Second time here and they have a great menu to choose from. Ordered the jack in the box with real crab, loved the citrus mayo! Staff stopped by frequently. Would come again!

Back at our favorite sushi place! :) The food was fresh and delicious as usual, and the presentation made it even more appetizing! We came with our six months old baby, and the server gave us spacious seating so that we had enough room to place our stroller by us. He checked up on us several times to made sure we were comfortable.

Yall lied to me on these reviews! This was NOT good. We even tried the sake and it was so bitter that it tasted like hand sanitizer.. We ordered the Vancouver, jack in the box, and the creamy scallop sushi. It was so BAD. The only okay one was the jack in the box. The "creamy scallop" was not creamy and was drenched in taptio hot sauce and the scallops were so over cooked that it was like dehydrated chicken. The Vancouver and Jack in the box were lacking actual sushi on top or in it. The rolls presentations were good but still, won't go back to try again. The place was cute inside and waiter was so nice! But had to leave an honest review. They wouldn't refund the "creamy scallop" one but had us pick another one so we picked "monkey crunch munch" and it was supposed to be smoked salmon, but it was smoked salmon from a package. Not an actual seared smoked salmon flavor. We spent $100 with tip and it was not worth it. Vancouver just seems to be missing the mark with food.

Sushi Mo brings it every time! Best sushi in Vancouver. The fresh wasabi, presentation, and spaced seating brings me back every time. There's also plenty of natural lighting as well. Moderately priced for amazing quality, especially for the simple rolls. Lots of sake options, cider on tap, and Sapporo is served in a chilled glass. Service is non intrusive and anticipates needs before they appear! I appreciate the respectful nature the staff. The paradise roll and agedashi tofu are my top recommendations.

The pictures on Yelp are accurate. Lots of unnecessary flourishes that detract from the taste. The yellow sauce drizzle is a citrus aioli but instead of elevating the dish, it managed to make every bite just taste bland. The sauce was dyed yellow and had so little notes of citrus that we asked the waitress if it was correct. We ordered the "fresh wasabi". I've provided a picture below of what we got (chopped frozen wasabi from a tube) and what fresh ground wasabi is. Probably should have realized that it wasn't going to be fresh at that price point but still felt a little disingenuous. Note the color of the spicy tuna. The only thing I can guess is red food coloring to "make it pop". The service was great. The hostess and waitress were attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the softballs like tempura and the spicy edamame. But for the cost, I'd unfortunately recommend trying a different place.

Went here for lunch, I've only don't take out but I finally had the chance to dine in. We had one of the eel rolls and the katsu. The katsu was incredibly crispy and delicious, it was served with a ton katsu sauce, which is on the sweet side I would prefer a bit more spice. It said it came with steamed vegetables which consisted of 2 pieces of broccoli and 2 small pieces of carrot, miso soup and salad (which we did not receive) I feel it could have had some more for the price. The roll was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. Their rolls are pricey, but high quality. The space is nice and big and service was great. I will definitely be back, mostly due to location, speedy service and high quality.

Came here for lunch this past weekend. They were having a lunch happy hour which was 20% off rolls. Their prices are pretty steep so it ended up being the cost of normal sushi. Ordered the 1012 and the salmon tataki rolls along with an order of toro nigiri. Both the rolls were OK, one of them had a mustard like sauce that wasn't described on the menu, it was all over the roll and I think it took away from the flavors. For the price I thought there would be a decent amount of fish on each roll but the piece barley covered the top, didn't fold over the sides and was very thin. The toro was good, $18 for 2 pieces of nigiri which was a lot but I get that it's a sought after fish.. the presentation was great but unfortunately the fish we were served was borderline frozen. I felt the ice crunching in my mouth, the flavor was good once it warmed up but it was a letdown that it was icy.

Outstanding! Nice ambiance, FAST friendly service, and delicious sushi very artisically presented. Only thing that was a turn-off was to find a $2 charge on our check for a tiny ramekin of a Sriracha-type of hot sauce. ‍

This is hands down the best sushi spot in the Portland metro area. Let's be honest: most sushi places don't get it right, often serving rolls smeared in sauces tailored to the Western palate. Not this place, tho. Their nigiri is top-notch, with just the right thickness of fish and the perfect amount of vinegar in the rice. Don't get me wrong--their rolls are amazing too, thanks to the fresh, high-quality fish they use. There's a saying where I'm from: you can tell it's a really good Japanese restaurant if they know how to fry tempura. These guys definitely know how to fry tempura! From a die-hard sushi lover like me to a casual Japanese cuisine enthusiast, I highly recommend this place.

