I had high hopes for this place because of all the good reviews it had received recently. Unfortunately I had the worst sushi I've had in my life not to exaggerate. The tempura shrimp inside our rolls were small and half of the shrimp wasn't even inside. It was mostly tempura batter. The crab salad inside of rolls tasted old and off. My son loves sushi and he couldn't even eat the California roll because it didn't taste good. The miso soup and goyza were the best things we had. All I can say is, "WOW". The hospitality and food is unlike any other place I've been to. I asked the sushi chef for something special and he whipped this up. The server working this past Sunday night was so helpful and kind. She recommended so many tasty things from the kitchen also. I'd recommend this place for family and friends. My personal favorite was the Tiger roll. It had a nice crunch and everything was great! Customer service was amazing as well! Kind and attentive servers were there to assist us whenever. Went there because I heard they were under new management. Used to DoorDash from them a lot so I actually went to sit down and eat. They place his nice and clean and the service was awesome. Cute little place. Sushi is pretty basic. It'll fix your sushi craving but nothing to rave about. The waitress there seems to need more experience. Our table was neglected for almost the entire dinner. We ran out of water and food and still no one came to the table. I asked for maguro to be placed on top of the sushi instead of the albacore that originally came with my roll. I didn't get either of them, some other random fish was placed on top. This place is very clean and friendly people. The wait is ridiculous though... no one in front of us, place kinda dead and took over a half an hour to get any food at all. Not to mention we ordered an appetizer and the CHEF decided to plate the appetizer with the meal... the appetizer was the spicy tuna poppers which came out with COOKED tuna packed in a jalapeño, so dense and gross tasting... my daughter liked them though... we ordered 4 different rolls, and, at least in my opinion, one of the worst tasting sushi rolls I've had (short of the ones that are fishy). They told us they are new owners. The service was fast and polite. We sat at the Sushi bar and they explained what they were making and how they were doing it. The menu explains exactly what's in everything. No guessing! Prices were good for the amount of food. The rolls were big. I got the Bento box lunch. The chicken was fresh, hot and delicious. It came with Gyoza, salad, rice, and fruit for $14. My son got the Godzilla roll and said it was in the top 3 rolls he has ever eaten and he has eaten a lot of Sushi. We are already talking about coming back. Next time I'll take pictures, because the food was also beautifully prepared. read more

I went in and checked out the menu had a nice assortment of items very nicely priced and good ambience. My order came quickly and had decent portions. New owners give this sushi location a new name, freshness and a facelift. I used to frequent Tora and was surprised to find it had changed, but for the better! A clean smell, new tile and paint and friendly staff welcome you. The miso soup has real tofu and a nice rich flavor. The ingredients used on the rolls were noticeably fresh and tasty. Great combination of sauces and unique touches. The filtered water with a twist of lime alone was a welcome change, as we all know Stockton water isn't the best. There is something for everyone on the menu, so it's perfect for casual date night, families or small groups. Great dine in prices with daily specialty rolls offered at 50% off. Today was the first time my family had ordered from Sushi Hub and I would have to say the food is horrible. We ordered a dragon roll, rainbow roll, and chicken teriyaki bento box. The dragon roll was tasteless. It didn't have any sauce and hardly any filling. Just the fried shrimp and a little bit of imitation crab in the middle. The eel was dry. The rainbow roll....The fish on top was spoiled. And the middle was really salty. I would NOT eat here again. Save your money and save your stomach. read more

I was craving sushi today. I happened to be leaving the Dollar Store next door and found this hidden gem, Sushi Hub. From the moment I entered I could tell it was going to be a positive experience. I was immediately greeted by multiple staff members and shown to a table. I ordered a pretty all over the place type meal. I started with edamame. I then tried their sushi wings and Tuna Jala Appetizer. I finished with a tuna roll and a 2Die4 special roll. Everything was really good and tasted fresh. Worst sushi I have had in a long time. Supermarket sushi is better. This is sad because we used to love this place and I don't think this is a fluke or an off night for them because there are some very major changes in the quality of the rolls & wasabi. Soggy rice. Almost 0 avocado in California rolls and the avocado on top of one of the rolls was very mushy and not fresh. The sashimi on top of the rolls was mushy and very thin with hardly any flavor. The shrimp was the most rubbery I've ever had. The deep fried roll had an off putting aftertaste like the fryer oil was old or the cream cheese wasn't fresh. Ruined my appetite. Wasabi used to be the typical horse radish paste and is now a very loose and watery sauce. Very bad. Tuna tar tar was consistency of raw ground beef and had almost no flavor. Tastes like it came out of a can. Couldn't eat more than one piece. All together a horrible experience, ruined our family dinner and a waste of $140. I understand covid is hurting these restaurants but ruining the quality of your food is not how to survive these times. Wish I could get a refund, what a waste. read more

I think it may be the owner changing names to erase negative reviews. The sushi here is okay. It's not anything special or unique. It's on par with all the sushi places in Stockton.
