I grabbed sushi rolls from here. The deal is pretty good, you get 3 rolls for $12. I really recommend the pineapple chicken roll. It was really delicious and the pineapple really complemented it. This is a great on the go snack or meal.

Amazing spot for a quick, affordable meal near Washington Square Park in the West Village! You get 3 rolls for $12, and they offer monthly specials. This month, I tried the Firecracker roll (an extra $1), which had shrimp tempura and spicy tuna. I also got two of the regular options--tempura shrimp and spicy tuna rolls. As always, they were delicious and perfect for a grab-and-go meal, especially if you're in a hurry. The rolls come with cute fish-shaped soy sauce packets, plus ginger and wasabi. The only thing I wish they had was a few small tables outside, but given the grab-and-go style, it's understandable. These rolls are gluten-free and the quality is amazing for the price, especially in Manhattan. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Tiny Australian sushi takeaway spot with tasty maki rolls and cute fish soy sauce dispensers! I got a pack of 3 for $12 and tried the salmon, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura. All were tasty! Service is friendly and fast. Overall a nice quick grab-and-go option in west village if you're wanting sushi.

Such a quick, on the go, and affordable meal. I got shrimp, spicy tuna, and crab. The little mini fish shaped soy sauces were the cherry on top for me! Tasted fresh. Service was very fast, no lines, nice employees.

Delicious Australian sushi! Quick, cheap, and tasty. 3 rolls for 12$ is pretty hard to beat! Tried the salmon roll, spicy tuna, and the shrimp tempura rolls! My favorite was the spicy tuna, followed by the salmon roll. Tempura was a bit soggy from sitting in the rice, but I was kind of expecting this. Flavor-wise still good. I love the little fish soy sauce squeeze bottles-- so cute! Will definitely be returning!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to NYC. This place combines such amazing flavor at a very reasonable cost and with friendly service. We got a wide variety of hand rolls including spicy tuna, spicy shrimp, and sunshine. All of them were standout and I don't think you could make a bad selection here. Their spicy mayo dip was also excellent with each roll. I highly recommend trying this place out.

So fun that there is an Australian sushi place in NYC! I love Japanese sushi but I admit that it's easier to eat sushi rolls when it's not cut. The 3 rolls for $12 is a decent price. While the quality of the fish is just okay, it's a quick and cheap spot when you need a light meal. They also give you these cute soy sauce fish bottles. The shop is really small, not really any place to eat inside, so be prepared to takeaway.

I really love this Australian hand roll place all the rolls they have are really tasty and you can get three for $12. My favorite are the miso eggplant and the spicy salmon. The service is extremely friendly all Australian and as for the ambience it's a small takeaway place, so great to grab on the good.

Perfect spot to cure my cravings. I ordered the 3 rolls for $12 and got the spicy tuna, salmon and spicy shrimp. Everything was so good and light. Loved how the soy sauce came in a small plastic fish shaped bottle. This place is grab and go place. Store is small with only one table.

Realistically would rate closer to a 4.5, but rounding up due to overall experience and value! Sushi Counter is a cute, convenient spot to quickly grab a bite to go. There isn't any seating inside, but there are some smaller tables outside. I came at an off-peak time so didn't have a wait, and had a lovely conversation with the woman working there, who walked me through all the options in order to help me make a decision on which rolls to go with. As others have mentioned, they have a deal of 3 handrolls for $12. I opted for the spicy shrimp, spicy tuna, and salmon avocado. Of the 3, I'd say my favorite was the salmon avocado, followed by the tuna and then the shrimp. Decent quality/ratio of fish to rice ESPECIALLY for the price. If in the area and in need of a quick bite, I'd come back, though wouldn't necessarily go out of my way if not in the neighborhood!

I saw this place on TikTok and it was surprisingly not crowded even on a Saturday afternoon when I went. I ordered three sushi rolls - shrimp tempura, salmon, and spicy tuna. The rolls were very fresh plus a new batch of shrimp tempura rolls just came out as well. I really liked the spicy tuna and the shrimp tempura. The rolls were a good size and very easy to eat in a park or on the go. The staff were very friendly and fast. There's not much seating, just two outdoor tables but we ate it in a park on a nice day. I would definitely come back!

The atmosphere here was a bit more lively and crowded compared to the more relaxed vibe of the UWS spot. I enjoyed my meal even more this time around. I started with the beet salad, which was delicious and offered great value given the generous portion size. it featured sliced beets, arugula, goat cheese, and walnuts. I also had my eye on the hijiki soybean salad--which is a bit smaller and reportedly homemade--so I may try that next time, along with the warm mushroom salad which looked very tasty. The edamame was standard but served as a nice starter. For my main rolls, I chose the salmon avocado and the yellowtail scallion. Both were very fresh and definitely worth ordering again. The salmon avocado roll had a nice touch of sesame seeds on the rice, while the yellowtail scallion was prepared with the seaweed on the outside. My boyfriend's sushi entree looked excellent, so I am considering that or the sushi-sashimi combo for my next visit. The entrees provide a substantial amount of food, and I especially appreciate that they allow you to choose which roll comes with your meal.

To be honest, I was getting a little nauseated after 5 pieces, haha~ They were definitely delicious but I'd probably just eat 3 or 4 pieces and share with a friend! It was easy to text the number on the website and coordinate a pickup time, and the staff was friendly when I arrived. The katsu was very, very moist on the inside, with a crispy batter that was so light it was almost flavorless. I honestly couldn't really tell the difference between the tenderloin and pork loin. Overall the dish had a very light flavor and I added quite a bit of sauce and wasabi. Some of the less memorable dishes were the eggplant agebitashi and truffle rice. The eggplant agebitashi tasted like a cross between an eggplant parm and a bolognese. The truffle rice had a very strong truffle flavor that ended up overpowering everything else in the dish. I thought the slices of raw button mushrooms were a little strange. I really enjoyed the sabazushi. The pieces of mackerel were thick and carried a lot of that characteristic mackerel oily flavor, but the oiliness was cut by enough vinegar to balance everything out. The niku udon was also a surprise hit. The noodles were wide, flat, super slurpy, and the broth carried a deep umami flavor. Overall, I had a pretty solid experience here.
