So happy they are back. Highly recommend the zha jiang mian. And the 3 deluxe dumplings are the best.

Dumplings are, of course, our favorite (steamed, beef with chives), Shandong style eggplant, green beens are also a must with every time we dine or order pick up.

I was there last time for their freshly cooked paella and it was impeccable. Recently we came back…read moretwice, once on Sunday as I forgot that the paella was a Friday thing, so the staff told me that they usually have paella and clam chowder freshly cooked on Friday. They happened to have a small tub of Friday clam chowder left for sale, for a whopping $16! That price dropped my rating to a 4 star. Service is still 5, but man, the value proposition isn't as high as before. The clam chowder tasted good, creamy and all, but $16 for that is really hard to swallow. The store itself is clean and sells a variety of meat products and imported goods such as from Italy. We came again on Friday evening, at 5pm exact and saw the paella pan laid outside with some amount of paella piled up. The pan felt cold and we were confused if they haven't started cooking or those were the left over. So we went inside to ask and they said the paella was available starting at 5pm, so what's on the pan was cooked. We bought 1 portion, which feeds 2-3 and it came in two 16 oz tubs. For $35, it fed my husband and myself just right. The smoky flavor was on the rice with meat and lots of clams and mussels (but not those fatty mussels that you saw in the Belgium style dish). $35 for dinner of two is not as bad value as the $16 bowl of chowder. So overall, 3.5-4 stars for food and value, 5 stars for service and friendliness.

Came here to get food to go, on a Saturday after running errands at Home Depot next door…read more I've never seen or heard about this place, and I'm Iranian. Parking was easy. A very big plus for an Iranian restaurant. Usually they're packed. I think it's because the location is not as visible, and the Bay Area has a few other Iranian restaurants that dominate the market. So it's nice to see a different place. I only ordered the combo koobideh(beef&chicken). Took about 10 minutes, the staff was really friendly, the space looked very clean and good for family occasions. Food was ready, and I was excited, zoomed home and opened the box and the smell just made me fall in love. Btw it was Valentine's Day lol.. so this was a gift to myself. The RICE was the masterpiece. Nice and buttery(not too much) and saffron yellow. This itself was a star of the show. Both the beef and the chicken were very flavorful, of course I had to put sumac to add more flavor. They even included a few pieces of bread. And the burnt tomatoes.. LOVE them. Really happy I found this place, and the staff was really friendly and didn't feel very tiptop snobby. Kheyli mamnoon!!!

They have a homey, comfortable dining area inside, with many tables, for eating on site. Or you can pick up orders to go. Koobideh kabob plate was excellent. The portion is large and reasonably priced. I was in bliss. They had all my required accompaniments, hot sauce, extra roasted tomato, zereshk, sumac, saffron rice, hot tea. The owners were so warm and sweet. You can tell this is a labor of love, small family business. Definitely give it a try

It's a bit smaller than some other markets I've visited, but they have everything you need here. Some of my favorite vendors include: Orange Elaichi: This is my go-to spot when I'm at the market. The owner, Janki, is so kind and always remembers me, which I really appreciate. Every vegan option they have is delicious, but my favorites are the Tadka Focaccia, Rose Pistachio and Saffron Orange bundt cakes, and Orange Cranberry Muffins. Hernandez Nursery: They always have the most beautiful plants at great prices. I've bought so many plants from them, and their son has even helped me load them into my car. I highly recommend stopping by their booth. Brother's products S.F. has the best hummus. I always make sure to stop by for the Habanero Hummus, but I've been trying more flavors lately. Their garlic sauces and olive tapenade are also really good. Although I can't eat the flavored labneh, my mom has tried it and loves it. Dumpling King: I love that they have vegan dim sum options clearly labeled. My favorite items are the Green Veggie Bun. I also like the Vegan Siu Mai and Scallion Pancake. I love the organic raspberries at Gomez Berry Farm and organic strawberries at Gonzalez Farm. I tried the tea at Chafolio today because the young man working the booth was super kind. I ended up buying rose hibiscus, and I'm excited to brew it. I can't remember the name of the vendor with the musubi and smoothies, but their Tofu Musubi is so delish, the tofu is very flavorful, and the rice is the perfect texture. Plus, the fruit smoothies are all fruit, so there's no need to worry about dairy or fillers. I'm sure I'm missing someone, but overall, there are so many wonderful produce options and other great vendors. I highly recommend spending part of your Sunday here!

Prices are reasonable compared to other cities as well. In warmer days, this is my Sunday morning haunting ground! I buy fresh organic strawberries here, they are sweeter compared to the ones from the grocery stores and uber fresh. I also make it a point to get red sorrel when in season. Called "gongura" in my native language, we use it for everything from lentils to meat based dishes and even biryani. My other favorite is drumstick leaves, it's known for its medicinal properties and makes lentil based dishes more delicious.

As for food, beef carpaccio and Caesar salad were excellent. As a group we ordered duck breast, Misoyaki black cod, lamb shanks and I ordered the Nero royale linguine. Mine was good, but in all honesty I enjoyed the bite of all the other dishes way more. The linguine just didn't have the complexity of the other dishes. As for cocktails, as a group, which I had taste of each, we had the flowers old-fashioned, kiwi do you love me, Stone fruit sour, garden of Eden, bottle service and day at the spa mocktail. The restaurant is very calm and is great for many occasions, such as date night or girls night. I was impressed at how picturesque the restaurant was and the addition of the flowers on our table. The background looked great in our photos. We ordered the prime filet steak bites for our appetizer. Our entrees were Jumbo Lobster Tail and Mary's Airline Chicken. The portions were small and comfortable for 2 people. The lobster tail was tasty and the steak bites were tender; both meals were delicious. The meals were on the pricey side. The servers were nice to us. The restaurant is cozy and pretty quiet. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a new place to try out in Saratoga.

We ended up in this restaurant that served microwaved chicken. Blechhh. But luckily we discovered delicious crêpes and croissants during our visit. Guess where we discovered extraordinary French food? Here in California and Las Vegas! Zut!!!! A French Holiday Market was a fun way to discover France again. There were cool French vendors and artists. There were paintings, gently used clothes for kids, jewelry, pots and vases. Of course, there was delicious French gourmet food! I was tempted to get so many yummy stuff, but the lines were long at the crêpes and my daughter was starting to have a meltdown. Well, she did have ballet and soccer before we came here. So I took her to the bouncy house and paid $2 to make her happy, but when we came back to get a crêpe they ran out of strawberries! The Banana Nutella crêpe was tasty but I'm sure it would've been better with strawberries!!!! At least the guy didn't charge us for the whipped cream. Thank you! Oh and thanks to the table giving a way free chocolate brioche! We also stopped by a booth with pretty desserts and I couldn't resist the colorful macarons in a dainty box. It was nice hearing French songs sang by Gaelle Bouldier while we walked around. Oooh la la, elle est douée! What a beautiful voice!! Next year, if this market is here again I'd come early. I think we missed out on pictures with Santa, holiday songs, and other delicious goodies. I enjoyed this event! It might not be the real deal, but I'm glad we got a taste of France.
