Best sushi I've ever had. I am going to show photos however that is not even the best part. This is a very tight knit family owned business. The mother is a hard worker, father is the best chef, daughter great server, husband an amazing do it all kinda guy, and lastly the aunt is just an amazing personality. I won't lie, I walked in expecting grocery store quality sushi. Sat at this man bar and asked him to go off, be creative, serve us whatever you like. Love doing this by the way. I have a lot of respect for chefs that accept this challenge. This man went off! This first roll was so scrumptious. Then he broke out this roll in a boat and I about died. The presentation alone has me grabbing for my phone. Anxiety set in when I noticed I only had 2% battery. Just enough to get a photo. Very clean small restaurant. We had the Korean ribs, Amigo roll and an order of spicy edamame. It also came with miso and the ribs came with a salad and rice. Everything was pretty good and tasted fresh. I felt the ribs were a tad overpriced and the roll a bit small. I was excited to try this restaurant based on the reviews. I've visited sushi restaurants all over the country, so wanted to try something in Phoenix area. This was definitely a subpar experience. Here's a few examples: 1) Didn't have Nigori sake. Had a replacement, but not the same. 2) I was excited to see kani (crab) on the menu. Unfortunately, it was was imitation crab. 3) The spicy scallop hand roll, was literally inedible. Have a couple other examples, but you get my point. I really don't know why this place had such high ratings. Wish it had been better. On a positive note, staff was nice and my kids liked the soup and fried rice. read more

Well as fresh as you can get for sushi in Arizona. Scallop sushi was great, just the right amount of spice. Rice was excellent. The Chirashi arrived on a bed of rice which was different than the lettuce/salad looking thing I saw in pictures which was slightly disappointing but still good. I probably won't order that again.
