The service was outstanding. It' was Mother's Day and it was standing room only and several people waiting on to go orders including myself. The staff greeted everyone that walked in and were hustling to be sure the guests were taken care of. They stayed friendly and upbeat while being crazy busy especially my server Shana. I can not express how much I love this place and highly recommend it. Whether your new to sushi, have an advance palette or "hey, I just like sushi" you'll enjoy everything they have to offer! At this point having been here many many times I would be satisfied even if I were to close my eyes and point to something random on the menu. Really! I would eat anything they would serve me. I can be picky about sushi and the quality of the ingredients, this place never disappoints. Every time their fish has been fresh with more of a melt in your mouth texture than a slimly fishy taste. A few of our favorites are Starry Night, Crazy Rainbow (always a must!) and Paradise. The plates of sushi are always beautifully served, having many different combinations and styles, sauces and vegetarian options to choose from. My husband and I will always order either dumplings and Shumai as an appetizer and both are uniquely delicious. The restaurant is a bit small and tight, so it really is not good for a large party more intimate for a couple of friends or small family, great for a date! They don't take reservations but if they are busy when you show up they will put you on a wait list. It usually goes faster then they might tell you, but oh it is so worth the wait! The service is very friendly and helpful when asking question about the menu. Don't over look this place and miss out, truly is the place for a perfect sushi experience. My sister and I went to Sushi Blossom for a belated birthday celebration. The parking is a bit precarious, I only say that as a warning. If you have a larger vehicle, you may want to park on the street around the corner and walk. The interior is decorated nicely and spotlessly clean. We were greeted and seated quickly, with cold waters following. It was a relaxing experience on a hot day! We usually get a caterpillar roll and a Las Vegas roll anywhere we go together, as both rolls are old favorites. The Las Vegas is a wonderfully crunchy and creamy roll, coming with 6 large pieces. Super good! The caterpillar had the most perfectly ripe avocado and I didn't get a single bone in the eel. 10/10. I convinced my sister to also get the crazy rainbow, which is a spicy tuna roll with an assortment of fish on top with spicy mayo and eel sauce. This was my personal favorite! I love the idea of a rainbow roll, but I hate fake crab. Having spicy tuna instead is sooo tasty!! My sister usually doesn't like spicy tuna but was a huge fan of this roll. Everything was plated nicely and the sushi didn't fall apart as we ate it. We ordered some cold sake to enjoy with our meal, and our waitress made sure to check in on us but not too much. She heard it was a birthday celebration and gave us some mochi on the house! It's a nice little touch and a good way to end the meal. There were families eating here by the time we left and the staff was so nice to everyone. On the way out, every single person on staff within view said thank you/goodbye. The quality here is hard to beat and was always consistently amazing. We loved that they have a lot of non-fried roles, focusing on the great freshness of the fish (like the Crazy Rainbow, which always is a must). But even their rolls with fried elements were amazing. And to top it off, they have some of the best gyoza we've had. The place is small and parking a bit crazy, but it's all worth it. We never had to wait too long and found the atmosphere cozy. And service was always great. Always appreciated how the sushi chefs and front staff always said goodbye when we would leave. We miss you Sushi Blossom! read more

If you looked through my reviews, you will see I eat a lot of sushi. Yes I am a sushi snob. I've been to quite a few places in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, this is definitely the best I have found. We walked in because it was convenient to where we were meeting some people, and saw a cute small place with nice ambience. They were spot on with the service, they didn't violate any of my multiple pet peeves, which again you'll see in my other reviews. The fish was fresh and prepared absolutely wonderful. When your seated at your table near the window, you look out and see the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist castle. What a nice view. This was our second time here. On this outing we tried the miso soup, baked mussels, moonlight , Sea-hawks, sushi blossom and starry night. Accompanied with hot sake and hot tea. The hot tea had a toasted rice flavor, which is my favorite to enjoy with sushi. The miso soup was perfectly salty, that I didn't need to add additional soy sauce. A warm start to our dinner. The baked mussels were delicious, warm and cheesy, although the mussels were a bit chewy. My favorite rolls out of the four were the starry night and sushi blossom. All the rolls were amazing. The salmon was fresh and buttery. The super white tuna melted in my mouth. On our first trip we tried the Hamachi carpaccio, spectacular. There is a flame next to the dish on the menu, and it wasn't as spicy as we thought. Which is perfect to us. I wish I would have taken pictures of the food, but we were starving. Sushi Blossom is one of our top places to go for sushi. Plus it's on the hill so it's minutes away from us. read more

Wow. This is honestly one of the best sushi spots in Spokane. I've tried a majority of the shops in town and this one is up there with Sushi.com. This is the place for a lunch date or casual meal. The whole store is so lovely and the set up is so cozy. The staff here are also so sweet! I was truly impressed by the meal and the service. I have ordered the Starry Night everytime I went... and it's so good I can't stop choosing it! Who ever goes to Sushi Blossum with me usually ends up stealing a roll or two off my plate since it looks so delicious. My boyfriend got the pit-a-pat roll which was yummy and a little spicy. I also ordered and unagi handroll (I'm a sucker for eel!) And it was so delightful and warm! I have yet to try something here that isn't phenomenal. "Lava roll no eel sauce, on the side, starry night roll, no eel, on the sauce, moonlight roll, no eel sauce, just on the side, and pit a pat roll. But we don't need like 4 eel sauces on the side, just one or two" (because I didn't want to be wasteful) Lady on the phone "okay 25-30 minutes" I set a timer and get there after 30 minutes. I go inside and I'm like these rolls have no eel sauce right? The girl is like.... Uhhhh.... Let me check... no I'm sorry I thought you said you wanted extra eel sauce.... They all have eel sauce.... I'm like .... Ughhhh I don't like eel sauce but my friend does. That's why I wanted it on the side for him..... are you serious? They have extra eel sauce? The sushi chef over hears and is like we can remake them all for you. It'll be 15-20 minutes though. At this point I have already signed the check for $79 including tip... so I say no, it's fine. Like at that point I'm not trying to wait an hour for these stupid rolls..... this experience was disappointing. The staff / manager / hostess whoever did not offer to take a roll off of my check or give me a discount because they royally fucked up my order.... I paid almost $80 for something I didn't want, even worse for extra of something I didn't want. Besides that whole aspect of my order, the rolls were good. My friend who loves eel sauce thought they were amazing.... Of course I wasn't the happiest with them. I just wish the customer service would have been a little better..... 3/5 stars. I really wasn't expecting to find good sushi in Spokane of all places, but I was pleasantly surprised. The octopus balls were a bit sweeter than I'm used to, but it actually worked well. I had the starry night roll which was more like deconstructed sushi because it had all the fish toppings chopped on top like poke. Again, not expected, but it was very delicious. The man had a teriyaki bento box which was nothing to write home about, but...it's teriyaki..kind of hard to wow someone on something so basic. The seaweed salad, on the other hand, was shockingly flavorful. I'm not usually a fan, but I ate tons of it. Oh and the yellowtail nigiri was super fresh.
