Citrus mayo was delicious!
Marissa L.

Second time here and they have a great menu to choose from. Ordered the jack in the box with real crab, loved the citrus mayo! Staff stopped by frequently. Would come again!

Eel Nigiri, Yellowtail, Toto, Octopus, and Tuna. And they have Nigori Sparkling Sake now! Yum!

Amazing as always. And new Sake choices for 2026! Great service as well. Highly recommended.

Back at our favorite sushi place! :) The food was fresh and delicious as usual, and the presentation made it even more appetizing! We came with our six months old baby, and the server gave us spacious seating so that we had enough room to place our stroller by us. He checked up on us several times to made sure we were comfortable.

(Left to right) Jack in the box, Vancouver and creamy oyster..not so creamy

Yall lied to me on these reviews! This was NOT good. We even tried the sake and it was so bitter that it tasted like hand sanitizer.. We ordered the Vancouver, jack in the box, and the creamy scallop sushi. It was so BAD. The only okay one was the jack in the box. The "creamy scallop" was not creamy and was drenched in taptio hot sauce and the scallops were so over cooked that it was like dehydrated chicken. The Vancouver and Jack in the box were lacking actual sushi on top or in it. The rolls presentations were good but still, won't go back to try again. The place was cute inside and waiter was so nice! But had to leave an honest review. They wouldn't refund the "creamy scallop" one but had us pick another one so we picked "monkey crunch munch" and it was supposed to be smoked salmon, but it was smoked salmon from a package. Not an actual seared smoked salmon flavor. We spent $100 with tip and it was not worth it. Vancouver just seems to be missing the mark with food.

Paradise, Fresh Wasabi

Sushi Mo brings it every time! Best sushi in Vancouver. The fresh wasabi, presentation, and spaced seating brings me back every time. There's also plenty of natural lighting as well. Moderately priced for amazing quality, especially for the simple rolls. Lots of sake options, cider on tap, and Sapporo is served in a chilled glass. Service is non intrusive and anticipates needs before they appear! I appreciate the respectful nature the staff. The paradise roll and agedashi tofu are my top recommendations.

What fresh wasabi should be

The pictures on Yelp are accurate. Lots of unnecessary flourishes that detract from the taste. The yellow sauce drizzle is a citrus aioli but instead of elevating the dish, it managed to make every bite just taste bland. The sauce was dyed yellow and had so little notes of citrus that we asked the waitress if it was correct. We ordered the "fresh wasabi". I've provided a picture below of what we got (chopped frozen wasabi from a tube) and what fresh ground wasabi is. Probably should have realized that it wasn't going to be fresh at that price point but still felt a little disingenuous. Note the color of the spicy tuna. The only thing I can guess is red food coloring to "make it pop". The service was great. The hostess and waitress were attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the softballs like tempura and the spicy edamame. But for the cost, I'd unfortunately recommend trying a different place.

Went here for lunch, I've only don't take out but I finally had the chance to dine in. We had one of the eel rolls and the katsu. The katsu was incredibly crispy and delicious, it was served with a ton katsu sauce, which is on the sweet side I would prefer a bit more spice. It said it came with steamed vegetables which consisted of 2 pieces of broccoli and 2 small pieces of carrot, miso soup and salad (which we did not receive) I feel it could have had some more for the price. The roll was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. Their rolls are pricey, but high quality. The space is nice and big and service was great. I will definitely be back, mostly due to location, speedy service and high quality.

$18 toro nigiri - partially frozen
Autumn A.

Came here for lunch this past weekend. They were having a lunch happy hour which was 20% off rolls. Their prices are pretty steep so it ended up being the cost of normal sushi. Ordered the 1012 and the salmon tataki rolls along with an order of toro nigiri. Both the rolls were OK, one of them had a mustard like sauce that wasn't described on the menu, it was all over the roll and I think it took away from the flavors. For the price I thought there would be a decent amount of fish on each roll but the piece barley covered the top, didn't fold over the sides and was very thin. The toro was good, $18 for 2 pieces of nigiri which was a lot but I get that it's a sought after fish.. the presentation was great but unfortunately the fish we were served was borderline frozen. I felt the ice crunching in my mouth, the flavor was good once it warmed up but it was a letdown that it was icy.

Starting at top left: Volcano, Wild Fire, Albacore Tataki, and Hawaiian rolls.

Outstanding! Nice ambiance, FAST friendly service, and delicious sushi very artisically presented. Only thing that was a turn-off was to find a $2 charge on our check for a tiny ramekin of a Sriracha-type of hot sauce. ‍

This is hands down the best sushi spot in the Portland metro area. Let's be honest: most sushi places don't get it right, often serving rolls smeared in sauces tailored to the Western palate. Not this place, tho. Their nigiri is top-notch, with just the right thickness of fish and the perfect amount of vinegar in the rice. Don't get me wrong--their rolls are amazing too, thanks to the fresh, high-quality fish they use. There's a saying where I'm from: you can tell it's a really good Japanese restaurant if they know how to fry tempura. These guys definitely know how to fry tempura! From a die-hard sushi lover like me to a casual Japanese cuisine enthusiast, I highly recommend this place.

