hanging around. We watched multiple smaller walk-in groups get seated really quickly while we waited for our table . My friends also brought a birthday cake so we could cut it, and the servers forgot to bring it out at the end when they asked for dessert. The last time I went my friends and I got the pumpkin spice oat milk lattes as well as the salmon eggs Benedict, breakfast burrito, cheese omelet with mushrooms, and the vegan French toast. Everything was fresh and delicious but my absolute favorites were the vegan French toast and the salmon eggs Benedict! The vegan French toast is spongy with hints of coconut and the banana maple bourbon sauce is chef's kiss. I got the pumpkin pie latte and it didn't taste too strongly of anything besides the espresso. I only ate the fried chicken and croffle as well as the ube french toast. Peacock Pansy is a special place to unwind right behind City Hall in the vibrant corridor close to SF Jazz and the Symphony and Opera. The burrito was solid, though it definitely needed some kind of crunch--maybe a hash brown or crispy bacon--and I wish the tortilla had been grilled. The sweet potato fries were standard but great, and I really liked the salsa that came with it. I also ordered a pumpkin pie latte, which was so sweet but so delicious. Absolutely downed that thing. Definitely one of the better bottomless mimosa brunch spots in SF. I feel like spots that do bottomless mimosas super lack in the food department. Peacock Pansy doesn't! Joined the yelp waitlist ahead of time and got seated fairly quickly when coming on a Saturday. The girlfriend and I had no plans to do bottomless but life happens and next thing you know you are drunk. I ordered the chilaquiles as well and for once finished my food while doing bottomless. Their version of an espresso martini was also yummy! The staff were super friendly and fun with us. Inside is super instagrammable. Parking is tough since it's Hayes Valley area but public transportation is super accessible. read more

I was drawn in by the fusion brunch options and got the tom yum crab omelette. absolutely delicious and there was a generous portion of crab meat. also a generous portion of sweet potato fries! Tom Yum sauce was super yummy as well though not very spicy to me. wish there was something like this in the South Bay T^T excellent service and gorgeous atmosphere made for a lovely brunch! read more

We had a reservation for 12:30 today for three and had to wait over 25 minutes until we were eventually seated. I read this is common in other reviews so definitely a point off for not being good about reservations. I got the tropical pancakes, confirmed they are vegan, and they also happen to be gluten free. Not only was this dish well plated, it tasted great too. It wasn't excessively sweet and the portion size was just right for me as the first meal of the day. I thought it looked small when it arrived, but I was full at the last few bites. I highly recommend, it was our favorite dish of the few we tried. My friends got mimosas and didn't love them. They said it wasn't fresh and tasted like minute maid orange juice was added. One friend ordered the vegan french toast and it was great. The texture was crunchy on the outside but super soft on the inside. The ambience is cute and was a fun brunch spot. I would come back again. read more

My friends and I decided to start our morning off with brunch as it was one of their birthday. We ordered a smoked salmon benedict, ube French toast, pancakes, and the croffles and berries. The salmon benedict came with a side of crispy potatoes which were amazing. Everything was delicious. The service was great and the staff were attentive. I made a 12:30pm reservation here for Sunday brunch with a friend. Despite that, we still had to wait ~20 minutes before getting seated...and this was after checking with the staff twice to see where we were on the waitlist. It seems like making a reservation didn't really mean anything here, and the staff just started seating whoever was waiting close by the front entrance because I noticed 3 other parties of two people were still ahead of me on the waitlist when I got seated. As for the food, my friend and I shared the tom yum crab omelette and the croffle & berries. Both items were delicious! The omelette had a surprising amount of crab, and the flavorful tom yum sauce paired perfectly with it. I also really enjoyed the chewy, crunchy texture of the croffle. Overall, despite enjoying the food here, I had to deduct a star due to the confusing "reservation" system and the slight lack of cleanliness (our plates had stains and random crumbs on them). read more
