My friends and I came here to celebrate one of their birthdays. Reservations were made in advance since we were a larger group. Since we saw some parties waiting by the door, it was definitely a good move for the reservations. Although, if you had a small room, I imagine it wouldn't be a long wait for a table. Being extraordinarily hungry, my friend, and I shared a variety of the dishes, including Tempura Udon/soba, Beef onion skewer, Dragon & spicy & crunch salmon maki, Seaweed salad, Volcano roll. I can't say I was blown away with the quality of the sushi, but it was satisfying enough. The udon and tempura were a great compliment to the dishes. The skewer was OK but we did enjoy the seaweed salad. Overall, we had a fun time. The waitress was attentive, but not exactly the most kind. Gratuity was applied to the total in which I appreciated being informed of that in advanced. Looking forward to coming here again!

Food - yes!! Ambience - yes!! Service - yes!! What's not to love? A bit of a hidden gem next to a karate place in an un-assuming strip mall, Sushi Mito serves excellent sushi and other items with a clean and well-laid out seating area. The booths are semi-private, which is really nice to have dinner with friends or family separated from others. Our party had the following items: -vegetarian tempura udon soup: this was a delicious set of various veggies tempura battered with a umami-forward udon soup. Do note: the soup base is fish based (bonito) Note: this came with a complimentary salad with ginger dressing. This was a bit too strong but otherwise very fresh. -various sushi rolls: nice balance of fresh fish with rice, super flavorful! The server was awesome, very attentive and knowledgeable and checked in on us at a good frequency to see how we were doing.

Typically when I go out for sushi, I opt for AYCE to get the best price and go for quantity over quality. On this occasion, I decided I wanted to splurge for some good, quality sushi and Sushi Mito was recommended to me. After reviewing the menu, I could tell I picked the right place to go to. There were so many good options and prices are actually very fair for the size of the dishes. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to get. Since we were a party of 4, we decided we would all just order together so that we could all try more things. We ended up ordering the chef's special for 2, 3 rolls (orange blossom, salmon Serrano, and dynamite roll), and 2 sides of edamame & fries. There also was a bluefin special going on, so we ordered one dish off that menu- the 6 piece Toro Otoro Nigiri. The chef's special for 2 came out on a large plate. Although it was "for 2," there was definitely enough to share among the 4 of us. The sashimi and nigiri pieces had 2 of each thing while the rolls had 3-4 of each. The cuts on the sashimi and nigiri were actually pretty big that I was able to share half of each piece with my husband so that we could all try each thing. There were over 40 pieces of sushi on the plate. The rolls were also huge and had big cuts of fish on them as well. I loved the toro otoro nigiri! It was unlike anything I had ever had before. Everything we ate tasted so fresh and high quality fish. It definitely was an experience I'm not used to since I usually eat AYCE sushi instead. Based on this experience, I would love to come back in the future and try other things off their menu. I've been told that their lunch specials and their bento boxes are also very generous in portions especially considering the price. Definitely can't wait to come back and try those in the future!

Wanted to give this place a try because a friend said they had really good Bento boxes and combos. Brought my kids here during lunch. They have separate menus for dinner, lunch, Sunday brunch as well. We came on a Saturday afternoon and they were fairly busy. Had to wait a little bit, but it wasn't too bad. Service was great. Our waiter was very attentive and came back periodically. The decor was very nice, fit with the Japanese themed decor. They had a pretty extensive menu. Everything from sushi, to Ramen, to tonkatsu. The food was good; your typical Japanese restaurant. I think the service and the decor stood out more to me than the food.

Followed the recommendations of a fb group and had a fantastic dinner at Sushi Mito! This is the "lady's dinner" plus the izakaya portion of the veggie tempura. I finished most of it and feel like I might bust open like a piñata . All of this for under $50. The Chirashi was fresh, the chawanmushi was creamy, and the miso cod was insanely delicious. I will definitely be back!

