We returned to sushi heaven after many years of hiatus. The restaurant is doing much better from what we remembered. Everything was pretty tasty, fresh and well made. We enjoyed the Toro sashimi, kama, tempura and sweet shrimp nigiri. Our waitress Annie was very sweet, helpful and efficient. I'm so surprised I haven't reviewed this place as I've gone to this restaurant since I was a kid (15+ years). This restaurant serves amazing sashimi with large and well-cut pieces. The combination of sushi pieces are also well done and very flavorful. I enjoy the titanic roll! Service of the place is great! The people is very sweet and helpful! This is a very casual ambience and well-lit. It's great for families and catching up with friends. I highly recommend trying this place! read more

Sushi Heaven is a local dining gem. The staff are nice and timely. Last time we were there, all the tables were full, but as someone showed up, a table was leaving. The food was excellent. Growing up in Saratoga, there weren't many casual asian dining places nearby and Sushi Heaven has always been a staple restaurant for my family for weekend night out dinners. Sushi Heaven is not traditional Japanese, and has a variety of rolls that are fun to choose from and also has great bento boxes. They also reasonably price Toro and if you're lucky, you get decent cuts. They take reservations and are busy during dinner times so call ahead or there is a waiting list. read more

I came in to try sushi and let me tell you- I'm glad I came HERE to this establishment. I tried one of every sushi. Each one was especially well done, and my waiter shared some recommendations about "what the locals order." I had such a wonderful experience thanks to my waiter and the chefs. As a tourist, I am grateful for the opportunity to try top quality meals in accessible and relaxed settings. This restaurant is located in a neighborhood, and you can tell that it is well loved by its community. I will be coming back to Sushi Heaven every time I am in the area. Look, this is comfort sushi at its finest. The rolls are always huge. The price-point is fair. I can't think of one time I've been disappointed with anything I've ordered here. This is sushi I get when I want to enjoy couch rotting while I binge a series with my beau and have no desire to dawn anything besides sweats when I leave the house. That being said, I'd rate this a solid 3.5. Will it blow your mind? Meh. Probably not. My family and I visit sushi heaven on a weekly basis. The staff are so friendly. You can tell there are customers that have been coming to the restaurant for years by the way the customers / staff greet each other, basically extended family. The sushi is excellent, our favorites are the 49er and rainbow roll! Would highly recommend making Sushi Heaven a go to spot on your list. Fish is always fresh and delicious. Sushi heaven tastes like heaven! I was in town for a work trip and found myself craving sushi. This spot was close and had good reviews so I figured I would try. The service was fast. I got seated instantly. My miso soup arrived less than a minute after I ordered it and was so tasty. I started with the sake and hamachi nigiri, which both had a delicious flavor and large servings of fish. I'm a sucker for a deep fried roll with cream cheese, so opted for the Dynamite Roll. It was nice and hot, the fish tasted fresh, and it wasn't too big or too small. A perfect serving. Staff here are friendly, attentive and quick. Uzumakiya had beef broth, supposedly oxtail broth. It's lighter in consistency than the ramen broth. Tasted more meaty without being heavy or fatty. The noodles were thicker but not chewy. The chashu (pork) slices that came with it was tender with just enough fat to give it the umami flavor. The Tonkotsu Ramen had the thinner noodles. The broth was creamier and richer than the beef broth but not bold or complex compared to other ramen broths I've had but still has a nice balance of flavor between the pork and dashi. Had the same chashu slices. Had more umami flavor than the Udon. Love the Hojicha Panna Cotta. Very smooth consistency. I felt like I'm eating something fancy but not heavy. Combination of light roasted tea and milk flavor. Just the right amount of sweetness. Enjoyed this the most. They had a $3 discount on their Udon. Food came out quickly. Staff were welcoming.

While the stable adds a unique opportunity to see beautiful horses up close, the smell can sometimes detract from the wine-tasting experience. Since tasting relies heavily on all olfactory senses, horse aroma wasn't exactly the afternote I was hoping for. The vineyard was quite a drive from our residence, but aside from the stable smell, it was a wonderful experience.

My parents' 60th anniversary called for a special lunch, so we went to Sushi Heaven. And it was. The thing is, my dad was with us only in spirit (he's in the real Heaven, where they must have sushi), so I came early to pick a table for four: me, my brother, mom in her wheelchair, and a small picture of Mom and Dad with some flowers I stole from Peet's (sorry!). A shrine, if you will, which is very Japanese (though Dad was Irish). I took the young waiter aside (James) and told him about the occasion and he quietly served us throughout the meal with dignity and efficiency, the way career waiters used to, long ago, in fine restaurants. Every bite, every morsel was delicious (you want to know about the food, I suppose). We had lunch specials, with appetizers of edamame (oh, YUM, just salty enough and piping hot) and a quite decent California roll. (And they serve Coke in a can with a full glass of ice. Bonus!) The presentations were lovely, the tempura was lightly crunchy, hot for a long time, and not greasy. Huge pieces of obvious fresh veggies. Beef and chicken teriyaki were delectable. We took half of it home and ate it for dinner. (Miso and salad were half-neglected because we were too full; they were fine.) And then...James had promised "something special at the end"...a tempura green-tea ice cream starfish, with four "fins", for each member of the family. It was a lovely sight and so delicious. He delivered it with a gentle grace, like he did everything else. We were there at lunch's end, the last ones, and after we closed the check James had his lunch in a corner. I went to thank him and he was very humble. "I'm glad...I wanted it to be special for your family. I'm sorry about your Dad. I hope it was nice." Oh, it was. I asked to meet the manager and told her (in front of James--you should always do that, compliment a worker in front of the boss) that our lunch could not have been better. She--Michelle, I think--was so sweet and generous. This is a "locals" place where everyone is welcome. I'm not a foodie, so I can't tell you foodie details and I don't care. I do care if I'm treated like an honored guest and I really enjoy the meal. Sushi Heaven was heaven indeed. And if they have sushi in the real one, I'll bet they serve it like this. read more

