This is a great sushi place for decent quality sushi that is well priced. The portions are also nice. Located on a off-road plaza in Saratoga. It's very casual vibes and the staff are prompt.

We returned to sushi heaven after many years of hiatus. The restaurant is doing much better from what we remembered. Everything was pretty tasty, fresh and well made. We enjoyed the Toro sashimi, kama, tempura and sweet shrimp nigiri. Our waitress Annie was very sweet, helpful and efficient. We will be back soon and so glad we've rediscovered our neighborhood spot

I've been coming here regularly, The food is always delicious, and the quality is consistently good!

Growing up in Saratoga, there weren't many casual asian dining places nearby and Sushi Heaven has always been a staple restaurant for my family for weekend night out dinners. Sushi Heaven is not traditional Japanese, and has a variety of rolls that are fun to choose from and also has great bento boxes. They also reasonably price Toro and if you're lucky, you get decent cuts. They take reservations and are busy during dinner times so call ahead or there is a waiting list.

Good sushi, tried the giant roll for the first time and it is indeed GIANT but very tasty!!

There are many tables and 10 or so seats at the sushi bar. Upon sitting, we had our drink orders taken immediately. There are daily specials posted on the board, one paper menu for nigiri, rolls, and hand rolls as well as a regular appetizer and entree menu. I ordered the sushi special which was an assortment of nigiri with a fatty tuna roll. Every slice of fish was fresh, buttery, and had the perfect amount of rice. The bluefin tuna nigiri melted in my mouth I wish I ordered more. A standout for us was the Toni special roll which has your choice of fish inside with seared salmon and scallop on the outside. Needless to say, the service, the speed at which the food was served, and the quality of fish were fantastic. Easily one of the best quality sushi spots close to me.

The broth is so flavorful and unique, and the texture of the udon is perfect. Spicy udon 10/10 So when they announced they were moving toward ramen, I totally understood why people were upset. I was heartbroken too. But I also felt bad seeing so many people leave negative reviews without even trying the ramen first. I've been a customer for years but review bombing a small business over a menu change just didn't sit right with me. I decided to give the ramen a try. Is it as unique as the udon? No. The udon is definitely what made this place stand out. But the ramen was still very good. The broth was porky, fatty, and creamy! The Chasiu could use some work. Classic Tonkatsu ramen 8.5/10 I'm really glad they listened to customer feedback and brought the udon back. I hope anyone looking at this Yelp page for the first time disregards the bad reviews and understands that is just how passionate people are about their udon! At the end of the day, I'm happy we get to have both. The spicy udon is still one of the best things I've eaten in the Bay and the ramen is absolutely worth trying too.

I celebrated my two year…read moreanniversary from meth sobriety here, gathered with long distance friends here, slurped here, sat in silence here, and all the in-betweens. I was around when they were just a normal ramen shop, when the broth tasted like every other broth, when you could walk in and know exactly what you were getting because it was the same as the place down the street. Then suddenly, they got ambitions. Now, when my long distance friends come into town, we have to actually have opinions about the food. We discuss the broth. We notice things. THINGS. I'm going to celebrate my eight year anniversary from a Pokemon card unboxing addiction this year having to think about what I'm eating, and frankly I did not sign up for that. I sucked it up when they made the change and tried the new bowl. It's... good. That's the problem. There are tons of perfectly forgettable ramen shops in the area and nothing should beat them, because the whole point of a ramen shop is to be fine. I watched many customers come in, see the menu, then sit there having a moment. Over noodles. In public. Not sure why there was a change up, but there should be a whole restaurant rebrand if they want to start caring this much. This isn't the gloriously average Uzumakiya that we all know and love. :( Have the original owners decided that they hate being unremarkable specifically? Why would they get rid of their beautiful mediocrity? Bro I'm so devastated I have been crashing out for an hour. No hate to flavor, but a ramen shop has no business reaching for greatness. There are already so many ambitious restaurants and losing the one place I could go to feel absolutely nothing feels like someone just pulled the plug on my comfort-zone life support. I hate reading menus, and the way it has whiplashed and nae-naed back and forth udon ramen udon ramen makes me dizzy and frankly my tummy hurts. I don't understand how this change makes sense; there's no way they'll be profitable when every other shop already figured out that the secret is to be exactly fine and never grow. They threw away their loyal customer base of people who specifically wanted to not be impressed. What has Big Flavor done to us... Udon may be twice the size, but its only got half the soul. *sigh*

What better place to wine and dine my little monster than Mizu??! I made reservations for 6 @ 5:15pm through OpenTable a few days prior. Upon checking in & arrival, a gentleman [whom I assume was management] asked that we be patient with service due to only having 2 servers on hand. Not sure if it was bad scheduling or if someone called out but we agree'd and hoped for the best. The Birthday Dinner Consisted Of: *Yellowtail Tartare *Dragon Roll *San Jose Roll *Rainbow Blossom Roll *Yellowtail Special Roll *House Boat Kitchen [substitute the beef bulgogi for teriyaki Salmon] *Miso Soups & House Salad *Mango Mochi Ice Cream [complimentary] Service was slow and not exactly attentive- even with the restaurant not being busy. There were a number of occasions where we just flagged staff for requests. Shout out to Carlos- this young man was always upbeat, mind, and very welcoming. He made every interesting a breeze and happily obliged with customers inquiries. REGARDLESS OF HIM NOT BEING OUR ACTUAL SERVER! Once dinner was over, Carlos stopped by to see if we wanted to order dessert. We slyly asked if there could be any singing for the birthday babe and he 100% made it happen- even if he was the only staffer to sing along with our party. 5/5 stars!!! This TY and review is specifically dedicated to Carlos. Our entire party appreciates your efforts and your high quality work ethics are undeniable. Thank you for making the birthday babe feel loved- she absolutely left the restaurant with warm, fuzzy feelings.

It has transitioned into a half-sushi, half-pop-bar concept that feels disjointed and lacks the authentic Japanese "vibe" it once had. Instead of a cozy dining atmosphere, the decor now feels like a generic bar you might find in an Asian metropolitan nightlife district--not exactly the setting I'm looking for when I want quality sushi. The Food The menu is now heavily focused on sushi rolls, but the execution is strictly average. For a place that has moved toward a specialist roll menu, I expected more punch. We also tried the Chicken Katsu, which was the biggest letdown of the night; it was incredibly dry, bland, and lacked any depth of flavor. It's definitely not their forte. Service & Value While the staff was fine, the pricing is quite steep for the quality of food and the "bar" atmosphere provided. You are paying premium prices for a mediocre culinary experience. Final Verdict Given the price point and the shift in direction, I won't be returning. There are simply too many excellent, authentic Japanese options in the surrounding area that offer better value and a more cohesive dining experience.

For entrees, we had the halibut and prime filet with a side of broccolini. Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious.