This is an excellent Japanese restaurant with fresh fish, clean dining area, kind service, and reasonable prices. Located in Peachtree Corners it's about a 35 minute drive from where we live but the drive is worth it. Came here with my family after watching a movie at Mall of Georgia and enjoyed our entire meal from start to finish. Here's what we ordered: *Edamame *Beef loin *Bacon scallop *EBI fry *Okonomiyaki Toro power roll Toro nigiri and gunkan Negiri premium Chirashi Miso ramen All dishes were excellent but we found the Okonomiyaki was a little on the heavy side so we didn't finish that and took it to go. Parking is plentiful and this place definitely fills you up! I can see why this restaurant has been around for a while and also why they are so highly rated. Sushi Mito has become one of our most memorable and enjoyed Japanese meals in Georgia and for that I'd like to award them with this glowing review and 5 solid stars! Hands down the best sushi restaurant in the area! We went on a Friday night a little before eight and the place was PACKED. Since it was my first time there, I wanted to see the quality of the fish so I got the chirashi($31) and the nigiri premium ($45) And oh boy...I was thoroughly impressed! All of the pieces were melt in your mouth, buttery smooth. The rice was cooked nicely as well, not too dry but also not too sticky and it wasn't drenched in vinegar like some places i've been to. The prices aren't cheap but I think they are worth the quality. I've crowned Sushi Mito as my favorite sushi place and will be going back to try other items in their menu! 10/10 recommmend

Omakase is very high quality and reasonably priced. We love the restaurant and the staff. Always enjoy the experience. 5 Star for sure! They have recently marked 25 Years in business at that location.

This was our first time ordering take-out from this restaurant, and we were genuinely impressed. The sushi was extremely fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor -- exactly what you hope for when ordering sushi to go. The hostess was especially friendly and welcoming, making the pickup process smooth and pleasant from start to finish. The order was ready on time, packaged well, and everything was just as expected when we got home. Overall, a wonderful first experience. We will definitely be returning -- and next time, we look forward to dining in as well.

We have enjoyed Sushi Mito for MANY years, usually going there at least once a week. Great food, great staff. Side dining room has recently been remodeled into a "friendlier" arrangement of seats. Our favorite place to entertain guests.

This place is a longstanding Japanese staple in Peachtree corners and I've been coming here for over a decade. They have a wide selection of reasonably priced sushi, bento boxes, and combos and the seating is mostly semi-private booths and smaller group spaces. The fish is always fresh and reliable, and I love their combo sets. I like getting the lady's lunch set, which includes a mini chirashi, chawanmushi steamed egg, and a couple other sides.

Now that was lovely. Had an impromptu birthday celebration with some friends and had an excellent time. First of all, you should definitely make reservations. Host staff and servers were all friendly and thorough. You can tell they want to be sure you have an excellent experience. The internal environment is comfortable, with Japanese stylings, and is quiet. It was easy to hold our conversation without competing with music or crowd-noise. But if the staff and the comfort of this place isn't enough, you will find yourself in appreciation of the food. We went to have sushi. I was pleasantly surprised to find an izakaya menu alongside the sushi which provided all manner of Japanese cuisine and comfort foods. You'll be able to get everything from very traditional sushi to innovative sushi rolls, to Japanese curry, tonkatsu, or ramen. And I haven't even had the saké. I'm looking forward to my next visit. I can't believe that I didn't write a review about Sushi Mito. It is a nice little Japanese restaurant tucked in the corner of Peachtree Corners. Their lunch special is always generous, especially for ladies. The one and only LADY'S LUNCH SPECIAL provides three courses, like a former lunch($17). What's more amazing is, it's filled with variety you can imagine: egg tofu, sashimi, grilled fish, boiled dish and so on. Even for dessert, there's black coffee and coffee cake! Well, today I tried their lunch special, KIMCHI RAMEN, FRIED CHICKEN and CALIFORNIA ROLL. The fried chicken was the best. It was not tempura style, but the chicken was fresh and tasty. I didn't like kimchi ramen. Nice try, but too salty, and a meh. SUSHI was wrapped with avocado and crab sticks, I guess. Not bad either. I was a little disappointed today for their kimchi ramen, and knocked down one star. The service was not very prompt for some reason. Maybe lady's lunch is the only thing I would go to. read more

I would rate it a 5 star experience. I am a big sashimi lover. Sashimi is mostly judged by the cut and freshness of the fish. Chef did a great job at it. Definitely one the best Sushi places in Alpharetta. read more

There is a serious decline of quality. It is no longer worth the price I pay. The gyutan，beef tongue is too hard to chew. Not eatable. zero out of five. The gyudon's rice, beef and rice is soaked with too much juice, hurting texture of rice. this is fast food chain level gyudon. two out of five. the grilled octopus is too sweet. three out of five. Ramen is bad as well. Man, I cannot believe this is the same restaurant I dined before. It has become bad choice. Avoid this place if you have a taste for good Asian food. If you have to go, only order the grilled dishes. read more

