Steve Rice was great, knew what the problem might be and told me to come back 2 days later so he could get Ford to provide a loaner car and covered everything with the warranty. Very slow service with little communication. BLUF: if I was told it would take a long time, I would have paid for a rental so I didn't have to live in the lobby for a while. Instead I kept being told it was just about done. First came here on a Friday with a flat tire asking if the tire could be replaced or if it needs a new tire. They said they would look at it and should have it fixed in the next hour or two. Two hours later I asked if they were done, they told me they were about to take a look at it. At this point I was running late for a meeting so I had to join virtually from the lobby. About 2 hours and 45 min, they told me they finally got to look at it and the tire can't be fixed. They told me they would order one and let me know when it comes in and they would call me back. Learned later the tire arrived Saturday, but no call. Called Monday morning, was forwarded to Julian, where I was on hold for 15 min until it finally went to voicemail. After about 40 min of no returned call I decided to head over. I figured I will get a rental for the day since I'm on the clock for work. Julian tells me the tire is in, they can have it on in an hour or so. An hour and a half later I ask for status, I'm told they are working on it. Maybe I was unaware of the unspoken rule changes in customer service: that if you say it will take 2 hours it really means you can wait longer than two hours before starting and no updates required when you exceed the given time. No call-backs necessary. If they had not held my wheel over the weekend (I didn't realize they didn't put it back in the trunk till I got home) I would have gone somewhere else as I was in a hurry. I won't be back until they can be more honest and open with their customers. 1 star for giving me back the car 2 stars because Julian was calm and respectful when we talked 3 stars for working AC and You lose a star because when y'all had an employee go to get whataburger for a couple others and you didn't ask me if I wanted anything. Surprise Ford absolutely lives up to its abysmal star rating here. I ordered a a truck from the factory exactly the way I wanted it and after at least 6 months, it showed up. When It did, I got fully approved for financing through the dealers finance department and then on Wednesday night, I text messaged a sales manager I had been communicating with and told him I was going to wait 90 days. It wasnt a big deal because of the truck i ordered would be able to easily sell. The next morning I had reached out to the sales manager at 11Am to let him know I was going to go forward with the purchase after all. I found out that the General Manager, Mr. Kayden immediately ordered the service department to add "The Surprise Ford Value Package" to the truck which consists of; (All prices are retail prices from their parts department) Wheel locks $85, peel and stick Door edge guards $44/kit, Tailgate lock kit $29, drop in plastic bedliner $400, Nitrogen air in the tires (free at costco) "Lifetime window tint" whatever that means, LoJack and the "Paint protection." Heres the rub... Lojack is BS because these trucks have a tracking device on them already, the paint protection is offered in the form of a paint warranty from the manufacturer and the total cost of the other misc crap is approx $1000 but they charge $4500 as a "Value Package." The Jacka$$ sales manager Romero Sepulveda that immediatley started yelling at me stating "This is MY STORE and this is how we are going to do business or you can leave" was the stereo typical slimebag car guy. I asked the GM Pezh Kayden if he could take the plasti bedliner out (that didnt even match the truck) NOT install the window tint, and I would pay retail for the other stuff and he said NO. Surprise Ford is a sister company of the scum bags at Peoria ford and ironically BOTH stores have the LOWEST star ratings of all other Ford stores in the valley. Coincidence? No as they are both managed and operated by the same slimebag Partner Pat Hickey. I made a appointment for a oil change online and told them I was going to wait. When I showed up at their Service entrance I had to wait 15 minutes for a service rep to tell me they are busy and it would be take hours to change my oil. I told him they should not have taken my appointment if they were too busy to service my car. The rep didn't care. I said I will bring my car somewhere else for service. Too bad. 2 transmissions within 3 months. Before my 2018 Expedition reached 60,000 miles we had an issue of the SUV not wanting to get out of 2 gear. We took it in, they had to give us a brand new transmission. During the month and a half process of them having my vehicle they never once called me and I had to continually reach out to them