Don't let Google Maps fool you into turning on 13th. That's too far. The parking lot is right on Grand; turn right immediately after the Scratch Bakery on the right. You can see St John's from the dining area. This is, I expect, as good as sushi gets 200 miles inland for a price anyone can afford, not to imply it was cheap (or that there's anything better to be had in town; don't know yet). I paid $92, with tip, for dinner for me and my seven-year-old daughter, and we cleaned our plates. We had fried gyoza, a Nigiri combo with the tuna upgrade, a spider roll, a rainbow roll, Tobiko Nigiri (my kiddo loves roe), a chocolate fish waffle ice cream, and a green tea mochi. Everything was good. The fish did not taste any fishier than the place I used to hit in Duvall, near Seattle. I've found well-reviewed sushi places like this to be of very consistent quality. The service was attentive and friendly. The Taiyaki/"Fish" Waffle Ice Cream is in the shape of a fish. It doesn't taste like fish. This place is amazing and definitely added to the favorites list. They do not skimp on the portion sizes of the Sashimi and the Nigiri. I went with my mom, who has a soy allergy. The waitress was very, very accommodating and suggested alternatives to replace certain items. We were seated outside, and it was nice at the beginning because there was a heater. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. Had two great Sushi rolls! The Yaki Soba was fresh, but lacked complexity - i think my kids would really like it. The biggest feedback/frustration i had is how the restaurant represents Crab on their menu. In multiple places the menu says 'Crab Meat' but only when asked did we find out it was all imitation crab. They have no real crab in the restaurant. Seems misleading to say only 'crab meat' on the menu. read more

My new go-to sushi spot! Heck yes for all the hot sake and sushi just a walk away from my house. The rolls and nigiri we've had so far were very, very good. Great portions for the price and quality of the fish. Also had seaweed salad, inari, and miso soup on multiple occasions. Was leaving my barber when I noticed the "Grand Opening" banner in front of Sushi Blossom. So, the wife and I came back that evening to try it out. The restaurant is quite charming with a nice sushi bar. We sat below a faux cherry blossom tree near the corner. We started with miso soups, which were hot and delicious. Then we meandered through the nigiri sushi menu. It is no exaggeration to say that the fish was among the freshest we ever consumed. The "tuna" of the day was wonderful. The "otoro" and "bluefin" were amazing. The spicy scallop was also delicious. The quality of the menu was equal to any sushi dining we encountered in our travels around the Western United States and Hawaii. Be prepared to spend a bit and it is worth every penny. Went there due to the other great reviews we read on Yelp and so glad we did. Small place but having the patio option almost doubles the space. Waited a bit to be seated but it was not an issue since we enjoyed the sushi so much. Server was friendly and we felt we were taken care of. Husband loves sashimi and he said it was the best he has had in the Spokane area. He also ordered a dragon roll (one of his favorites) and it was very good too. Firstly, I will start off by saying that this place is basically perfect and I had no complaints with anything while I was there. The atmosphere was very lively and everyone seemed like they were all having a good time and the workers were very professional and friendly. The workers made sure we were taken care of and that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal and time there. The food was amazing we ordered six rolls: Golden California, Monster, Philadelphia, Moonlight, Volcano, and the Red Dragon. All Rolls were amazing and taste was great and fresh. The presentation was beautiful. They brought all our rolls out on what they called the bridge. Overall I had nothing to complain about and would recommend for anyone in the mood for sushi. Our order was a little more than 115 dollars for six 10 piece rolls, edamame, and two beers(including tip). Perfect Sushi Place. Will be returning when I get the chance. read more

Crazy Rainbow - 4 stars Moonlight - 5 star - spicy tuna, avocado, cucumber inside, and albacore/tobiko on top Shrimp Tempura - 3 stars Sushi Blossom - 5 stars Agedashi Tofu - 1 Star, small pieces, no flavor, light breading Edamame- 3 stars, good portion, bland, and overcooked Shumai - 3 stars, not Japanese, frozen though Shrimp and veggie tempura - 5 stars, light, fluffy, and traditional batter Taiyaki ice cream - 3 stars, original item, but far from traditional. Terrible service. We arrived at around 6 pm and there was only one group seated at the patio area. We ordered a Tempura Bento Box, Chicken Teriyaki Plate, Salmon Teriyaki Plate, Rainbow, Salmon Blossom, and Spokane Rolls. Other groups started arriving after we did, our server took our order first but everyone else who arrived after us got their orders first. Other tables appeared to have placed the same orders (rolls and bento boxes), and all tables received their orders even though we arrived first and placed our order first. We received our orders a little after 7 pm and just asked them to put our orders in a to go box since we lost our appetite waiting. They apologized and told us the kitchen was backed up. Their response was unacceptable. Why would everyone who arrived after us get their orders first? read more