New to the Alpharetta area and was craving sushi. This place only deliveries within a 4 mile radius (which we fell in) and boy 'o boy was it not a disappointment. I would highly recommend the Salmon Serrano & Double Shrimp roll. The food is of excellent quality - I'll be ordering from them again very soon. read more

A few friends and I came here after running some errands, and I was pleasantly surprised by their lunch specials. They of course have the typical sushi lunch specials like a roll and nigiri combo, but they also have items like the Ladies Lunch and Sake Saba. These were served in bento boxes with samplings of 7-9 small plates. My friend's Ladies Lunch looked the best. It came with grilled saba, chirashi, fried tofu, etc. The saba that came in hers was much better than mine, so I think they may use different cuts for different specials. Overall, the quality and deals here are great. read more

Yes, 100% yes. Got takeout for the first time today. Checked their health rating - an outstanding 100%! Everything was packaged for travel perfectly. The fish was fresh and delightful. My favorite ginger dressing - no mayo!!! - I LOVED it. Absolutely would order from here again. Order was delivered to the car by someone wearing a face mask too. read more

Simply outstanding service and delicious food! My wife and dined here for lunch for the first time. Everyone was wearing a mask and gloves. Yay! The table we were sat was recently sprayed with alcohol (the manager made and effort to show us) so we appreciated the cleanliness. We ordered two bowls of ramen and a spicy tuna roll. They provided a complementary salad which I wasn't expecting. The sushi was incredibly fresh but the ramen was the star of the show. The ramen had a wonderfully flavorful broth and what seems like freshly made noodles. This was definitely the best ramen I've had in Atlanta. The manager also provided a sample of their bluefin tuna sashimi which was another unexpected bonus. He even explained the differences between the different cuts and how he would top the roll with wasabi and ginger. The bluefin was buttery soft and delicious. This was simply one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever been to, not just because of the food but the folks running it are outstanding hosts. read more

Miso Soup, and the house salad were both very good, but the warm house sake was not ... disappointingly salty taste. The cucumber salad was nicely presented, but missing the vinegary tang. Our Sashimi Hana was excellent, but visually unappealing ... the fish pieces were buried in mounds of rice noodle. The assorted tempura was top notch. The final dish, Kushiyaki Set B, was a real disappointment. The temperature of the different skewers was inconsistent and several were not as tender was one would have hoped for. The sushi & tempura will motivate our return, but the sake will be a real inhibitor. read more

I was on the way back from work and I realized there's a Sushi place! I was so excited to try it because I have a huge craving for sushi. When I got there, we had no choice but to sit on the bar because the next booth available would've been a 15 minute wait. Our server was very attentive and she was very sweet. I got two sides of appetizer, calamari and takoyaki. They were pretty decent. After, I ordered two rolls of sushi; Orange Blossom and Volcano roll. I was a big fan of the orange blossom, 10/10! My sister ordered an orange blossom as well, and a caterpillar roll. The caterpillar roll was also good. Sadly, I did not like my volcano roll. I had better ones at other restaurants, but it wasn't good here. It barely had any flavor and it also made me feel a little nauseous. It felt a little over cooked, it wasn't for me. If I try it again, I'd definitely try a different roll other than the volcano. The other sushi wasn't as neat, but it still tasted good. Everything else was fine. Next time I would love to try some entrees and the soups. read more

Amazing quality sushi. I ordered the sushi deluxe. In terms of price, it's pretty much the same price as any other traditional sushi bar or restaurant you would go to. They have a very well accomodating sushi bar, as well as booth seating. The quality of the fish was amazing! Rice on the california roll liked to stick to other pieces, but the rice wasn't dried out or anything. Great balance of flavors. Salmon roe was my favorite piece. read more

Terribly disappointed. Ordered two sushi rolls, trying this place for the first time. Needed to substitute one item in one of the rolls (cream cheese instead of crabmeat because I am vegetarian). Not sure why this roll is listed under "vegetarian sushi" anyway. Regardless, I called the restaurant and spoke to someone named Haley before placing my order online. She was nice and I was assured that she would make sure it was done right and asked me to put the substitution instructions in all caps on my online order so that the chef would see this. When the order was picked up, lo and behold, it was wrong. And there was infact crabmeat in the roll. They remade it while I waited, but I am most disappointed with how sloppy of a job they did especially after messing up in the first place. The roll they remade is falling apart and looks hideous to say the least. See photo. Not happy at all with my experience. read more

