My friend highly recommended this place so we went there for dinner on a Wednesday. My friend had already ordered food before I got there so I can't remember everything I got, but I can tell you that they have a HUGE menu! It's kind of overwhelming how big it is and how many options they have. I will say, everything we ordered was SO delicious!!! Their service was spectacular and the food came out so quickly. I can't wait to go back and try other stuff from there. Their presentation was also really good, truly ""drool-worthy

Nice sushi spot downtown! Lots of seating and service can take a bit longer on a busy day. The chopped scallop roll was so good cause they put extra scallop on top. The tempura was also light, crispy and fresh. Everything was overall really good

Love this place!! Tons of creative and unique sushi rolls to choose from and the price is reasonable! I believe there's a discount if you order for pick up too. We got to eat on the patio which is rare for a sushi spot. Looking forward to trying more from here. These 3 rolls came to $47 including tax and the two of us were very full.

Pretty good spot for sushi takeaway and it's a good deal for a party tray if you're ordering for multiple people. You can order directly online from the store instead of through third party sites like door dash and it'll be cheaper!

Quite possibly one of the best sushi places I have EVER been to. It helps that Vancouver is known for having amazing sushi, but even without that title, this place really stood out for me in all the best possible ways. The menu here is HUGE, and it's not just sushi you can find here. They also have delicious bento boxes, katsu, and so much more. I ordered their beef teriyaki bento box for lunch, as well as a few sushi rolls and was really impressed with how fresh all the food tasted. Prices were also quite reasonable. The restaurant is also kept well clean. I noticed that the staff here thoroughly wiped every table and seat. The washroom was also very clean, so this gave me a sense of peace over how meticulous the staff are with ensuring you have a great dining experience here. The staff are very friendly and sweet, too! I will definitely return here the next time I am in Vancouver.

    Amazing spider roll.

Excellent food and service. Moderately quiet. Waitress was attentive and sushi was amazing. Some of the most beautiful presentation ever!

Great spot for sushi downtown. Service is quick and there are seats downstairs and upstairs. I enjoyed the negitoro roll and the salmon Aburi. The presentation is really cool with the flame!

We had a good time here. We ordered a lot and pretty much everything was good. Ambiance is great. Service is good. They have this tuna bucket which seemed like it was made way in advance and the tuna marinated in acid had lost all its texture and was a mushy dish which was inedible. That makes me remove a star. Other than that I liked everything else. Not sure if it was a bad day or that's how they serve it. This was also the most expensive dish so it hurt a bit.

Amazing service, really nice interior and extensive menu! Ordered the spicy salmon roll and Alaska rolls and both were super fresh! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for tasty sushi on Davie st!

Gyoza spicy in back and non spicy in the front. Go for the non spicy!

The food was a bit sweet for my profile and it was everything. It's not a bad place for dinner or lunch if you tend towards a sweeter palate. We got the oshi spicy tuna, soft shell crab, yakisoba, udon and don buri chicken katsu. We also had the triple spicy role and gyoza spicy and none. We went with a big group are we're super hungry! I like the ambiance that they had an upstairs that overlooked the street. Cute casual place! The servers were very nice. Overall I didn't love the sweet flavor in everything except the udon.

Picked up takeout dinner from here recently and thought it was pretty good. I called in around 4:15 pm on a Thu afternoon and placed my order, and was told my order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I got there 10 minutes later and it was ready for pick up! The restaurant itself is small and doesn't have too many tables. To my surprised, there were 3-4 tables seated already for an early weekday dinner at 4:30 pm, so I assume this place gets popular later in the night. I ordered the salmon oshi roll ($14.95), California roll ($4.95), and two pieces of chopped scallop nigiri ($2.75 each). The California roll and chopped scallop roll were pretty good and I enjoyed them, but the salmon oshi roll had too much rice compared to the thin piece of salmon on top. Also, there was something sweet in the salmon oshi roll I didn't like, perhaps the yam? I'm not used to the sweet flavor so it came across as a bit odd. I'd come back again if I was in the area but would stay away from the salmon oshi roll.

Food was amazing!! I went with a few friends and we all enjoyed the food. Service was good and food came really fast. It was a little crowded, but we could still hear each other.

This place is awesome! I'm a huge sushi lover, and this is some of the best I've found in Vancouver. The sashimi salad was amazing, and the red prawn roll is a must-try. The miso soup was also spot on. I've also ordered their Salmon Teriyaki through a food delivery app, and it was really great! They were super helpful with my peanut allergy. I didn't have any issues --there didn't seem to be any peanuts used in their kitchen which was a relief. The spot is pretty small, so it's perfect for a date or solo lunch/dinner. I didn't see many bigger tables for larger groups, but it would be a great place to sit outside in the summer, I think the outside tables seat 4. Totally recommend trying this place out!