I have been waiting for this place to open since following along with their tiktok account back in…read moreFebruary. Located within Softea which is owned by her brother. A very unique concept. The stations/steps are clearly marked. I chose the cheese ramen & picked a bunch of toppings. The cheese ramen ones have less broth so you have to make sure you hit the correct button for it. I also picked a ramen drink by the register. There are also more drinks towards the back as well. There is some seating in there & looks like you can also sit in the softea area as well. Just make sure you go back to Minari to throw your trash away. I really liked my ramen & the toppings I chose. All trash is sorted in different bins, so make sure you read them. Overall really cool, I'd go back to try a different ramen.

I keep seeing this place pop up on IG and finally made it just a little before noon on a Saturday…read more There was a lot of construction downtown Vancouver so this place was a little hard to find. They were in the same building as Softea and their sign was hidden behind that. I'm hoping once all the construction is done they will be easier to find/access for everyone! They have a sign right before you enter the space with clear instructions. I really appreciated the preview. It's a small space - you can basically see the whole place standing at the entrance. They had clear neon signs for the steps you need to follow so that was super helpful. Of course you start at the ramen wall picking your sodium of day (lol) and so nice of them to categorize them by popular, hot, medium, mild. Each ramen were priced a little below or above $6-7 and the toppings were between $1-4 ranging from egg, kimchi, dumplings and the iconic fish cake swirls. You then get your drink, snacks, and utensils and pay for it at the register. The ladies there were incredibly friendly and even gave us some grand opening totes and of course my daughter loved the free chicken stickers. They also let you know which setting to cook your ramen in at the register. They actually had a good amount of seating for such a small space. It got really busy when we were leaving at the peak of Saturday lunch so they had to control the people traffic flow. Of course the fun part was using the machine and watching the ramen cook in action. Again the instructions were clear on the wall and there were free fried onions, sesame seeds, and various hot sauce for the free seasonings bar. While I'm sure the fans on the top helped cool it down, the ramen were all very hot when we brought it to the table. There was something nostalgic about eating a steaming bowl of instant ramen and it was so cool to mix and match the toppings to our heats' desire. They just opened on Memorial Day weekend so I want to give grace for them still working out the kinks such as no high chair or to go containers (but maybe that was intentional as it would not be good for leftovers?) Either way, I wish this business lots of success and we will be back to take photos in the fun Photo Booth!

ONE STAR?? Hilarious that i got on here and the entitled out of towners are on here giving a one…read morestar. I love obon. The udon noodles are heavenly. The broth is nourishing. The onigiri is art. And the service is always polite and professional. Always. I was physically at the restaurant the night these one star people were there. From what I could tell sitting at the bar and observing the ID in question, it looked fliiiimssy even from where I was sitting. I kinda get both sides ya know , sure one person in the group wants a drink w dinner but dude just tough it out and have your dinner. Instead they popped off and all started fussing and being entitled and it was just gross. I was enjoying a fantastic dinner but that table was like trying to take the stage. I think they ended up storming out and one girl like stomped off and said she was keeping her cup !! lol I worked in food a long time ago. And I've worked in cannabis under the watchful eye of the olcc so I'm on the servers side. Don't take chances and don't listen to these kids scramble for a secondary ID. Sketch. Go to obon. Get the Sando. Enjoy.

This was one of the most humiliating dining experiences I have ever had…read more We chose this spot for a friend's final night in Portland. She had recommended it, was excited to share it with us. There was no single incident that explains what happened. Instead, it was a series of interactions that became increasingly dismissive, hostile, and ultimately humiliating. The first moment that gave us pause came when my friend's ID was returned so carelessly that it landed on the floor. The server then walked away without explanation, only to return and inform us she would not be serving us drinks. Being denied a drink was never the issue, though the manner in which it was handled felt abrupt and unwarranted. When we attempted to understand the concern, there was no effort to communicate, clarify, or review the additional identification we had available, including a passport. Instead, the interaction became increasingly adversarial. We were told we could cause the restaurant to lose its liquor license and were ultimately instructed to leave. At that point, it no longer felt like a conversation about identification. It felt like a complete breakdown in professionalism and basic respect. Before leaving, my friend calmly asked to speak with someone in charge. She was visibly upset, holding back tears, but remained composed throughout the interaction. Rather than attempting to understand or de-escalate the situation, another staff member escalated it further, becoming confrontational and referring to her as a "bish." I have worked in food service and understand that mistakes happen. Portland has no shortage of exceptional restaurants. I would spend my time and money elsewhere. 0/5
