One of my friends and I wanted to try a new AYCE sushi place and stumbled upon this one on Instagram. It didn't disappoint! Granted we were the second table there, they made everything pretty quickly and a timely manner. I don't remember all the rolls we got, but the nigiri was fresh & delicious! For dessert, the tempura banana was a tad disappointing. I get wanting to put whipped cream on top, but it just melted so fast and made it soggy with the chocolate sauce. read more

Great all you can eat option! I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the service was great. Our servers name was Tata and she was so sweet and absolutely great. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated their flexibility with the different rolls and accommodating my dietary needs. Best vegetarian options I've come across! Absolutely delicious and so fun! If you're in the mood for AYCE sushi, this is a great place to check out. If you've been to Koi Sushi, it's pretty comparable in terms of prices, quality and presentation. The fish quality here is great and so is service. I wouldn't recommend the tamago since it had a weird texture and the virgin pina colada/ mango smoothie since it was too icy but overall had a great meal here. read more

Tried out Sushi Nova tonight for dinner and it was great all around. It's an AYCE Sushi joint with plentiful of options from Nigiri, Signature Rolls, Sashimis, and your favorite appetizers. My favorite was the Tuna Tartare from the Chefs Favorite. The Nigiri was great too. More fish than rice ratio. I find it awesome when you can find an AYCE Sushi place that gives sashimi as well when you order their signature rolls. The service was great. My appetizers came out so fast. The green turtle roll was my favorite . All the shrimp tempura rolls were great.Plenty of seating here and it's well lit and seating spaced out. Parking can be a little difficult, but parking on Clark is definitely the best option here. Definitely will come back in the future! Great addition to the AYCE Sushi Chicago scene! read more

We did the AYCE here and really enjoyed it! There are a growing number of AYCE sushi restaurants in the neighborhood, and this might be my new favorite. The freshness of the fish is on par if not a little better than their competitors. I think the roll options are slightly better at Koi, but I like some of their other unique options here (e.g., tuna avocado tartare). They also allow you to order sashimi (3 pieces for every roll) and carpaccio (one per person). read more

Take out order was missing two pieces paid for. The Rainbow rolls very small (circumference) and two toppings of avacado...should be one of each of it and the fish. The Chicago roll was mostly rice very light on filling. The Salmon nigiri was not all that good quality (ok, but) and the actual pieces of all the nigiri I ordered (as I waited 20 min for 3 rolls and 10pcs) were quite thin as well, and short and not wide..2/3rds the size of the other surrounding services...the prices weren't 2/3rds the cost. Wont go back...just not worth it. read more

Food was great but service was really disappointing. Our server mentioned it was only his second day working which is usually ok but we quickly realized he may have not been trained. - a sign outside listed drink special but when we asked the server if there was a list of the drinks indoors he said "it's only my second day I am busy" so I went outside to take a photo of the drink specials menu - our appetizer plates were never fully cleared, only a few plates were taken after our main course arrived - our drink orders were not taken until half way through the meal. I ordered the Novatini off the specials menu but the drink I received was very different (and maybe not on any menu?) - despite the restaurant being pretty empty, about 15 people, our server barely attended to our table. There were at least 2 other servers waiting on other tables. Would come back again 100% with a more tenured server. read more

Yet in the end I was presented with a terminal, in the hand of a person directly looking at my tip choice, with no quick button for 'no tip'. Perhaps the option was there, but it was so obscure I couldn't find it quickly. If it's a paper signature slip, it's still considered uncouth today to hover over the customer while they write the tip in. What are we doing here? It is literally a conveyor belt sushi, yet tips starting at 18% is clearly still expected. This practice tarnished the experience for me.

I love sitting at sushi counters and getting to see them work, I love the stimulation. Service was outstanding the chefs made wonderful reccomendations including their secret menu item ' The BIG MAC' Ambiance was killer and its a small space with limited seatings every night. Perfect for a sexy date night experience and great for talking !!

What we got: - chuturo nigiri - so buttery - hamachi nigiri - good flavor and cut - chili hotate - love the flavor - negi toro maki - good flavor - unakyu- fine a little on the sweeter side - Amai - not my favorite and I think the tuna had a strong fishy flavor Overall, good meal and pretty reasonable bill. We decided to try this new AYCE sushi spot after seeing great reviews. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there were a few things that could be improved. First, parking is pretty limited, so you might have to park a little farther away. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance, though the light above our table kept flickering, which was a bit annoying. Service was a little inconsistent--even though the restaurant wasn't too busy, we had some trouble getting our waiter's attention at times. That said, the food came out at a good pace. The fish quality was about what you'd expect for AYCE--not bad, but nothing standout. The nigiri had a bit too much rice, and some of the rolls were just okay. One of our rolls had shrimp tempura inside, but it barely had any shrimp, which was a little disappointing. The biggest miss for me was the mochi--they limit the number of pieces you could get but it wasn't even good. Overall, it's not a bad spot if you're craving AYCE sushi, but there are a few small things that could make the experience even better! read more

I had an amazing dining experience at Sushi Nova! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with modern decor and soft lighting that made it perfect for both a date night or a casual dinner with friends. I've been to a lot of all you can eat sushi places around the city and suburbs and the first thing I want to say about this place is that it's super clean and decorated really nicely. They have a super nice outdoor area that's secluded from the busy street up front. Really nice and intimate. I found this place on a foodie Instagram and it did not disappoint. Definitely check it out, food is great, service is great and they have an amazing saki selection. read more

Sushi Nova is an awesome spot for all-you-can-eat sushi in Chicago. The appetizers are good and it's cool that you can order all that you want from the signature to the regular rolls. The vibe is super chill, and the music makes it even better. It's a great place to go with friends, whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout.