Been craving Hinoki ever since I tried it! Seriously they deserve their high rating. I would drive four hours just to eat here because lunch is ridiculously affordable ($19.99) and even dinner is still worth it ($24.99) for AYCE w/ no restrictions and ice cream. The rolls are not massive, so you can try an assortment of their unique creations (pesto for one)! Everything was fresh... We loved the samurai roll, mussels, edamame lol, scallop nigiri, salmon nigiri, mickey mouse, donald duck, and almost the whole menu. Was surprised they had quality offerings such as takoyaki and beef nigiri. And their miso soup was the best I ever had!! I recently visited sushi heaven and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The sushi was incredibly fresh you can really taste the quality in every bite. The presentation was beautiful, and each roll was perfectly balanced with flavor and texture. The staff were super friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the service was quick even though the restaurant was pretty busy. I especially loved the matalica roll which I'd highly recommend trying! The atmosphere was calm and inviting -- perfect for both a casual dinner or a special night out. Overall, sushi heaven has easily become one of my favorite sushi spots. I'll definitely be coming back soon! read more

Nice Japanese food/sushi place for casual dining. It is tucked-in and easy to miss, so just be on a lookout for Peet's coffee. I am not to crazy about raw fish so I normally order Hamachi-kama from appetizers many. Theirs is pretty good size and very fresh. They may not always have it so just ask in advance. All the specialty rolls I tried here were pretty good as exacted from a place like this. As for the ambiance, nothing to right home about, but it's clean and quite and not like lot's of trendy places where you have people screaming and yelling as you try to dine. Prices are moderate. Sushi Heaven is one of our go-to spots! Great quality for the price, and the portions are generous. Our favorites here are the Cupertino Roll and the 49er Roll, both packed with flavor and always fresh. The Chirashi Bowl is also a must-try if you are looking for a filling bowl with great value Heads up that it gets busy on weekends, especially around 5:30pm, so try to come early or be ready for a short wait. Worth it every time though. Highly recommend if you're looking for solid sushi without breaking the bank! read more

I absolutely love the "crack coffee" here--it's so smooth, flavorful, and gives me the perfect energy boost every time! Voyager Craft Coffee has completely spoiled me, and I can't do Starbucks anymore after experiencing the quality here. Please build more locations! It's such a gem, and I'd love to have easier access to it. Everything about this place, from the coffee to the atmosphere, is top-notch. To start, we ordered gyoza and calamari. The gyozas had a nice crispy bottom and a flavorful filling. Id say the gyoza was better than average. The calamari was battered like tempura and served with a light dipping sauce and chili paste. Without any sauce, the calamari was pretty bland, but they were good with the sauce. For our main course, my fiance and I split the rainbow roll, dragon roll, sunset roll, and katsu donburi. When everyone's food came out, we realized this was a huge mistake because the portions were HUGE. I think everyone had to take home leftovers. The rainbow roll and dragon roll were pretty standard but very enjoyable. Our favorite was definitely the sunset roll. The flavor and texture of the yellow tail really stood out. We had to take our katsu donburi home. We split it for dinner and it was still delicious. The ratio of meat to rice was better than other restaurants. Some places give you too much rice and not enough meat. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and plan on coming back!

It's flavored well and salty, but not too salty. I would totally skip the pork belly unless you just love eating fat. I find that it is pretty much all fat and very little actual pork meat. The beef brisket stew is a hit or miss. Sometimes it is also too fatty, and once in a while, it is okay. Probably safer to stay away and just go with the five-spice fried chicken. The bento boxes are a better bang for the buck. The other dishes like bowls are much smaller. I also really like the sausage on the side. Yum, Taiwanese sausage. Anyway, highly recommend this place for a quick meal, but you need to know what to get.

The bento came with miso soup, rice and salad. I enjoyed everything and had enough for another meal. There was a mishap with one of my coworker's order, but staff took care of her afterwards. I love the convenience of this place being tucked away in the side of H Mart in this bustling shopping center! Great food at a reasonable price!

I ordered the sushi special which was an assortment of nigiri with a fatty tuna roll. Every slice of fish was fresh, buttery, and had the perfect amount of rice. The bluefin tuna nigiri melted in my mouth I wish I ordered more. A standout for us was the Toni special roll which has your choice of fish inside with seared salmon and scallop on the outside. Needless to say, the service, the speed at which the food was served, and the quality of fish were fantastic. Easily one of the best quality sushi spots close to me.
