We went to this restaurant on 7/11/2025 and ordered sushi. When our order came out the rolls were very loose and would fall apart when trying to pick up with chop sticks. The worst part is that out of the four in our party three of us ended up with severe food poisoning. Will not be going there again. read more

Sushi was alright. Not put together very tightly so when you tried picking it up with the chopsticks it'd just fall apart. Served didn't even say hi, or introduce himself, never even replied with a "you're welcome" when being thanked. Looked like he hated being there. Never got a name but he is heavier set, beard with a man bun. Didn't even say what rolls were which when he set them on the table. Definitely no tip for him but will tip the nice lady who took our order finally. Also the sodas were flat even after asking for a new one. Soy sauce container were very dirty, made me hesitate even pouring some. Online they show a menu with appetizers and miso soup, we never saw that menu and the waiter guy made us not even want to ask, especially after he rolled his eyes and turned his back when I asked for a lemonade for my toddler. We have been craving sushi for a while so we came here while in town. That's ok. We were brought our miso soups in a plastic bowl with disposable plastic spoons.. I never had that served that way before, no tofu in the miso soup and it wasn't as good as I expected but it wasn't bad either. At this point I was getting a little concerned, however, they brought the appetizer, shrimp and veggie tempura, my fave, and to our delight, the low priced app looked amazing and was very fresh too!! I was super happy about that. They have a deal there, all you can eat sushi for like twenty bucks! So we tried six different rolls, they tasted fantastic, they were all really good! It has been a long time since I've been to Sushi House. I was in the area and wanted sushi for lunch so I went to see how it's been since the last time I was there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside of the business can use some remodeling and yard care. It looked neglected and hasn't been updated since I was there years ago.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As for the sushi, it was just okay. Store bought sushi at Harmons is an improvement than what I had today at Sushi House. At least I didn't overpay for my rolls. Plates were not clean; I had to sweep off something dried from one plate, and after I poured soy sauce on it and mixed in the wasabi I realized too late that what I thought was a mark on the plate was something dried on that started to flake off and mix into my soy sauce. The nigiri were warm. I am used to eating my sushi cold so this was unpleasant. And iffy... hoping I don't get food poisoning The rice wasn't sticky enough so every piece fell apart once I dipped it into the soy sauce and wasabi on my plate. And trying to gather up all the rice and seaweed that had scattered all over the plate was pretty difficult with chopsticks. The crab nigiri was extra tricky to eat as the crab pieces were so much longer than their rice base. The young woman who served me did not smile, rarely made eye contact, and mumbled when she spoke. This made me feel like an imposition rather than a welcome guest. The prices were very affordable ($12 for 3 orders of nigiri) but I would rather pay more and get better quality service and food. The server/hostess was not outright rude, just a bit standoffish. I will not return. There are other, better sushi places. read more

10 of my coworkers and I met at Sushi House today for their all you can eat sushi lunch. We had an immense amount of food, some of which was very good. We had both rolls and nigiri. Because we ordered family style, and the rolls were brought out on large trays, it wasn't always possible to tell what I was enjoying! One stand out was the upside down shrimp, which had huge globs of that delicious Japanese mayonnaise on it. My coworkers commented on the spam sushi, which I did try--it had a nice saltiness to it. The first order of nigiri that we got was very nicely made, but the second order had really large rice balls and small pieces of tuna. At that point I assumed they were trying to fill us up on rice :-) The restaurant was kind enough to ring us each up separately as we left. I had the all-you-can-eat sushi and a hot jasmine tea, and my bill was $18. That seemed very reasonable. The restaurant was quite empty during the time we were there, from about 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The dining area was quite large and I imagine there would always be a comfortable amount of room. Hand sanitizer was provided on every table, and the staff wore masks. I would consider giving this restaurant five stars if the decor were a bit better and the rice a less mushy consistency. It's cheap, and you "pay for it". If you like sushi, understand that this is a cheap sushi place. If you accept it for what it is, you'll probably have a good time. I remember it being better some years ago, and they could certainly do with freshening up the exterior, but it's still decent. Slow service and poor quality food. We found a partial piece of a twisty tie wire and paper in one of our sushi rolls. We brought it to the attention of our server and she took it to the sushi chef. That was it. When we went to pay for a meal she charged us full price until we brought it up and then she offered us a 10% discount. My first time here was over 10 years ago. It was great. On a whim I decided to take my family for lunch today since the other all you can eat place we used to go to colored down during the pandemic. The first sign that we might be in for a bad experience was the sign on the door saying to call or email Hayley with any complaints. As we walked in, I looked for the health department score and couldn't find it anywhere. I persisted on. The floor was sticky. Each step sounding like we were walking across a giant sticky mouse trap. The table top was about the same, the paper ordering menu was pasted to the table and required effort to even lift up. After waiting for ten minutes I managed to flag down the waitress to get our order in. The food came out fast, which was a plus. But, man, it was the worst sushi I have ever tasted. The spider roll was so dry, even when covered in sauce, that it required extra water to swallow down. The sauce itself was bland. The shrimp was almost as bad as our President. The California rolls tasted worse than gas station sushi. It's a miracle no one got sick. Definitely won't be going back. My husband and i have been coming here for a while now. They past two times we went the service was atrocious. First time it was just my best friend and o. There was one other table and waitress never checked on us, we had to hand the chef the paper to fill out for food after waiting 30 minutes for her to come get it. She finally asked if I wanted a refill when we were getting up to leave. There is a sign on the door with a phone number to call for complaints which I did and the person answering said that she would talk to the waitress. Fast forward to yesterday, my hubby and I went there to give it another shot with my sister. My sister ended up getting the food since it had been sitting waiting to be brought out for a good ten minutes. This time I had to flag her down for a refill. For the majority of the time we were the only people in the restaurant. Also when she was ringing is up she talked on her air pods the entire time. We would love to go again because the food is amazing but typically don't want to spend hours just to eat. read more