1. Price : way overpriced for mediocre quality food. 2. Quality : let me start with their katsu. When you go to a Japanese restaurant, you expect some house-made sauce, secret recipe or better food than what you can make at home in general. They used bulldog katsu dipping sauce for their katsu. Do you know how I know that? Because I used to love that sauce so freakin' much and I drove to Tigard to get that from an Asian grocery store. I started laughing when I tasted the sauce. "Shoot! Are you serious? You just fried some pork and gave us store-bought sauce that I have in my fridge now?" It was $14 haha. Albacore delight, so far the worst special roll I have ever had. Nothing's special. Very bland. It's just a Cali roll with some raw fish inside and outside, oh! And some green onions that I couldn't even taste. Quality of albacore wasn't good either. My husband and I threw up bad after we got home. Miso soup which came with the katsu, nothing special. House salad that came with the katsu, too gingery and bland. I didn't like it. Uni nigiri, I loved them. It's $4/piece. Worth it. Fried calamari : for $9 LOL I'm just laughing. Just don't order it. I just saved your money. You will appreciate it. 3. Service : we were seated as soon as we got there and waited for someone to come over for water or something for 20mins. They weren't busy at all. The restaurant wasn't even full. So finally first waitress came over and asked what would we like to drink. And then.... Waiting waiting waiting.. Shoot.... I didn't know that it takes 30+ mins to make an uni nigiri. I even know how to make them. Waitresses are not all that good. Only the Asian waitress was nice and smiled all the time but others were awfully meh. 4. Overall : never coming back. If you haven't been, you are missing out. This place is awsome. Every time we have been there, Monica's makes us feel like family. She goes to every table to make sure your are happy. The chefs are off the hook. Fish is so fresh and flavor is on point. I have eaten sushi all over the US and Japan, Shush Mo's rocks. Love you guys read more

Submitted a great review for them before, but as a loyal customer, I still have to give them more props for being the best sushi in Vancouver (and Portland, for that matter). The owner is so hospitable, and as a customer, I can truly tell she takes pride in the food, service, and environment her team provides here at Sushi Mo. I can't say enough how happy I am that I've seen this place get busier and busier as the word travels around how great they are here. Just go to Sushi Mo. Love their raw sashimi and hotote nigiri sushi. We were impressed that they tasted fresh, worth the price tag. The house sushi roll was just okay. There wasn't enough filling inside the roll. Overall, good japanese food. Servers should pay more attention to refilling hot tea. read more

At these prices you are WAY better of going to Portland. The service was very sweet and personable, but our sever didn't have a very good understanding of the menu. The starter salad of iceberg with two pieces of cucumber was super lame. The sushi was not flavorful at all. We ordered an entree, 4 rolls and another plate, all so unmemorable I can't even name them. For $100 we should've gone to Bamboo in Portland. I don't know why we bother wasting our money eating out in Vancouver. read more

Great new sushi place in town! Food was wonderful! My only complaint was the caterpillar roll I ordered was a little bit soggy tasting. Or I would have given 5 stars. The staff was amazing and the owner too, very friendly. I noticed people complaining of it being too expensive. But on the menu they had expensive items as well as reasonably priced items. They even boxed up our leftovers for us when we finished. read more

I was visiting from San Francisco back in December and had some delicious food here, not to mention great service. The owner was extremely nice and attentive throughout the meal. She was also very apologetic about a 10-15 minute wait for dinner, which wasn't a problem for us at all. There was five of us and we had tempura, some skewers, katsu, and some of their special rolls. Everything was fresh and flavorful, on par with some of my favorite spots in San Francisco. I would definitely go back if I'm in the area again! read more

Closing Time Online- hours say they're open until 10:30 On the door- hours say they're open until 10:30 Show up at the restaurant at 9:50... closed We ask the guy at the door to confirm they were closed. His response is "yeah we aren't staying open tonight" and closes the door. If you advertise hours of operation, honor them. Won't be returning. read more