Came here for lunch with a friend and was really impressed! The service was fast and attentive - they never let my water glass empty and checked on us multiple times Had the sashimi, sushi, tempura lunch box special (L42) for $14.99 that came with sashimi (2 pieces of tuna, yellow tail, and salmon), sushi (a tuna, a salmon, a shrimp, 4 pieces of California roll), warm, crispy tempura, 2 fried shrimp balls, white rice, miso soup, and salad with a delicious citrus ginger dressing. The fish quality was fresh and good. The tempura was hot and crispy but not greasy and dripping in oil. I really enjoyed the lunch and it was a great price! read more

Rice needs improvement! This place has an amazing menu and the service is always excellent. Overall very solid, albeit a bit expensive. The one thing holding Sushi Mito back is their quality of rice. For Japanese and all asians, how good the rice is determines how good the rest of the meal. Imagine having an amazing burger but on a stale bun. Same thing. The rice is mushy and doesn't compare to most other Asian restaurants at this level. read more

Love Sushi Mito. The owner and chefs remember us. It's not like we go every week but, they still remember us. The menu is diverse enough for any new people or when we bring our kids. Another great night at Mito! They had yellow eye snapper and it was amazing! read more

I used to come to this place fairly often before I moved away. Came back here for a lunch take out and I think it hasn't changed much other than the prices :/ Its a nicely decorated restaurant and seems always fairly busy so good to see business hasn't changed much. The teriyaki chicken bento I got was pretty standard, the sushi were fresh and pretty good. The chicken was a little hard I thought but over all was decent. At $11 for the entree lunch its hard to give it 4 stars so I've settled with 3. It was nice that they also have couple shumais included in the bento combo and they tasted fresh probably decently steamed. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a good Japanese sit down place around here, the other choice would usually be Sushi Yoko but its more crowded and farther away from Northeast Atlanta read more

I have not ever...ever...ever... had a bad experience here! Living in Atlanta while on business for the last year and a half.. I fell in love with this establishment, and their waitstaff. I absolutely adored Christy and miss Daniel oh so much!! What didn't I get at Sushi Mito (other than the Udon-- damnit.. I'll have to try when I'm back in town)?? From the sake-zuke, the rolls.. the sashimi octopus and squid and nigiri.. I have loved it all. As other reviewers have stated.. the quality of their fish was always fresh and my to-go orders did not disappoint- It was as if I was eating it right at the bar when I got home and chowed down. I guess the only drawback I have were their rest room facility for women, of course. It seemed as though only one stall worked. That was an inconvenience and during more busy times and days, there was a wait. The improvements they made with the restaurant over the last couple of months helped however. Hubby and I visited this place for a simple date night. We made a reservation through yelp to get our own little private room in the back. I loved the intimacy and privacy we had. No judgement of how much I can eat :P Sushi MITO Izakaya Restaurant is a authentic Japanese restaurant, offering traditional Japanese fine dining and Izakaya style cuisine. Many native Japanese staff therefore you can enjoy the high quality Japanese food, manner, and hospitality. You can taste the top quality seasonal ingredients despite the big Izakaya menu. This is nice so you can enjoy the abundance of flavors, texture, etc on the menu. We order many different items (see pic) but the most memorable was the hamachi, it was exceptional. I will say the food is fairly traditional so Americans that have a palette like my husband may prefer places like Shoya where the flavor is more bold. I prefer the delicate flavor and textures offered here though. Price comparison also to its competitors this place I feel is slightly more affordable when considering portion size and quality. Overall I highly recommend! read more

Recommended by my boss at work. Price is reasonable, taste is great, restaurant atmosphere is nice, cannot complain. I went for a lunch so I'll try dinner in near future. I would like to try Shabu Shabu or Sukiyaki though. read more

