That sushi chef is a raw-ckstar. Sea-riously, sushi is all I need! We came on a Saturday when my friend was craving sushi and an assortment of rolls were had. My favorites were the Palm Springs Roll (Tempura shrimp, spicy tuna, and cream cheese. Wrapped in soy paper and lettuce. Topped with spicy salmon, crab mix, and tempura flakes. Finished with a sweet & spicy sauce) and the K.D. Wasabi Roll (Salmon, avocado, and cucumber. Topped with seared Tuna, chopped cilantro, wasabi mayo, and wasabi tobiko). My friend is a fan of this place and I'm glad he recommended this place. Each bite was delicious and the service was amazing. I wouldn't mind popping by again.

We were there for about 20-25 minutes total and got some cokes about 5 minutes in. After that the owner welcomed lots of regulars cheerfully smoozing with them and seating them. Mind you this is a small restaurant and we were dead in the middle. I asked if we could order and at one point she told me to give her a minute. After sitting there for 25 minutes i was DONE. My husband asked for the check for the drinks and proceeded to get that check quickly. We paid $10 for 2 cokes and left. When we were walking out at about the 35 minutes mark the owner came over... WOW... we went to Bonchon next door and had a great time.

My friend spoke so highly of this place so I visited. Nothing bad about this place but nothing so special about this place neither. Galbi was too sweet and overcooked, the cucumber peel was too thick for the cucumber wrapped sushi, some of the sashimi on sashimi combo were prepped too long - fish was bit dry. The server was very nice and chatty. Brought everything we needed promptly. Place is quite cozy and almost feel like izalaya as well.

If you browse the Raising Cane's website, you will find that they serve "the most craveable chicken…read morefinger meals" and that it's their "one love." It turns out they are right as every time I go to Raising Cane's, their chicken fingers and sauce are indeed the most craveable chicken fingers I can recall over the years. This is the Raising Cane's location closest to where I work, and I have enjoyed meals many times at this location. The service is also great and the food comes out very quickly and is very tasty. This location often sponsors and does business with Arizona State University as ASU is right around the corner. They have five combo options. My regular pick of combo meals is the 3 Finger Combo, consisting of three chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Cane's sauce, Texas toast, and a regular fountain drink or tea. If I was even more hungry or prepared to share, I may have chosen the larger combos like the Box Combo (an extra chicken finger and coleslaw) or the Caniac Combo (six total chicken fingers, two sauces, coleslaw, fries, Texas toast, and a drink). They also have the Sandwich Combo and the Kids Combo. They also have tailgate options and extras (add-ons). I absolutely adore their lemonade with their small crushed ice, too. You should also check out the Caniac Club at https://www.raisingcanes.com/caniac-club. By signing up, you will get insider information on what's going on at Raising Cane's and receive benefits and surprises including birthday and member anniversary treats or occasional free fingers or BOGO deals during certain holidays. Raising Cane's also does so much for the community and has fun giveaways every now and then. I once entered and won a behind the scenes experience at the Arizona Diamondbacks put on by Raising Cane's. I also once grabbed Raising Cane's at the March Madness tournament and won a national sweepstakes that included a wonderful gift basket and a gift card that kept me going for quite some time. While I try not to get it too often any more, going to Raising Cane's is always a treat and something special every now and then. I strongly recommend it for craveworthy chicken fingers and sauce!

I am not going to reach out, but again, the effort speaks volumes. Bravo! Look, at this point, it must be me.... I'm not quite sure. I specifically went with a box combo because I didn't want to deal with a swap on the 3 finger combo... I also decided not to give a $20+$2+$.96 just because I wanted a $10 back... you know? Math. I decided on the $20+$.96 for the even $8. Ok... get my drink, so far so good. Then I get my meal and inquiry as to whether I got my drink. Yes, but not my change. No dispute just a few extra minutes added, my bad for paying cash.... I get home and while I am stoked about 5 chicken pieces in my 4 piece combom, I am devastated about 2 toasts. My least enjoyable part of the meal.... it HAS to be me right? I mean, I made no substitutions, I tried to avoid all possibility of issue... and so, 2 toasts... guess I'll sandwich up my extra strip.

There is plenty of bar space if you're popping in for a drink.. of course, the actual bar that runs along the shelves of liquor, and there is also a bar on the other side of a roll-up door, perfect for people who come with dogs. There's also a bar space that runs along the window that separates the small dining room and the patio. There are a few tables inside as well as some bigger tables on the patio. The patio is nice with lots of shrubs right outside the rail. The murals on the wall are pretty darn cool - - they're like enlarged historic photos of the area. I love them! And I'm not sure who's giant face is hanging on the ceiling but it's short a spark conversation. The menu here has a little something for everyone. There's the regular loaded fries and wings, salads, and a nice election burgers. We ordered the Philly Salad and the Very Summer Salad with a side order of fries. They make their own ranch, and it is good. I will say they don't seem to skim on salad ingredients either - - the Philly salad was covered with shaved beef, and my berry salad had a lot of chicken and tons of blue cheese. The fries were delicious - - slightly seasoned and crispy. This place is clearly dog friendly. In fact the day we went there was a sweet Pitbull named Daisy who literally hopped up on a bar stool and sat there like a little angel the entire time. The bar had a dog full of water that they sat down on the counter next to her owner's beer. They also have dog biscuits to give. It made my day to see that sweet little dog hanging at the bar having a treat. This really is kind of a spot that feels like it's probably the hangout spot of many people. Great bar food and a good selection of beers. What's not to love?

Cocktails were made well, I'd come back and try others. Our friends suggested The Hudson which worked for me, it's been sitting on my list for a while. Bar food was pretty good. Next time I'll try a burger since people like them a lot in reviews, and I love a good burger. This visit we had the carne asada cheesesteak with some onion rings and boneless wings. Both items were good. I think for me, 4 stars seems right since there's an element of having to order at the bar and then come back up if anything is needed. Making it feel somewhat self service but I'm sure we tipped like full service. And at first we were trying to figure out the menu, where to order, and apparently we had a learning curve that night. Brains were tired. We sat outside with the misters at night. That was totally fine. It wasn't one of the nasty hot days.
