I stopped here for lunch on a work trip. They do not have lunch special anymore which was weird because they have a flyer at the front of the restaurant with the lunch special price on it and when asked, the guy just said he did not know anything about it. A bit odd but okay. They give you a good portion for the food and it was good as well as the service. I have been here several times but it has been a while. I forgot how good they were. My daughter and I stopped in for dinner. I had a glass of generously poured plum wine and the nigiri entree. It was chef's choice and boy did he do a great job. I was served a nice selection of tasty nigiri with perfectly seasoned rice. Check out my pictures on this post. Second time to dine here. Sashimi portions got a bit smaller. Rolls are not their strongest items. There is too much rice and overuse of artificial crab meat in these big fat rolls of mostly rice. A Spider roll is not a huge schmear of artificial crab in mayonnaise, it is supposed to be filled with tempura fried soft shell crab....like Jinbeh. We will avoid the rolls in the future. I took away a star for this and...about the service. There seems to be no training for servers. They seem to lack confidence, and they are not too attentive in the small details. I guess you have to request wasabi and ginger, and even then, they give a very tiny portion. Minus a star for this. read more

The staff and owners are some of the sweetest people I've ever met. I have never gone in here without encountering a kind helpful person with a smile on their face. Rolls are prepared from a cite little window you can sit at the bar and watch. Food is always prepared fresh and they are always pretty quick too. I typically get their bento boxes which if of being honest is enough food for 2 meals or as a share plate and the lunch special is the exact same portions but $3 cheaper from 12-2. This is a great place to grab a to-go order or sit and relax while you eat. The space is small and they fill up pretty tight at lunch. I've never been around sinner or the weekends but I'm sure it's busy. Give this place a try. You won't regret it. read more

We stumbled across this small little sushi restaurant and decided to give it a try. We were seated very quickly and the man took our drink order immediately. Service started out super quick. He was not super friendly but made up for that with his quickness, that was until he took a phone call that lasted forever and all service stopped. The food was good. Fresh but fast. However no one working besides the one waiter apparently could do anything in the dining area. All other groups has left and it was only us left. We were ready to leave for 20 minutes or so while he sat on the phone and everyone else stared at us. It was very frustrating, they were set to close in 30 minutes for their break time and we just wanted to go. I think we will try one of the other sushi places around the area so we don't get in that awkward situation again. read more

Started with the garlic edamame and that was delicious. They have poke bowls available for lunch, bento boxes and a decent selection of rolls without rice. My hubby ordered the volcano roll with crawfish tails. I ordered an avocado dome! It all arrived very quickly! My avocado covered a mound of spicy crab and fried crawfish tails! It was huge! We came here so ravenous that we didn't waste a second ordering dishes left and right, unashamed of our voracious appetites. A hot app to start sounded good. Why not throw in a cold app too? A special roll, sure, in fact let's make it three! One of the tempura rolls, and a baked roll, yes please! Don't forget the Sake! Before we knew it there was a veritable feast before us! The Ahi Tower was the first to arrive. Like a sushi version of tableside guacamole, our server gladly mixed it for us while we looked on. The dishes came in rapid succession after that, Edamame and Carpaccio, a Las Vegas roll, Popcorn Lobster roll, Rainbow roll and Baked Salmon roll. The Popcorn Lobster roll was the best of the bunch mainly due to a generous helping of these scrumptious, melt-in-your-mouth fried lobster morsels on top. The Baked Salmon roll was a close second. To me, cooked salmon has more depth of flavor than the raw form, when done properly, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this on the menu. My least favorite was the Las Vegas roll. It would have been great had it not been for one of the sauces drizzled over it, mayo maybe? It wasn't in the description so I can't identify it, but it wasn't to my liking at all. As a finale to the delicious and substantial bounty we had just partaken in, they brought us complimentary orange slices for dessert. These were carved into little birds like edible works of art. I've eaten here before when they first opened and enjoyed their food. However, it's been awhile since I've tried it again. I ordered through DoorDash and the sushi I got was terrible. I ordered butterfly kiss which I've ordered here before. I don't know if they changed sushi chefs or what happened but it was terrible. The sushi was oversized with oversized stuffed crab and the salmon itself did not taste like sushi grade salmon. I almost spit it out because it was so chewy and terrible. Sushi grade salmon should be soft to taste and melts in your mouth. This was the opposite. I hope they change it back to the way they had it before. Previously, our family had sushi, udon, and bento box. Mostly decent food with good service. Second time, I wanted to try the Spicy seafood Ramen, which seemed to have good reviews. However, I am skeptical of those giving good reviews for that particular dish. Either they never tried ramen before or not familiar with taste of instant ramen. I am familiar with various types of ramen. The spicy ramen, judging by appearance and taste is nothing short of instant ramen with some frozen seafood bits and eggs. I do like instant ramen...because it is cheap and good. But, at $13.99, not recommended. This should be one dish I would not recommend if you want good ramen. read more

Unfortunately we were disappointed with our experience and would not come back here. Came here on a Friday evening with my husband for a date night. We ordered the Yellowtail Jalapeño, one of the riceless rolls (can't remember the name), Salmon Nigiri, Smoked Salmon Nigiri, Tuna Nigiri, Tuna Sashimi and Mackarel Sashimi. The fish whether it was sashimi or nigiri was soo thick that you couldn't even enjoy it. And the Mackarel had such a fishy smell and taste that you could tell it wasn't good quality and we couldn't even eat it. There are lots of sushi places in Dallas so I think we'll have to venture out there. read more

Stumbled across this hidden gem in FlowerMound. It's tucked into a little strip mall near Texas Roadhouse. What a treat though. I'm a big sushi fan and this place serves it big - no small bites here. I couldn't believe how generous the cuts were! It's not a big place with a lot of flashy ambiance but the rolls are spectacular and the amount you get puts most trendy places to shame. 10/10 recommend--best Ahi Tower I've had in a long time. My meal was excellent & the to-go packaging was absolute perfection. IMO poor packaging can really kill an otherwise great dish & both packaging & presentation were truly perfect. The Ahi Tower itself has some sort of crispy fried strips added to the plate (possibly shredded wonton) & it's the PERFECT ADDITION I didn't know I needed until tonight.