One of the most authentic Japanese restaurants around. If you want rolls, loaded with sauces and everything that is not truly Japanese, don't come here. You'll get true Japanese food here. Everything from the soba to sashimi is wonderful! The place is very popular amongst the Japanese community and the surrounding community in general. If you're going during lunch with a large group, definitely call ahead. I try to have something different on the menu each time I go. It's such a flavorful experience. Enjoy the meal. Eat slow. I've never been to Japan, but if I had to guess, this is the most authentic it gets. I had the special for $12.50 which included the Chirashi Don, soup and salad, octopus salad, and the egg custard. You can't beat the price for the amount of food you get. The chirashi was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. I ate it with spicy mayo mixed in. Misleading menu on their website suggests sashimi offerings that are only available on weekdays. We selected this place based upon what they chose to display on their website, so if there are restricted offerings, would be helpful to state it clearly so that there are no disappointments. Food quality above average with good service. read more

Our group of eight decided to come here after we left another restaurant because one dish we ordered went bad and the other hygienic problems. It is very clean, the foods are very good. We ordered udon, ramen, soba, Lady's box, tendon, and beef teriyaki bento (my kid don't like the beef so much though, will try something else next time. However they really enjoyed the desert comes with the lady's box). The server is very nice, too. She brought us another piece of cake for our kids (we have three kids, but only ordered two lady's box that come with desert) After trying many different restaurants, my mom finally gives her approval, she really liked here, and enjoyed her meal. I am so happy that there is one restaurant she likes! Sushi Mito never disappoints me. Thumbs up! When my mom visits me next time, I will definitely choose Sushi Mito. Lol~~ read more

Came here with my friend for dinner. Ordered the Cool Japan Roll, Assorted Tempura Appetizer, Grilled Squid with Ginger, Spicy Scallop Nigiri, Spicy Geso, and Takoyaki. My favorite dishes today were the grilled squid, spicy Geso, and tempura. Normally I love the spicy scallop nigiri but I didn't care for it too much today. The Geso is crispy and nice topped with sriracha for a kick. Sushi Mito offers a variety of dishes and I've enjoyed it on several occasions and I've been here over a dozen time within the last year. It offers solid Japanese food to satisfy your cravings and it has a nice selection of small plate dishes, where you can mix and match depending on how your feel. I've been coming here for 15yrs.. that should tell you plenty! I've been to many sushi restaurants and this restaurant is top drawer! The staff are attentive, friendly, good fun and great conversationalists. The fish dishes are always fresh, well presented by the experienced staff prompted by top chef Koji. The ambience, surroundings are updated regularly with the owner reinvesting wisely and not sparingly. They cater for anyone, any group with efficiency and I can't speak highly enough of every aspect of this restaurant except they close too early! Long may they reign, great work to all involved at this terrific venue. read more

So glad we tried this place! Our experience started out questionably when several parties were seated before us whose names were after ours on the wait list. Once seated we waited a while longer for service and get drinks, but that was ok by me since we had entertainment of the sushi bar chefs to watch... all that being said, the food was DEFINITELY worth the wait and we will be back soon! We ordered from a few different sections of the VERY impressive menu (all items have handy pictures to reference). -Tempura Udon Soba- first time trying Soba. Very good and Tempura shrimp/veggies on side were perfectly light and crispy -Miso Black Cod- amazing! A must order item! -Fried Softshell Crab- very good -Nigiri- all very fresh. Nightly special Horse Mackarel was our fav. -Sensuke (sp?) Roll- Really light and fresh tasting. Riceless roll wrapped in cucumber. I love that this little Japanese restaurant is just down the street from us! The sushi is fine, but the real star here is the traditional Japanese menu, which includes ramen, sukiyaki, katsu, udon -- even the teriyaki bento box is pretty terrific. I especially love that the menu includes pictures of pretty much every dish they serve, which has inspired my kids to order (and enjoy!) meals they never would have tried otherwise. The service is friendly and attentive, and even though it's often full of other people, the restaurant never feels crowded. We've had dinner dates here and big family parties of 20 people here, and it's been an enjoyable, delicious experience every time. read more

I really like this place and have been coming here for years. Both the food and staffs are great! The seating is great as well until it is changed recently. I went there last night and get seated in the new seating arrangments. The removal of the benches and new seating arrangement was one of the worst thing you can do. I can now eat my food looking at other people eating their food and I know how much they love having me watching them I am only giving one star to get the attention of the owner. Happy to change it back when the seating arrangement fixed. If you end up seating anywhere but the left section, you will probably enjoy your experience here. read more