asking for an update. Fast forward ONLY 2 MONTHS I take my truck in to make sure everything was good for our family road trip. After paying $500 on service / labor we head on our family road trip. 2 hours in, a fault goes off on our truck. Looking up the code on my Ford app it was the powertrain. We immediately contacted the service advisor we had worked with who advised we continue with the trip and bring the truck in when we returned home. When we returned with the truck after having it for about 2 weeks Ford finally told us it was the transmission again and the ONLY fix would be to get a NEW one. Keep in mind my truck is still under 60k miles and I had just received a new transmission 2 months prior. The service advisor had suggested that my husband and I invest into a NEW vehicle because he could not "in good faith give us our vehicle back and know that the issue was resolved." He ensured us that his superiors were aware of our vehicle issue and would be willing to work with us given the circumstances. However when we got there they simply sat us down with a salesman who's idea of remedying the situation was to talk us into another car loan for $80,000. The frustration is we have practice good maintenance on our vehicle. The issue with the transmission has nothing to do with owner use. Ford sold a product that is now breaking down, their own service advisor told me to get a new car because he's not confident in the repairs and because of that I'm suppose to pick up the tab. Makes no sense. BTW we still don't have our car back. I don't understand how this is taking care of the customer. read more

I was looking for an F-150 and they had one in stock that matched most of my wants. From the beginning of the negations, they would continually ask when I would be coming in regardless if we had an agreed price. Since I was coming from out of state, I told them as soon as we agree to a price, I will purchase a ticket and be there the next day. We agreed upon a price and I purchased the ticket to land in Pheonix by 10 am the next morning. I made sure to confirm the truck and paperwork would be ready as I didnt want to sit in a dealership knowing I had a 6 hour drive home. I was assured the truck would be ready to drive home as soon as I signed the paperwork. When I arrived to the dealer, the truck was on its way back from getting the bedliner installed. One of the sales managers, Nick Van Horne informed the truck also had a flat so they would need to replace the tire. I had no issue with that as I understand things happen. The salesman and I sat in the showroom for over an hour while the dealer tried to procure a new tire. Around 12:oo pm, we were sitting in the showroom, I saw the truck pull up in the service bay and I asked to go look at it. While walking around it I noticed one of the rims had some curb rash, as the wheel were black, it was easy to see. Salesman informed Nick and Nick apologized to me. He said he could have it fixed but would take an extra hour or so. I was still very understanding and said no problem. Nick appreciated I wasnt making a big deal about all this and said "you wouldnt believe how upset people get for these items. Because you are so understanding, I will send you a $300 check as a token of our appreciation". I thanked him and the salesman and I went back to sitting in the showroom. Another 4+ hours go by and FINALLY the truck is ready to be driven home. I drove the truck home, without issue. About 70 days, I called the dealer to inquire about my $300 check and plates as I never received them. The front desk informed me the salesman no longer works there but would send me to another one. When I talked to the new salesman, they could see all these notes in their system and went to talk to the manager. The salesman said "I've talked to Nick and they are going to get back to you". To this day, I have heard nothing! On a side note, as I waited outside, I often heard tire screeching and was told the General Manager like to do burnouts in the trade-ins. They received a Raptor trade-in that morning and was being "tested". read more

Tried to buy a used vehicle and this was my experience: 1) Pricing is not transparent - the vehicle I was interested in was advertised at $18,500 and there were over $3,000 worth of dealer adds that were not negotiable. So the price was actually $21,000 2) Inexperienced sales people - I was trying to negotiate on OTD pricing and the sales person didn't communicate this very well to the sales manager. The error in the agreed price wasn't caught until I got to finance. 3) Shady Finance - I was rushed through the paperwork which was electronic and the finance guy did not allow me to read what he wanted me to sign. He skipped all the detail pricing and just wanted me to sign the documentation. I stopped him, looked at the details and found the error. 