    My favorite uni!
    Ashley K.

Saw this place on TikTok and jumped right over here from Torrance before shopping trip with my mama! EXCELLENT quality of sushi including its uni! Look at its color! The fish amount of generous and prices are more than fair! The place is clean and the server is so attentive! Will be back for more very soon! Come check this place out!

Only got nigiris and a salmon skin handroll. Good size cuts and each was very fresh. My critique is that they have mainly one sauce/pairing for every nigiri which worked for the most part, but it was redundant. The sauce is a light salty vinegar. I felt the sauce did not go well with the tuna and fatty tuna, and overpowered the taste of some other fish that might've been better off without or with a different sauce/seasoning. I really like the quality of their fish but I got a little sick of that one flavor over and over. Will likely come again but get sauce on the side

Any 3 Items Bento Box Dinner - wouldn't order 2 or the three again.

The kid asked for sushi, so we decided to try something new. Reviews looked promising, and I'm always a fan of a place I can grab a last minute reservation at. There were definitely some highs. The place itself is super cute, the veggie tempura was spot on, and we loved the "nuclear bomb" and the yaya roll was the favorite of the night. That's where the standouts and though and overall it was a bit hit and miss for us. Service was mid at best. A table that was seated after us was able to order and get their food before we were even given the chance to order, and we had to flag someone down multiple times just for the basics. For the other food we ordered, the golden dragon roll was just okay and honestly had way too many toppings. The three item bento box was a lot of food, but the teriyaki chicken and beef were not enjoyable and I wouldn't order them again. The spicy pork had good flavor, but was way too greasy and barely had any actual pork. Glad we tried it, but I don't see us coming back.

We had dinner here the other night. There is a small parking lot available. The restaurant itself is quite small and can fill up quickly. This is easily one of my favorite restaurants and sushi restaurants in the OC. The quality here is unbelievable. They get fresh fish deliveries 6 days a week. We let Chef Chris create whatever he wanted for us. It might be my go-to order on my next visit. We started with ceviche. They take nori and deep fry it into a chip. The shrimp, octopus and vegetables piled on top were not only generous but absolutely delicious. A great and refreshing way to start off the meal. Then came the nigiri. The Toro melted in our mouths. The sushi rice uses a red vinegar that makes you just want to enjoy the nigiri as is. Do not add any shoyu to it. That would be a huge injustice to the nigiri. The jumbo scallops, the A5 wagyu, the Saba, the red snapper, yes everything we got was unreal. The freshness and the flavors were incredible. We also got some rolls. The A5 wagyy roll was so good. The toro roll just reminded me that you can never have roo much toro. The blue crab roll was a rice-less roll and just stuffed with blue crab. One of the best sushi meals I have ever had. The prices are really reasonable for the quality that you get. The service was also fantastic. I cannot wait to go again.

Came here for lunch on a Friday and it wasn't too bad. This place is located in a corner plaza so parking can get tight and of course people can't drive for shit. The ambiance is a very cozy feel and the service is good. The cool part is seeing the chefs cook in front of you when they make the rolls. The matcha drink is trash don't get it. 0/5. The peach tea is lit. 5/5. The Wagyu roll was amazing. Lots of flavors and I almost got full off one roll. The Wagyu literally just melts in your mouth. 5/5. The geisha roll wasn't bad. I don't think I was a fan of the cream cheese. But overall it was good. 3.9/5. The coolest is seeing the nigiri all 50% off. We got a bunch. It was great. Fresh seafood too. 5/5. Def a spot to come check out

Yum found this place off of a random tik tok and I'm so glad I did. It's perfect because it's right across from my lash place. You can taste the quality of the fish and you can't beat the prices. Each nigiri was so delicious, the rolls are huge, and the sushi chefs were so cool. I'm surprised it wasn't more packed on a Friday night. We will definitely be back!

Looking for a sushi spot near the hotel my family was staying at. I asked for a recommendation from staff at the front desk at the hotel and they were no help. So I looked on Yelp and found this spot with 4 1/2 stars. Sushi District did not disappoint. Jay our server was kind & helpful. Jay explained that the Sushi pieces are 50% off and Sushi Rolls are 20% off. We ordered the following items: Salmon Sushi, Squid Sushi, Alaskan Roll, Spider Roll, Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna, Shrimp Tempura & Spicy Garlic Edamame. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The parking is packed. So we parked down the street by Chipotle and walked to Sushi District.