Ok I have been here many times now but not for a long time. This is my husbands favorite sushi place because of the all you can eat and they have a good selection. I have felt that in the past the fish hasn't seemed very fresh and the fried rolls were super greasy. Well I don't know what has changed recently maybe it was the day of the week we went this time I am not sure but it was awesome this time. The fish was fresh and the rolls were very tasty and the fried rolls weren't as greasy and didn't taste like old oil like it has before. I am actually excited to go back next time and my husband was very happy with his birthday dinner. I also tried a new roll this time I don't remember it being on the menu before but I could be wrong. Came here for the fabled AYCE sushi. I never expect too much of anything that's AYCE, but this place blew us away! The sushi is quite good! Albacore, salmon, and scallops all were fresh and delicious! They've got a bunch of rather unique rolls. And it's somehow under $20! I ate at least $60 worth of rolls and nigiri. Wonderful deal. Personally I will never go back. Service wasn't at all great, which usually never bothers me unless I'm being completely ignored and the waitress or waiter has attitude like our server did. :/ We got a couple of tempera rolls and they were soggy with oil. Not at all crunchy. I also got the Scallop Nigiri and it has SO much rice. I really do love rice and this was so overdone and packed together it felt like a weight in your stomach. Also, the Scallop was the tiniest thing and it defiantly was NOT fresh. It tasted on the verge of spoiling. I got the Salmon and it defiantly wasn't as close to spoiling, but the piece of fish was tiny on a mountain of rice. I came back. . . . It's right next to my work and I would love to have sushi sometimes for lunch. :/ It wasn't as bad as the first time, but still pretty bad. The Rocky Mountain and Crystal Shrimp have the same mix in the middle and it was so DRY!!! It was really bad. I was two seconds from spitting it out. I feel like it was days old. The Pink Sauce on the top of the Upside Down Shrimp and Rocky Mountain is FOUL!!! I normally love this sauce from other places. I will ask for a side of it, but this one I had to wipe off my Sushi. This is everything I would hate if I was going out to eat sushi. I come here every few weeks with coworkers. They order, I eat mouthfuls of food. I don't really think of it as sushi. It's generally tasty bites of food. Lot's of them. They have a great price. It's always come out fast when I've been there, and they have been really friendly. My only comment is to realize what you are getting. It beats the hell out of American style all you can eat buffet places. My only comment is to stay away from the Nigiri. It's way too much rice for the amount of fish. Stick with the rolls. read more

INTRODUCTION --------------- The allure of unsurpassed value from AYCE (all you can eat) sushi is, for me (and many others I suspect) a living irony. You just know that AYCE sushi can't be good but you find yourself daring to hope and feel compelled to try it at least once to know if this will be your proverbial white whale. Reading reviews beforehand, it was with some trepidation that I presented to the Sushi House for an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet (6 words which don't usually instill confidence). Parking is fair enough as one shouldn't expect crowds at this restaurant. Website: www.sushihouseusa.com Cost: $19.99 for all-you-can-eat dinner although a less expensive lunch buffet is also available. While I've seen an AYCE sushi restaurant put rolls out like a pizza buffet before, the format here is that they are made to order. You indicate which roll(s) you would like to have on a small menu you can write on. STAFF --------------- The waitress wasn't attentive at some points and then rushed during others. I wasn't impressed by the seeming all-teenage staff (both waitresses and "chefs"). They joked out loud and even wrestled which did not bode well for high marks any more than the fact that we were virtually the only patrons; a premonition which would be solidified as the dining experience progressed. Of note, I did have a sushi roll forgotten on a couple of occasions. Additionally, I had a hand roll brought out on two different plates when one was not ordered. My first thought was that this was deliberate to stymy sushi roll consumption. This might have been a welcomed surprise but for the fact that the hand rolls were one of the worst things I'd ever eaten. One of them consisted of only rice with an obnoxious amount of sauces in it. I was scared to eat it. ATMOSPHERE --------------- If "authentic" or themed Japanese/sushi restaurants appeal to you then look elsewhere. The exterior was very off-putting. The interior was semi-spacious with approximately 10 tables, 20 booths and the sushi bar area. There were Japanese-styled lanterns above each table, a faux-jade Buhdda at the entrance, and a mounted sword behind the register but these sparse elements seemed to be thrown on top of what otherwise looked like what was once a Dennys. Bathrooms were largely unremarkable and of slightly below average for cleanliness. FOOD --------------- In a word, "poor." Some people praise the food quality yet I'm inclined to think that individual, personal experience plays a hand in this. Compared to some upscale sushi I've had in California, this was bargain basement food, bested even by supermarket sushi offerings. I sampled a half dozen different rolls and found the fried rolls were overly cooked. Some rolls seemed soggy. There is a sign which alerts you that you may be charged above the cost of the buffet for uneaten food. That's disquieting when you realize that the food is subpar. On an embarrassing note, I found myself finishing some rolls which I found quite unappetizing simply to avoid additional charges. SUMMARY --------------- The familiar addage of "you get what you pay for" springs to mind yet may not qualify for the quality of both the experience and food here and have you feeling buyers remorse along with an upset stomach. 1.5 stars. read more

Dont eat here. Came here for dinner, ordered 3 rolls all at once, none of which were worth more than $10 a piece. Their 3 roll dinner special is $25, we left paying $50 because we did not specify so they assumed we were ordering all you can eat, even though we ordered one round of sushi.