I also appreciate seeing where my place in line is through Yelp! First, a shoutout to the wonderful service here. Everywhere I go in Vancouver the service is great, but the server here was so friendly, helpful and efficient. The ambiance is really nice here and I love the place settings! We had a lot, so here is my breakdown: Spicy Agedashi Tofu - lightly fried tofu in a sauce that reminded me of gochuchang sauce. 7/10 Gyoza - crispy fried with a pork/veggie filling. 6/10 Karaage chicken - on the bone, but delicious nonetheless. Served with a mayo sauce. 7/10 Tuna Bomb - 10/10 this came out last because it takes longer to make. This is an absolute must-do. Crispy rice patties with a spicy tuna spread that you just place on the rice. Salmon jalapeno aburi hako - 10/10 I have been excited about this since I heard about it. The seared salmon on top of rice with a shrimp tempura running through the middle. The salmon and sauce on top melt in your mouth. Red Dynamite Roll - 9/10 this was my brother's favorite. I wanted it to be a bit spicier, but that said it's still so amazing. Mango Flower Roll - 9/10 if you like mango then you will love this. This also just melts in your mouth and that mango is just so fresh. California roll - 8/10 as great as a California roll can be! No complaints here! Rainbow Roll - I didn't get to try it, but my niece gave it a 10/10! I will definitely be coming back here again.

I counted maybe 36 seats. The interior is nice but generic enough to be just about any type of restaurant. The menu accessed via QR code. I ended up trying the following: - Assorted Tempura: Good. Light batter, but slightly overbrowned. - Miso Black Cod: Good. More elaborate presentation than most, but very small piece. - Salmon Belly Sashimi: Very good. Fresh and delicious. - Tom Special Roll Tray: Very good. A great way to sample all the different roll, all which are very good. I thought it was reasonably priced and could adequately feed 4 people. Service was very good. There are a LOT of staff, so we were constantly being checked on to make sure we were happy and got anything we needed. Overall a good meal. It doesn't classify as the best sushi in Vancouver, but I can see the quality-value ratio might be the best in the city. All the food was quite good and certainly not overpriced. I imagine the high staff count was due to the overwhelming amount of takeout orders. I would return.

Our wait staff were friendly and on point. They were considerate about answering our questions about the food and food allergies. I ordered the chicken thigh katsu ($26 Can) and my hubs got the chicken thigh curry ($28.50 Can). No dairy involved in either dish which I was happy about because I have challenges digesting milk protein. Yes, it's kinda pricey. Yes, it's totally worth it. The katsu is light, crispy, fried perfectly, not greasy, and comes with unlimited rice, miso soup, finely chopped cabbage salad, and an addictively delicious sesame dressing. My hubs' curry sauce was served on the side so he could pour out as much or as little as he wanted. All in all, it was a very pleasant and satisfying meal. Saku is top notch for katsu. Okeya Kyujiro is a Michelin one-star theatrical omakase restaurant, and when they say theatrical, they mean it! From the moment you're welcomed by smiling ushers in kimono to the closing tea ceremony, every movement feels intentional, precise, and elevated. The ambiance is serene and anticipatory. At the start, guests sit in silence as a black screen conceals the chefs. You see their shadows moving behind it. A bell rings, the screen lifts, and the performance begins. Dinner is a 25+ course experience priced at $325 per person. It's undeniably a splurge, but for a milestone celebration, it feels justified. The menu is seafood-forward, with many ingredients flown in from Japan. Each ingredient is presented before preparation, then carefully assembled and served directly from chef to guest. Courses arrive one by one, never rushed. The service team moves seamlessly in the background, refilling water and attending to drinks (available as an add-on) without disrupting the flow. The finale is a matcha ceremony, whisked in front of you with the same quiet precision that defines the evening. When the final sip is taken, the bell chimes once more, the chefs and staff bow, and the screens close. It was a beautifully choreographed dining experience, perfect for marking a special moment, and one I'd gladly return to for the next celebration.

It then follows by 8 nigiri sushi with brown rice - really like the texture and (small) portion of rice with each nigiri. Fresh ingredients. I asked for low sodium option however the first few nigiri is a bit too salty and I have notified the server so the chef can adjust immediately. I enjoy the Hokkaido uni nigiri the last smoked fish nigiri the most. The fresh crab and salmon roe rice and beef soba noodles at the end have a nice touch of finesse. There are a number of birthday celebrations and they asked for names to acknowledge and celebrate the birthdays. A little musical piano "performance" for the happy birthday song. Matcha green tea is served at the end to wrap up the omakase. Overall an enjoyable experience but not necessarily impressive as a Michelin 1 star restaurant.
