Good, cheap sushi. Most folks take theirs to go, which the place is obviously designed for. Double tuna roll was spicy, fresh and tasty. The food is great! We always get our food to go. They make the sushi rolls right in front of you and on average take 5 minutes. We always go inside and order and when it's busy the longest I have had to wait is 10 min. The chefs are nice and prompt. Food tastes fresh and always well prepared. We ordered for this evening for a take away, it was fast and we had no problem with it. But the things we ordered were inedibly bad. The salmon sashimi was obviously not sushi grade. I was skeptical for going to a fast food sushi place. Hell I don't even eat grocery store sushi. But I was very craving and I didn't want to dress up and go to a restaurant. So I said why not give it a try. The place was clean but empty. I asked what was the most popular and he recommended the crunch run. I tell you, this was amazing even better then some of the notable sushi bars in Dallas. The reason why I didn't give them five stars. Is because I went back a week later got the same roll and the crunch on the roll was not fresh it was soft with no crunch. So my advice to them is to rotate the old crunch with new option. read more

Not a very good experience at this establishment. There are few things that are wrong with this place. First of all, their food doesn't taste like it has been prepared by a chef or someone who knows how it should be made, to compare Sushi I get at Hmart or other asian grocery stores taste much better. Price is too high for what it is, the price of not too high for sushi place but considering you are getting gas station equivalent of sushi I would say the price is way too high. Felt uncomfortable ordering , chef and also cashier didn't make me feel comfortable since it was my first time, he always looked down when talking so I wasn't sure if he talked to me or other 2 people that were there. read more

We have gone here several times since it's open. Super reasonably priced - great lunch option. Their sushi bowls are HUGE, I'm talking, mega size bowl at a fro-yo place. My husband and I shared it. I found a new sushi place! This was my first time going here. I ordered take out and it was ready when I got there (about 10 minutes). The place has tables but the people that were there were for takeout. I was going to take a picture but forgot and ate it as soon as I got home...haha. I got the Angry Wife (add cream cheese) and a Phili roll w/ spicy mayo on the side. Two rolls for $15 was totally worth it to me (in moderation lol) because the portion sizes were great! read more

The menu on Yelp is not up to date so I ordered a sushi roll that I can't have (had eel sauce that's sugary and I'm a diabetic) because I'm diabetic and can't have a sugary sauce, I called sushi go to explain the situation and try to get the roll described in the menu, but the Owner did not solve my problem and suggested I call grubhub to get my money back. Based on the reviews, I had high hopes and expectations. I used to frequent an express sushi takeout place in downtown Chicago called Osaka Sushi Express & Fresh Fruit Smoothies that serves some of the best sushi I've ever tasted. Naturally, the thought of a similar concept (delicious fresh express sushi made to order) in the north Dallas area was a relief because it was long overdue. Unfortunately, this was the least delightful sushi I've ever had. I ordered a shrimp crunch role. I had no idea it was topped with loads of cheap imitation crab intermingled with way too much eel sauce and spicy mayo. I simply removed that thinking its absence would enhance the taste of the roll. It did not. It tasted cheap and express. Hours-old rolls at Whole Foods taste better. I'm sure this review will be buried under the 5-star ratings, but I had to post it anyway. If you enjoy good sushi and want it express, you're better off just stopping at your local grocery store or ordering takeout from your favorite sushi restaurant. read more

Unfortunately this place is just not good. Not horrible, just not good, especially compared with Sushi Go in Garland which is how I became acquainted with this restaurant chain. I've given it 3 tries and won't be back. The crunch roll has zero crunch and is smothered in an abnormal and not tasty variety of fake crab, like these really long pink slimy strands, not the usual white / pink fluffy imitation crab. The crybaby roll just doesn't taste fresh, not sure if it's old spicy tuna or what. The angry wife roll was pretty much inedible. There may be other decent rolls, but those are my favs from another location and they were not good, even given the cheap price and convenience. Other recent reviews seem to like it, so just give it a shot and keep your expectations low. read more

First off, i have to say the store is exceptionally clean. The chef himself named Phillip is there alone holding down the store everytime i go in. Whether its lunch or dinner rush, he himself balances customers dineing in, grubhub, doordash, ubereats orders, walk ins, and incoming phone calls. I noticed while i was waiting for my food, he moves super fast and tells funny stories and manages to keep a smile eventhough he has a handful. What struck me was how he is able to do everything in stores. I did mention in the beginning how the store is super clean. He sweeps and mops all by himself, again he still manages to hold conversations and smiles. Props to Chef Phillip. I noticed lunch rush is around open- 2pm then 6pm to close(9:30). All their rolls do not go over $8. Regular rolls start from $3.95. He can modify your rolls as well. The sushi rice always taste amazing. Their sushi bowl is not only massive but packed with flavor. I'm running out of time, i have to get to work but i can go on and on about my great experience here at sushi go on Preston rd and belt line in the same plaza with tom thumbs. They are between dickies bbq and burger island. All in all i give this store and the person running the store with no mistake, chef Phillip. Keep up the good work! read more