4) Condecending and rude Sales Management - After I alerted the finance guy to the error, the sales manager came in and felt that it was more important to prove that he was right rather than resolve the issue. STAY AWAY!! My husband and I both bought vehicles from this dealership August 2020. They added extended warranty's and GAP coverage to our vehicles. When we brought it to their attention they removed it and did are paperwork over. Turned out the Finance Guy and Sales person were running a scam to improve their numbers $$. Both were fired. NOW, they are refusing to fix an issue with my vehicle that they promised to fix before I would buy this SUV. There were 3 issues. I give a 5 star review for a few reasons. My husband and I are VERY specific and DEMANDING on what we want. We don't budge because these purchases were a want not a need and it took is 3 YEARS to get these cars. Now, George Lopez was the most knowledgeable, understanding, patient, calm and UPFRONT sales person we have dealt with.(Again we have have been doing this for 3 years) Finance, didn't truly get our thought process, was a bit difficult, however at the end we were taken care of. Given inflation, we had a great finance rate. We were taken care of by Nick on the oil changes for a year. We got accessories for the TWO CARS WE BOUGHT AT ONCE. Jennifer, extremely helpful. I bought my car, a 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT, from here, and I'm happy with the car. I did not enjoy the purchase process, but that was for many of the reasons nobody likes car dealerships: pressure to buy add-ons you don't want, pressure to buy a service plan you don't need. My problem though is with their service department. I recently needed service for the first time. I suspected that nothing was actually wrong (a 12V battery error that probably resulted from not being driven for a week), but out of an abundance of caution, I scheduled an appointment. They made me wait 8 days to come in. Fine. They're backed up, and it isn't an emergency. I waited the 8 days. When my day came, I brought it in and was told that since they only had two technicians for electric cars, it would take 5-7 days to diagnose. What had I waited 8 days for? Okay. Fine. I'll wait another 5-7 days and bring it back. No. They won't do that. They need me to just leave my car in their parking lot for 5-7 days. The clock doesn't start until I leave my car. This is unacceptable. It's reasonable to be backed up (though if you're that backed up, maybe you're understaffed), but it's also reasonable to let customers keep their cars until they're ready to be worked on. I suspect they just don't care about the electric vehicle business. Fine. Time to find a dealer who cares. Update (1/3/2023): I note the response from the dealer, but I'll also note that my review was already quite detailed. I don't believe a discussion will change my own experience. Besides, what does being backed up have to do with not being willing to schedule their availability better? And while I believe Surprise Ford should make changes if they wish to be perceived as caring about their customers, they have already burned their bridge with me. read more

They are great before the sale but once they get your money they don't care. Service is abysmal! First service: They "forgot" to order the needed part. They didn't follow up and we had to call multiple times to get the repair completed. Second service: Left dirty handprints all around the area they worked and they damaged the paint (chip) Third repair: We made the appointment telling them EXACTLY what was needed. We took the truck and dropped it off at night then they called us the next day telling us they can't fix it and we have to find somewhere else to take it. We looked at an Explorer XLT to see interior and the manager there and greeted us and Evan was the salesman great guy he is new, so manager was just checking up on him. No complaints about Evan. Manager somehow took over went over pricing over an Explorer ST in Peoria Ford. He kept waisting our time over pricing without even knowing if the car was available in Peoria. We kept asking can you get it because what's the point about getting excited over a car we can't see. He wasn't even sure he can get it. So I took it upon myself to call Peoria Ford and ask if the vehicle was available. Meanwhile Manager comes back tells us car is not available to anyone. Something is wrong with it and he is not able to bring it over but we can sign to get the ST coming in march. 20k difference and I wasn't interested in that color. We walk out saying we will think about it because Peoria ford has confirmed the vehicle is available and if I want to test drive it. I get it they don't want to say they can't get the car, but the dishonesty from the manager is disgusting. There is no honesty here at this dealership and there is no wonder why the low ratings. Bitter moment and I will not be recommending this dealership. We had already got a heads up that dealership is trash and they are not wrong. Do not take your vehicle here. I took my perfectly healthy F-350 in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. When I picked it up, the check engine light came on within 2 miles. I took the truck back (after they tried to argue the light was on before I brought it in) to be given a long list of items that could be wrong and required a $200 diagnostic fee. Told me it was a coincidence the check engine light came on the same day. Taking my truck elsewhere to find out what they messed up. read more

