Part 2 of 17 piece omakase
    Kyle S.

Made a last minute reservation through their online system after flying into Miami. Greater at the bar with two complimentary cocktails and then guided to a quiet and intimate dining room with room for 14 (if you buy out the place). Sushi was some of the best I've had on either coast. $175/head Their tea is remarkably good if you aren't a same/alcohol fan. Very unique and enjoyable experience. I'll be back when my wallet can take another punch!

What an experience!! I've done some omakase around the US and they tend to be a little stiff, serious and not necessarily fun. This isn't the case!!! Ambience was intimate and dark and all three chefs were extremely interactive and hella fun!! Whoever was in charge of the aux was spot on with the jams! Needless to say the food was outstanding

Just wow. This was the best sushi experience I have had in Miami. We went for a special Bilt Rent Day Event and were treated to a private omakase. The setting was lush, intimate, and comfortable. Each course (nigiri except for the first hand roll) was made in front of us and explained in full. Toro was a highlight but honestly I am hard pressed to pick a favorite. We were offered sake pairings as well--high recommend a glass of the sparkling sake. This was an unforgettable experience and I would definitely go back!!!

I recently came here and was so impressed with the experience! Sushi bar is an intimate experience with a few people seated at the bar. The fish was top notch - every bite melted in your mouth. It was so fresh! The chef gave a story about every piece of sushi. Comparable to other Michelin sushi spots I've been too. Can't wait to come back!

I highly recommend the omakase experience at Sushi Bar. It is an event you won't soon forget. The evening begins with a complimentary cocktail in the courtyard. You are then ushered into a dimly lit room where you are introduced to the team that will cater to your every need. As the evening progresses, the chef describes the unique flavor of each bite. Each piece was a delight for the senses. There was one with a Latin twist and another with a spicy kick. I came for Miami Spice, which was the perfect introduction to omakase. If you're considering trying out omakase, this is definitely the place to do it.

Intimate experience! Came here for a solo dinner for my birthday. I was one of 3 people reserved for our time slot so it made it really personal. Food was amazing.. and I left super full for the 18 pieces. Worth every penny! Drinks not included in initial cost.

Hi Yelps! my love for sushi never ends! sushi bar was a wonderful experience. Keep in mind the price is high but from start at the door to finishing your last dish from the omakase. I loved it! and would recommend to at least experience once! it's sophisticated, delicious, dark roomed intimate vibe but, every bite was better and better. The omakase was full of a variety of dishes I was stuffed in the end. parking is tough would recommend valet. It's inside of a hotel on south beach! In Miami, FL. you get wonderful sites of Miami if your coming into town or even just a local taking a trip down to the beach. In the lobby you let reception know your there for the omakase and they lead you to a bar lounge in a section of the hotel very sexy dark vibes, delicious drinks, service was excellent and it was included in the omakase price so I ordered two drinks! then once the omakase is ready to start they walk you down a path to another part of the hotel to a room that's the "sushi bar" only couple seats, super intimate and very interactive experience. I was so happy with each bite and wanted more of each!! I am planning on going back for sure. The omakase was almost two hours explained each dish, all made infront of you - lovely touch of your name plate once your walk in, first thing you see. The dessert was delicious as well great to end it and once your done you can hang around the hotel, there's an outside space , bars and your right on soith beach!

I was mesmerized by this place, the sushi bar service & the spectacular flavors!! I was with a friend who doesn't even eat sushi and they have now been converted. I did have to remind them that not all sushi is to this exquisite level. Very fresh fish, & many topped with caviar, the most amazing flavors I've tasted in a while. Perfect. Something I love about getting sushi in the south is: they are not scared of flavor!! Seasonings and spices. Plain raw fish gets a little bland, and Sushi Bar made sure to avoid that. Atmosphere is very intimate and close, dark and romantic. Only downfall is it's almost TOO close--venue was VERY small. Looks like settings maximum 20-25 at a time. They need to downsize the chairs as they are too large, & make the space cramped, and hard to get out to use the bathroom, which is quite a treck as well... Be prepared, I believe our seating began around 8 PM, and we did not leave until 11!! Nearly 17 courses & the chef makes sure to take their diligent time with the educational and explaining aspect. Great, but we were damn near asleep at the table by course number 15 Chef Francis Arguilla was amazi Solid 4.9

