Fresh and well prepared rolls, sushi, ramen and sashimi rice bowls. Friendly staff and efficient getting food/ orders to us. Plenty of indoor ( bit cold with air-con right at you ) dining but I think most customers ate outdoors located busy street. Good vibe. Parking is very limited so plan on that especially for dinner. Lots of people come to La Jolla just to watch the sunset.

Located a few minutes walk from La Jolla Shores, Sushi Mori offers casual indoor and outdoor seating. We stopped by for a spontaneous sushi lunch and ordered a couple of basic rolls to share which came with the standard soy sauce, wooden chopsticks and fresh ginger. Service was swift and friendly. My only beef was that the plastic water "glasses" were yellowed and old looking and should probably be replaced. Parking: Free nearby neighborhood street parking which could be tough in the summer months. Date of visit: December 2025. Helpful?

Why was the salad in the Bulgogi bento box the best/most flavorful part of it... the rice was very dry and stiff somehow. Fried batter had no type of seasoning. This was so bland and disappointing as a whole. Sushi roll almost made up for it. I guess if you're going to come here, come here for the rolls. Arnold Palmer is mostly lemonade and apple juice is bottled treetop Friendly but very slow service, we waited like 15 for them to take away the card and more to come back with it

Great sushi, great prices, and great service! Loved this place! Elle took fantastic care of us and was a pleasure to talk to.

This place has absolutely amazing food! Our server was so friendly and patient, we sat outside and still received great service. They have a lot to choose from on the menu, including extensive vegetarian/vegan rolls and options. I requested soy paper and the roll came out in the cutest pink wrapping! Highly recommend the avocado tempura appetizer, it was light and perfect to share with a wonderful dipping sauce. Definitely will be going back.

Amazing! The sushi was fresh, appealing and stellar flavors. Our server Elle was top notch and knew where each fish came from, how it was prepared and gave great suggestions. They have outside seating and inside and we chose outside on such a beautiful day and people watched. We also tried a new to is sake which was very good. If you are vacationing in La Jolla stop here for sure.

Steps away from La Jolla Shores, is this closed street full of restaurants and bars, and a spot we visited again was Sushi Mori! Everyone was so kind from the moment we got there! This is what we ordered: -sushi of the day $20 (as shown in the today's special deal) -unagi don $28 (first time ordering this and it was sooo good!) -chirashi $34 (got this last time and it still was just as amazing) -cherry blossom $18 (first time ordering this and it has spicy imitation crab, avocado, cucumber and on top is tuna, salmon, avocado with spicy mayo...would get this roll again!) Such a cute sushi date night spot that is intimate! Recommend going during sunset time to see the beautiful hues as it gets darker.

Go anywhere but here, unfortunately the Manager Dani is very rude and too busy to give you the time of day. Also if you have food allergies They can not accommodate and If you brought food of your own because they don't have food accommodations you're not going be allowed at the restaurant. I went with a party of 10 and was told to eat alone down the street even though we were all paying customers, seated outside. They even said because we ordered our food already that my party can't eat with me down the street.

My daughter pick of the day. We didn't quite get sushi but we sure did op in on other amazing tasting food on the menu. Our server was very kind & did a wonderful job hosting us, always check in on us & recommended great items . We decided to dine in their outdoor seating . Not a far walk from La Jolla beautiful beach. Out door seating was a very nice size & it accommodated our pup . Very clean area same with their rest rooms . It's a must try for sure if you get the chance to check them out! Tucked away beautiful gem. Chef did amazing on our food . (Pics for detail)

We ordered tonkatsu ramen, sorrento roll and lobster popcorn roll which were all tasty and fresh. For the ramen, definitely ask for the spicy paste. The broth is not as rich as I would like a ramen broth but it was still good and spice paste definitely improved it. It's not an uncomfortable type of spice so don't be afraid of it because it makes a huge difference: The service is friendly. They don't come around often so make sure you ask for everything you need when they do come around. The feel is casual and quiet which is nice especially if you're trying to have a conversation without having to yell over music or loud crowds.

Good, solid sushi in the La Jolla shores area! I ordered the Pink Roll, since you can never go wrong with spicy tuna and salmon. The seafood was fresh and good quality! I will say, they don't play around with spices, since their spicy tuna is actually spicy (compared to other restaurants). Cute little restaurant on this blocked off street, with patio seating. Service was quick and friendly.

Great sushi, we got the crunchy roll, spicy tuna roll, and spicy garlic edamame and they were all excellent!