If you're looking for sushi. Put down yelp and come to Sushi District. They get daily shipments of fresh fish delivered EVERYDAY . What's delivered today will sell out by end of day. I am so impressed by the portion sizes and prices. For the quality and price I don't think anywhere else compares. This is a secret gem if you haven't been here. The waiter Jay was extremely knowledgeable and super welcoming for a first time customer. He was a great host and so impressed with this place

Sushi District is the first sushi place in California that I genuinely enjoy. I visit Japan almost every year, and honestly, one of the main reasons I go is to eat sushi. The difference in quality and flavor is usually very noticeable. When I asked the staff why their sushi tastes so similar to what I get in Japan, they explained that they make "real sushi" using a blend of red vinegar, apricot, and French salt in their rice. The flavor is so well balanced that you don't even need soy sauce to enjoy the sushi. They also receive fresh fish almost every day, and the quality was honestly unreal. Every piece tasted incredibly fresh and carefully prepared. What made the experience even better was the service. Everyone was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. What's even more surprising is the price. Sushi starts at just $1.92 per piece, which feels crazy for the level of quality they're serving. It's rare to find sushi this authentic in California, especially at such an affordable price. I honestly don't know where else you can get this level of quality without spending significantly more. 10/10. Highly recommended.

Came as they just open so got seated right away. Small place with roughly six tables and sushi counter seating with side patio seating. We went here to check it out since we heard the prices are quite reasonable and it is for the quality of the fishes. Parking can be rough during peak hours or weekends and holidays since it a small parking lot with ALOT of restaurants within the complex. Menu has plenty of great choices to choose from for sure. You self picked on the menu sheets and order drinks and specials items directly with the staff. Staff are nice but somehow very unorganized, they/she brought 2 drinks for 3 people and had to asked for it. She gave us the order from without a pen so had to asked. Since we ordered a lot of sushi, asked for ALOT of gingers so we don't have to ask ALOT later...well, she only brought the small or tiny portion so we kept asking 7-8 times more. Two of the items did not came out so we asked and she forgot to let us know that they didn't have it for today after she was informed by the chef. The foods are fresh, tasty very good and nicely presented. The place is clean and well organized for a small space. Once we done we asked for the check and once they charged the card, they forgot a pen for us to sign...we asked and it took about 5 mins later with me asking another person for a pen. Maybe it's an off day for the waitstaff today. But overall, good foods, good service, good place and great price kinda place to go for sushi for sure.

Dear chef, please reduce the vinegar in the rice. First time in the restaurant yesterday. I ordered the variety of nigiri. The fish and rice ratio is perfect. You can taste the freshness and quality of the fish. The only thing off is the ratio of vinegar the chef cooks the sushi rice which is too overpowering. The first bite is very impressive but all I can remember is the sour taste from the rice even with the unagi piece. Other than that, service is great.

I joined some friends that were visiting from out of town. We were here on a Monday night around 6pm and was immediately seated. There's more table vs sushi bar seating. Even though they didn't have salmon skin salad on the menu, they happily made it for us. Although I felt that it had too much dressing. Very reasonably priced sushi. The portion of the crispy rice spicy tuna was quite large where I thought it was too much rice for my liking. Near the end of our meal the chef gave us a bonus with a small bowl of mixed sashimi which was sweet of him

Stopped by on a Friday night; they were packed and busy! I see this restaurant often passing through the area.Thought I finally give it a try! Lively and friendly atmosphere. I ended up ordering takeout instead. The wait was 30min for sushi. First impression-- the four rolls were nicely packaged. Overall, the sushi tasted fresh and tasty. They have a good amount of spicy rolls if you enjoy fiery flavors. Their sauces that accompanied the rolls were light, which is what I prefer over the deeper flavors of the dipping sauces. Rolls ordered: 1. Sexy Bluefin Tuna is my fav--I like the dipping sauce and the roll overall is unique. 2. Ya Ya Yellowtail- spicy on top of spicy on top of spicy haha ( I love it!). 3. Funky lemon salmon is light and citrusy light flavor. 4. Spicy tuna rainbow roll is a twist on regular rainbow roll, but the heat steps it up IMO. I'll definitely eat here again!

There is a bit of a wait but that is NO problem for a restaurant so small with such quality. Upon walking in, the wood frames and large poster signage boasting of their handmade noodles will entice you, but it's really the smell of their dashi broth in the air that gets you. Of course we got the karaage; I was JUST thinking about the best karaage I had in Japan as I ordered it, wondering if it would compare. It did. Piping hot with juices that exploded in your mouth and burned your tongue. It was perfect. I personally loved it just with a squeeze of lemon on top and the seasoning was also... just amazing. Everything about their shabu shabu soba blew my mind. I personally was craving soba so they substituted it for a dollar. Definitely worth it because WOW their soba was tender, slightly sweet, and seriously was on par to the same exact dish I had in Japan, a niku soba. I also tried their udon noodles. It was so bouncy and chewy and not at all overcooked. I kind of liked the very firm and chewy bite to them, slightly slightly undercooked because as you eat it, the noodles will become softer. That is my preference and they did it here. Their dashi broth was slightly sweet and very umami, yet light at the same time. I couldn't get enough. They also do not charge for hot barley tea here! I wanted to eat more, but my stomach was quickly expanding and I had to take the rest home and it healed me just as much as it was fresh. I will be back very soon.