Creative sushi. Delicious and fresh! Fast service. Sort of friendly service...which is why I went with 4 stars instead of 5. We got katsu chicken, mackerel nigiri, jack in the box roll, fried asparagus albacore roll and the three Amigos roll. The starter salad and miso soup was fresh and delicious. Loved the asparagus roll...wish I remembered the name of the roll because it was crunchy cool and warm, my favorite. The mackerel's flavor just kept coming...wow! The Katsu was as expected and the other rolls were different but a nice change of pace from the typical sushi I have had around the Portland/Vancouver area i.e. volcano roll etc. Quaint atmosphere, newer and clean decor. Just finished dinner and it was amazing! Sockeye sashimi...yes please! Had Riesling, Kirin and pinot Gris and all were very good. Service was excellent and very friendly! The sushi, Alaskan, Hawaiian, dragon and three amigos were all top notch. Will be back! read more

Went to this restaurant based on the positive reviews on Yelp and was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. The sushi is not fresh and the rolls that we ordered were extremely tasteless. I think the hype might have been prior to some change in the kitchen. I eat a lot of Japanese food and this place is about a 2 out of 10 in terms of quality-price-servixe mix. I met a friend here for a late lunch on Saturday. I brought three hungry teenagers in tow. The staff explained they planned to close early due to a very busy lunch service and felt they wouldn't be able to provide the service to make our lunch enjoyable. I asked to come in and give it a chance. I'm so happy we did! I did note the soft opening note on the door which told me they are getting their legs. Of course service was slow but the staff was so accommodating and lovely the wait was worth it. They brought us edamame to calm our hunger without being asked. The food was delightful. The sushi was fresh and engaging. We will be going back often and supporting this new business. read more

They have great sales on meats, cheeses, cereal, crackers, chips and produce. I buy the majority of my groceries at Walmart because of their every day low prices, but frequent Safeway for sale items or items Walmart is out of stock on. They have 6 drive up and go spots right in front of the store. The employees are pretty quick at bringing groceries out and loading them where you want. They now offer to bag your groceries in bags you bring from home. You also have the choice to let them bag your groceries inside the store for 8 cents/bag. The parking lot and spaces are always clean and employees are constantly retrieving shopping carts and bringing them inside. Overall recommend this location.

I appreciate that Safeway does not have people further blocking by stocking everything at once like many stores do. So it was far easier to get around the store. Top notch produce also!

And I probably left ~$10 savings on the table by buying the brands I preferred. The store is never a mess and the people working here are consistently good. It feels like a "we're in this together" kind of environment where we want to buy groceries and the workers seem to want to facilitate that, and then everyone goes on with their lives. I can say for 100% certain that this is the least financially predatory supermarket I know of. Produce is the biggest example. When stuff is in season, you can tell they buy a ton of it and try to turn it over fast and cheap. Very good quality limes were $0.25 today. I don't even think bubble gum machines cost that much anymore. But I also worked in retail and can tell they do the same with dry goods as well. They look for good deals like we do, and instead of using some complex algorithm that gets their CEO an extra million, they just make sure they're making enough money, and if they are, they often give people the opportunity to buy stuff cheap. The loyalty programs at other stores will never earn my loyalty like a grocery store operating in a neighborly way will.

Medium rare didn't save them. Our child got the half pizza and demolished. For dessert we got the cookie with ice cream and the valentines special cheesecake. Both were delicious. Overall 3.5. Could use some help at front. If you don't realize you have that many free tables and could easily accommodate a paying customer the table they prefer, it just simply doesn't make sense. My son had the Bavarian feast which is a sampling of all different types of German food. His first time having German food and he loved it. My wife ordered the chicken schnitzel and she liked it a lot. I ordered the Hungarian Jäger Schnitzel and it was outstanding. Not to mention the cheese fondue with bread and sausage and it was a perfect evening with the family.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Mo, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I started my meal with the gyoza, which were absolutely delicious--perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with flavorful goodness. The vegetable roll was equally delightful, fresh and vibrant, a true testament to their quality ingredients. And let's not forget the miso soup; it was warm and comforting, just what I needed. Quality of Nigiri is below average. Purely a decorative dish, no substance. Went to this location based on the 4.5 reviews on Yelp and was disappointed. Price-point was on par with some of the higher-end Sushi restaurants in the Pearl District in Portland without the fresh sushi. The best sushi is Vancouver. The Evergreen roll is to die for. Date night at Sushi Mo happens more than a couple times a month. We are greeted at the door and walked out after our meal. The owner is the sweetest woman in all the land. read more
