Leaving 1 star only because 0 stars isn't an option…read more My boyfriend and I dined here today for Father's Day. The food itself was actually very good--we ordered sushi and hibachi steak and enjoyed both. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. After being seated, we waited 10-15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us or brought us drinks. Once our food arrived, the server immediately walked away without asking if we needed anything else. We never received yum yum sauce, so my boyfriend had to walk up to the sushi station to ask for it himself. While he was there, he saw our server sitting behind the sushi station eating instead of checking on tables. By the time we finally got the sauce, I was already thirsty from the soy sauce and had finished my drink. I placed my empty cup on the edge of the table, but our server didn't come back for at least another 10 minutes. A hostess eventually noticed and kindly offered me a refill. The next time our server came to the table, it wasn't to check on us--it was to drop off the bill. We were never asked if we needed anything else or if we wanted dessert. Then came the biggest issue. When we looked over the bill, we noticed an automatic 20% gratuity had been added for our party of two. The menu clearly states that a 20% gratuity is only added for parties of six or more. When we questioned the server, we were told management had added a 20% gratuity to every check because it was Father's Day. Our subtotal was about $80, but the final bill came to $103 after the automatic gratuity. I'm not even sure whether the gratuity was calculated before or after tax, as nothing was explained or disclosed beforehand. I spoke with the manager, whose only response was, "I'll talk to the server." There was no apology, no effort to correct the situation, and no explanation as to why the automatic gratuity was not disclosed before we ordered. Customers should be informed of mandatory service charges in advance, especially when they differ from the restaurant's stated policy. Had I received this level of service without the forced gratuity, I certainly would not have chosen to tip 20%. The food deserves praise, but unfortunately, great food can't make up for terrible service and an undisclosed automatic gratuity. We won't be returning.

Clean, well maintain and has excellent outside lighting. Additionally, there is outside seating. This is my first time at this location, as I moved to Grapevine from Flower Mound about four years ago. The service was excellent! My General Tao spicy chicken came out exactly the way I custom order it. Though I did not get any of these this time, their edamame, egg rolls, and wontons are always excellent! As is literally everything else on the menu, and you can custom make any of it! Parking was a little frustrating, as for some reason, the shopping center gave the Imaging place a whole bunch of upfront spots, more than I believe they really need, making a little difficult to park at the Pei Wei... but not really that difficult! On the final note, Pei Wei is my favorite place! However, I think with the last price increase, they are overpriced. Having the app helps, when they run specials, which isn't nearly as often as it was in the past! I would be eating here two or three times a week if it wasn't for the price ! I'll always come back to Pei Wei, when the pricing is right!

The manager was so friendly and came out to our table to ask about our food if it was ok and to our satisfaction. She spoke Spanish and carried on a very sweet conversation with my elderly mom. That was so touching. The ambiance was very nice for a fast food restaurant that actually doesn't taste like fast food. Everything was lovely! We will definitely be back!

I stopped by right as he opened. Placed my to go order and waited about 10 mins to get it. Miso soup, edamame, spicy tuna roll and crunchy bowl! As I waited there were a couple of fun vending machines and plenty of seating. A quick 5 mins home and we ripped into lunch! I devoured the roll! It was very fresh and yummy! Lots of wasabi in my soy that I mixed just like I like it! The edamame was good, I added chopped garlic when I got home because it's good like that! I saved some edamame and will roast that in the air fryer for another meal! It's good. It's fresh! Go there, get some. Life is too short for boring food!

Around closing time I got a call from the owner saying, "Hey, your food is ready. We close at 8:30. Can you come grab it?" I apologized and said I would be there in five minutes. When I pulled up, the shop was fully closed. Lights off. Doors locked. And there he was outside in about 30 degree weather holding my bag. He walked it right to my car. I apologized again and told him I felt terrible for keeping him late. Without hesitation, without attitude, without even a hint of frustration, he just smiled and said, "No problem. You are my neighbor. That is what neighbors do." That stopped me in my tracks. He had every reason to be annoyed. He could have left. He could have canceled the order. Instead, he stayed late, waited in the cold, and treated me like a friend. In a time where people feel more divided and rushed than ever, that kind of simple human kindness is rare and really meaningful. And here is the thing, this is not a one off. Every time I come here, they ask how I am doing and they actually listen to the answer. Whether it's the person making the sushi, running the register, or the owner himself, I have never once felt rushed or like an inconvenience. They genuinely care. As for the food, it is exactly what Sushi Go is supposed to be: consistently good, fresh, affordable sushi done right. You are not going for a formal omakase experience, and that is not what they are trying to be. They deliver solid quality, fast, and reliably, and they do it extremely well. The ahi tower is awesome, and we have never had a bad meal here. They absolutely get the food right, and that matters. But just as important is how you are treated when you walk through the door, and Sushi Go gets both perfectly. We will definitely continue supporting this business, and I very much hope you do the same.