After finishing the entertaining and riveting apocalyptic movie, we weren't sure where we were going to eat for dinner because our first restaurant choice Ramen Nagi closed at 9pm. My son's pahtner mentioned that the Ramen Nagi in San Jose had a last seating of 9pm, so we walked briskly to the restaurant and I learned that as long as you're in line before the closing time of 9pm, you'll get served. Three of the four members in our party talked glowingly about Ramen Nagi, so I was excited to grub here for the first time. After eating their Original King ramen, the chicken karaage, the gyoza, and receiving quality customer service, I wholeheartedly concur with my family's positive reviews and understand now why the restaurant was packed at closing time and why Ramen Nagi is highly rated with 4.4 stars and 738 reviews. Ramen Nagi is located within the shops of the University Towne Center (UTC) La Jolla mall. The restaurant is located towards the west end of the mall where you'll find Raised by Wolves, new spot Chef Fei, it's across from Katsuya Ko and Alo, and it's next door to Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. Parking is paid parking at the mall, but the first hour is free. There's bright indoor seating and minimally lit umbrella covered outdoor seating. Being the foodie that I am, I prefer indoor seating, so that the lighting would be conducive to seeing the food and taking pics. Look for the banners with Japanese verbiage and a large red lantern in front of Ramen Nagi. Adjacent to the outdoor seating, there's a water feature that gives off relaxing vibes. The customer service from all of the staff we interacted with was outstanding and is probably why it's such a popular eatery. To be completely transparent, I'm not a fan of having to make my food selections on the provided sheet of paper while waiting in line. I don't know if that's normal SOP and maybe it was because we were one of the last diners and they just wanted to speed along the process. I'd rather take my time, peruse their menu, and order what I desire. Luckily for me, my Pahtner had eaten at Ramen Nagi, so I just trusted her choices with a personalized deviation. What I ordered, through my wife's recommendations, was the following: Original King ramen flavor, normal strength of salt, normal richness in oil, normal garlic, chashu pork, green onions for vegetable, #4 for my spiciness, normal thin noodles, tamago (egg), and for appetizers, chicken karaage and gyoza. I felt rushed to pick my selections. For my spice level, #4 made me sweat, so be cautious when choosing spiciness unless you can handle a lot of spice. I really enjoyed the taste of the broth and the components I chose, but the chashu was not as tender as I would have liked. The ramen was a satisfying bowl that I consumed delightfully. Make sure to order both the chicken karaage and gyoza. The karaage was succulent, tasty, and would have eaten well with white rice. The gyoza was unique as it came out not looking like the dumplings I'm accustomed to. It came out flat and covered in a crunchy texture. That too was memorable and yummy. My family and I had quality time enjoying The Dog Stars and dining at Ramen Nagi. I understand now why my family recommended eating here and now I recommend everyone try out this delish ramen restaurant.

FOOD: 9.8/10 What we ordered: Chicken Karaage | 9.5/10 When you first bite into it, you are met with a mildly sweet soy bbq sauce paired with a crunchy fried exterior, the batter shatters into crumbly bits that add a light crunch. My only note is that it could be crunchier, but idk I'm just a crunch fiend Classic Tokyo Shoyu Ramen | 10/10 Every single bite of this ramen was insanely full of flavor and the texture of each ingredient was perfect. -- Standout ramen ingredients: the Noodles were the perfect level of al dente for me and the deep umami flavor of the broth clung onto the noodles nicely. the Chashu had this sweet char-grilled flavor and my jaw actually dropped after the first bite. The marbling of the fat was a good ratio which made the meat soft and juicy. It melded really well with the broth that was infused with a rich sesame oil aroma. And then every bite after still blew our minds. the Broth had a deep flavor with a sesame aroma that coated the tongue and clung to the noodles. It came with black pepper garnish that added just enough brightness to the soup. I enjoyed how the broth was not too salty yet every sip was so rich. I finished all of the soup down to the last drop! The ramen is rich, flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with a lot of care. Every time I come, I'm reminded why I'm willing to make the drive just for this place. There are plenty of restaurants closer to home, but very few that can make me say, "Yeah, I'm getting in the car and driving all the way here for this." What makes RakiRaki even more special, though, is the service and hospitality. I've had the opportunity to meet the owner numerous times, and every interaction has been fantastic. He consistently goes above and beyond to make sure we're taken care of and that we have the best experience possible. That kind of personal attention is rare these days and really says a lot about the people behind the restaurant. You can tell this isn't just a business--it's something they genuinely care about. The food, the atmosphere, and especially the hospitality all come together to make RakiRaki a place I'm always happy to return to.