From getting new parts replaced, to getting told nothing is wrong when my spouse is driving with my one year old in the car and the car dies out on the road. Then having to pay a big price to get a part replaced to have that same part go out in a week. I've tried to do business with this dealership multiple times over the years, not really sure why I went back this time. Usually we just get ignored and this time was no different. We were car shopping a couple of weeks ago and noticed they had two used Escalades. So we tried one more time. We did get there late so I guess we were inconveniencing them. My wife had to go in and ask for a salesman and one finally came out. I guess he was new because it was an awkward exchange from start to finish, asking a lot of questions we hadn't been asked at any of the other places we stopped at all day. We test drove the vehicle and really liked it so we sat down to talk numbers. They hit us with some crazy numbers for our trade and after we showed them what we had been offered elsewhere he went and got what I guess was a sales manager. A guy with slick hair and cufflinks came back and I knew it was about to go south. He didn't seem to want to be bothered, because he just said, I don't think we can make this deal work. So we got up and walked out. The next day we went and picked up our new 2020 BMW X5 from Arrowhead BMW. Recently purchased an Expedition from Surprise Ford and overall a good experience. The salesman Dominic D'Saachs was easy to work with, responded to inquiries in a timely fashion, no pressure experience. We had our young girls with us and he was super patient with them, which was a plus. On the flip side, our experience with the finance team was less positive ... the manager Manny was a bit dismissive and disorganized, which made the paperwork part take far longer than necessary. Everything was going fine in an attempt to trade my car for a used car. After several days back and forth emails I was informed that there would be a $3000 reconditioning fee assessed to my trade in (a 2019 VW). Its brand new. I didn't trade the car but negotiated for the Lincoln removing the junk fees. They demanded the titling and licensing be done through their office even though my state is reciprocal for title. They also must've rifled through my glove compartment because something that was tucked in there was found underneath my passenger seat. Took my son in to look at buying his first car. Everything was going great until the "manager" sat down with numbers. He was not only full sticker, but even tried to charge more than what was posted on the car. The added extras were $1695 and they randomly just upped the price for he same exact thing to $2745, a $1050 increase just because. When I told him that the "options" sticker on he car was $1695, he said "on my car"? I showed him the picture and he said okay. What the hell! I know many have had bad reviews with Surprise Ford. however when you have a terrible morning and wreck on the way to work and need your bronco bumper just reattached and some new wheels and rims they make it happen same day. I bought my bronco from Surprise Ford and Dan Doncea is everything you want out of a sales person. He is honest, kind, responsive and understanding. Service advisors I have worked with and loved are Zach and Joe. Both will take care of you and provide both expertise and advice. The GM Pechz is helpful kind, and down to earth. I know some of you have left reviews otherwise however my times meeting with the GM have been pleasant and he handled or explained the resolutions to my problems in a way I could understand the process, and thankful for. Dealerships in general are not Disneyland but Surprise Ford has always been a positive experience for me. I would also like to shout of the parts department for finding me wheels and tires so quickly for the bronco and being able to get the appropriate size rims and tires for my baby that looked better than the last. Give them a chance and ask for the people I named above I can't promise all sales people, service people and or parts people will be great but the ones I have dealt with this far have been great!!! read more

Why would they email us days later and say if we got it to you at a certain price would you buy it and not actually do it once we agreed.
