A great mom&pop/family owned restaurant for this growing area! This small, unassuming restaurant is full of surprises. We were just looking for a quick dinner and wanted to try something new nearby. Found Sushi Gio on Yelp with perfect rating and seems spanking new, we figured why not, even tho the name kinda threw me off at first. The inside is pretty small, with the most maybe 15-20 seats top. The whole restaurant seems to be run by only 4 people: sushi chef (husband/father/owner), waiter/busboy/cashier (son), kitchen chef in the back (wife/mom), and an additional cashier/waitress. The 2 times that we've been here, they always apologized at least couple times (in advance too lol) for the delay/long wait. However, the food always come out super quick, fresh, and delicious. We never had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes for our dishes to start coming to the table. I have only ordered out from Sushi Gio, I have not dined in. With that being said, Sushi Gio is probably the best sushi place in the area, hands down. They are generous with their fish & their rolls are well balanced (not too much rice)! We always order the same few items and try to get some new ones. Here are the ones I definitely recommend: salmon torched roll (my absolute favorite), baked salmon roll, Gio fire roll, seared salmon belly sushi, yellowtail sushi. The salmon torched roll is a family fave, even my 5yo loves it & prefers it over the baked salmon roll lol. The way they package the food is also decent, it's never messy or overpacked. I do wish they would give a little more wasabi, but that's just a preference. Overall, Sushi Gio is the only place I will order from when we're at home! read more

I've patronized this eatery since it opened, the husband and wife team are superb, the Chef takes the Sushi Bar and the wife runs the kitchen and hot foods. Their sons work as the staff. I wish I could keep this place a secret but that ship has sailed. I'm not the only one to discover that the best sushi in town with the best quality fish is at sushi Geo. Small, but perfect and immaculately clean. It is family run and there are only a handful of tables and about 4 stools at the counter, but they are cranking out the sushi for a steady stream of door dashers throughout our visits. Sometimes we have arrived to find a "dining room is closed" sign just so they can keep up with takeout orders. So we call in an order and take it home or go somewhere else. They do not have a full bar, but offer several Sake options and Japanese beers. We were told on our last visit that they plan to offer wine soon. We snag one of the 3 booths against the wall. I love salmon and usually go with the Alaska roll. It's a California roll with salmon over the top. I like to have cucumber added too for a little crunch. My husband prefers tuna and orders the Gio Fire roll. We share the vegetable tempura sometimes and it comes with a nice selection of veggies. read more

Salmon Torched Roll- So much salmon which I love, such a good deal and so good. Raw salmon on the inside and torched salmon on the outside. Salmon belly- nice and fatty, the perfect amount too. Tried this out today bc my parents mentioned they liked it here! Service was great, vibe was perfect, and food was delicious! The food came out in a timely manner and our waiter was very helpful with enjoying our food and my sesame allergies. The gang jeong was delicious and so was my bento and my boyfriend's sashimi bowl! I recommend the salmon sashimi over the tuna personally! It was so buttery and smooth! Will definitely be back! Note: The place is suuuper tiny! They have 3 tables and I think like 6 chairs at the sushi counter. I personally love the size but I definitely would not take a big group here unless I call ahead or something. Sushi Gio should really be called Sushi Gem! It's a smaller restaurant with about 3 tables and a small sushi bar are. While it may be small in size the taste and ambiance are phenomenally large! My family and I have been several times and tried various items off of the menu, all of the sushi items have been so good. I really wish the establishment was larger, we have attempted to go again more recently and each time has been packed with no seating available. So if you happen to stop by and see an open table make sure you snag it so you don't miss out on this sushi gem! read more