So this is something i need to bring up over here... The experience at this place will begin with an exquisite cocktail experience at El Salon, following up with a culinary journey became an adventure you absolutely can't miss! The restaurant's aesthetics blend elegance and charm, immersing you in pure sophistication. But what truly made this evening extraordinary was the exceptional warmth and attentiveness of the staff, turning us into cherished guests. As we sipped our final cocktails, we seamlessly transitioned to sushi bar restaurants. There, the 17-course omakase experience unfolded like an exclusive performance by a private chef. The precision and guidance from the chefs were nothing short of thrilling. Not to mention, we even made foodie friends, adding an extra layer of excitement to the evening. From innovative starters to divine sushi creations, every bite was a revelation, a testament to the chef's artistry. I can't stress enough how much I adored this experience. I'm already counting down the days until my return. This is a dining adventure you simply can't afford to miss!

I teach improvisational cooking online. So, when you see not only excellence in preparation, and absolutely the best fish, and amazing, improvised preparations that fuse the omakase traditions with new ideas, this is a mind blowing WOW! 17 single nigiri or other experiences plus dessert. It's as much theatre as it is a meal. You start in a small speakeasy, at the front of the hotel inside which it's housed, for a complimentary craft cocktail. Then you are led back to a small room that is a temple to traditions and molecular gastronomy, with a whole contemporary overlay of flavors that are the end of the road for words and the beginning of onomatopoeia: mmmm ooooh aaaah. We had a tartare in a shiso leaf, a mackerel with an "everything" topping, and so much more that was just spectacular. They offer teas, wines, sakes, and some very stylish craft cocktails. Service is superior. Finding the place, and parking, were a bit tricky, and the reservation system online could be a WHOLE lot clearer. Once you get here, you'll be amazed. All of this comes at a price. Not cheap, but worth every penny. A great special occasion, or splurge night! Must find, foodies!

Walking in you get that old school feel with the staff dressed to the tee and very friendly. They had a special pre fixe menu that was fairly priced which allowed me to try a lot of the menu instead of having to order a la carte. Our server was professional and terse but in a way that I didn't mind and he even scolded some other busboys for taking too long to clear our table which I found funny but appreciated too. I started with the Stuffies which were amazing! The baked clams were dressed up nicely and these were very tasty. The stone crabs were delicious and I loved the dipping sauce it came with. Granted we visited outside of stone crab season and so I'd love to come back when the crabs are more fresh and in season. It also came with sides of hash browns, creamed spinach, and a grilled tomato. While I appreciate the quantity and variety they gave, these sides were a miss for me. The pre fixe concluded with my choice of the Key Lime Pie which was a nice ending for the meal. Nicely balanced between tart and sweetness. My only note would be for the crust layer to be bigger since it would help balance out the pie portion a bit better. We also got the fried chicken which is a steal for only $9. Excellent and crispy skin and very moist! The only dry piece was the breast unfortunately, but otherwise it's hard to find a better fried chicken at this price.

The ceviches were all pretty similar, with the exception of the coconut one. They were tangy, citrusy, and good, but every single one was begging for some spice. If you're ordering ceviche, I'd skip the mixed seafood and stick with the fish-only options. The red snapper was easily my favorite dish of the night. Deboned, fried to perfection, and presented beautifully. My sparkling wine paired perfectly with it. The salmon sashimi was also delightful. Overall, come for the classic ceviche and the fried fish. Those are the standouts. Just don't expect your 20% gratuity to include help boxing up your leftovers.

But, when I saw they were advertising a Lamb Gyro for $12 (Tuesdays), I took the leap. Seems it wasn't that far to jump. Although there were table cloths, cloth napkins and silverware, with room for a true dining experience, the fan sitting atop the bar, (blowing-off more air than necessary), and the plastic plants on the walls/ceilings threw-off any pretense I had of the place. When I requested the Lamb Gyro, the server pointed to an entree on the menu for me to approve. I made sure there wasn't another (re: pricier) offer. There was... it was the one he suggested. The gyro itself consisted of a bland (Tzatziki?) sauce that struggled to find my taste buds. Lamb (typically) has a gamey/slightly sweet flavor; these cuts seemed to be found from behind their refrigerator, (not from inside). They certainly weren't cut fresh from a spit, as they were old and nearly tasteless. The included slices of onion and peppers, delegated to the pita bottom, (instead of intermingling) barely helped. The French fries (included in the price) were the most flavorful part of the meal; although, they were an insult, rather than accompaniment to the experience. And, was that Latin (instead of traditional Greek) music coming from the speakers? Along with a 20% "Administrative" fee, I won't be tempted to venture in again.
