Don't get me wrong. Food is good. It just wasn't as satisfying as Sushi Asahi? I went knowing it's the same company if I am understanding this correctly. I don't know. Introduction? For this place? No need! This is the best AYCE sushi place my wife and I have been to, maybe even the best sushi period, and we have been to a lot of sushi restaurants. Located right next to a tire shop, this restaurant was all the way in the corner of a small shopping center with plenty of parking in the back. There is plenty of inside seating without any outside seating. Decor is minimal and modern. We were seated right away on Friday around 1 pm, but it was fairly busy for a weekday. The menu has a lot of variety and options and you order on a tablet at your table. The food comes out pretty quickly As far as flavor goes, the fish was super fresh, the rice to fish ratio was great. All the hot foods came out hot and all the other foods came out room temp. A lot of the stuff on the menu has a mexican twist to some of the flavors and it definitely worked! My wife and I still dream about this place today and we hope they open a location in San Diego. They automatically add gratuity to all party sizes so be aware. Gotten drinks spilled on me by a server before as well, no manager came to apologize, offer me a towel, offer any discount or anything. My wife and I did all you can eat at the dinner price on a Saturday $37 we were only able to eat 2 rolls that took 45min each to get it. My 3 year old child only got miso soup within 30min of ordering and his shrimp arrived 1hr 15min later of being ordered. We didn't even receive our full order that we placed. 10 out of 10 stars. Man this place is awesome! AYCE sushi for $36 and a 2 hour limits is a good deal here. I counted 10 or more chefs here cranking out sushi rolls at max speed. My party of two sat down and started with 6 rolls thinking we would have time to finish one at a time, well we ended up having all 6 rolls placed on our table in less than 8 minutes! Wow! We ordered a few more rolls, the soft shell crab was pretty awesome. All the food came out so fast we were finished at 40 minutes. Love the setup here and the birthday parties they bring down all the lights and turn on the disco theme for everyone to enjoy. My new favorite sushi place even with a one hour drive. read more

Came here for the first time a week ago for Sunday lunch with a friend. We both had the all you can eat options. The service was great. The restaurant is nice and the service was great and quick! I like that they have options to fill out sheets for the orders or for the more tech savy customers they have electronic devices to submit their orders. As we were submitting new roll orders, they were coming to the table within minutes. The food was really good. The ambiance was great. There were several groups celebrating birthdays while we were there. They dim the lights and sing happy birthday to those celebrating. Was pretty cool. read more

I did not expect to find great AYCE sushi in the Inland Empire, but Sushi Okoku has done it. I am glad this place is getting better the more business it is getting versus getting worse because often times it's the other way around. Someone is paying attention to not only excellence in efficiency but also customer service and keeping the quality of the taste in food! We came here for AYCE sushi and had the worst experience. We were sat in a corner away from all the other tables next do where employees come in and out. already not ideal. The main reason I'm leaving this review is because of the non rice roll. Instead of rice, they use crab. Sounded great no prob, but when they brought out The roll it had like 3x more crab than the picture showed. It was honestly obscene. I tried to finish it because I didn't want to be charged. I love crab so didn't think it would be an issue. It was. The waiter asked if everything was okay, I brought to his attention how much the crab was grossing me out, he said "I guess that's how they get ya!" By this time I was grossed out to the point where I didn't feel like eating anymore. The waiter did not take the roll or do anything about it. Nothing tasted that great. my tuna sashimi tasted pretty bad I had to spit it out. My avocado roll (avocado bomb) was really brown and mushy. I'm usually pretty full so I never get appetizers, but since the rolls weren't great I decided to get something to eat while everyone else finished their rolls. But even the edamame was super bland. I'm not one to complain, but for the price plus the 15% gratuity automatically applied...I'm just trying to save someone their hard earned money. Came here right when it opened at 11:30 on a Saturday with a party of 9 and didn't have to wait. Looks like they increased their prices now to $35.99 per person for AYCE and have automatic gratuity, 15% for parties of 4+ and 18% for parties of 6+. In terms of service and food everything was great. They have many really unique rolls like the strawberry lemonade roll that were surprisingly good. We got majority of the sashimi that you could only get one per person as well and those were pretty fresh tasting. These are some rolls I'd recommend. Strawberry Lemonade Roll - It sounds gross but is actually very refreshing and delicious. (5/5) Sashimi - I'd get the limit for each person because these are great. No fishy taste at all. (5/5) Sushi - All the sushi I got was good and also they don't pack in rice like other AYCE restaurants. My group didn't waste any rice surprisingly. (5/5) Baked Mussel - These looked different than other places I've been and the taste is good. I love mussels. (4.5/5) Spider hand roll - A must get for roll. I think there a limit of one per person but these were packed. (5/5) Soft shell crab - Also one per person and it's pretty good quality. (5/5) These are rolls/ items I'd avoid. Seaweed Salad - Big plate but it's mixed with lettuce not just the seaweed. Flavor is okay but we didn't want the salad. (1/5) Pizza Roll - Pizza and sushi don't mix and this combo did NOT work. It was okay but just weird.... (1/5) Overall they got some really good rolls and some really weird rolls. I like this place though the prices are kind of high with the new price increase.
