My girlfriend and I came on a Monday night and were greeted by a friendly host and seated immediately. The space looks quite big actually, super clean, well lit- perfect for a casual date spot. The food itself was pretty good, what you would typically expect from a revolving sushi spot. The fish tasted fresh and everything seemed to be made pretty often (with the exception of the cucumber roll that was sitting from the time we got there to the time we left, but i get it lol). They seem to really love strawberry and truffle here, I would love to see a little more variety or more of the classics, but it's always nice to see an interesting twist. The rice quality wasn't great--it tended to fall apart--and the fish cutting skills could use improvement, with some pieces unevenly sliced or cut awkwardly down the middle. Been wanting to try this place after some recommendations. Finally did, and the verdict is it's pretty good! We got seated right away, even though it was a Saturday night. As we were being escorted to our table, we noticed how bright and modern the whole place was. Light wood was a smart choice! After server explained how to order and went to get our drinks, we immediately started taking plates off the belt. Some highlights were the seared salmon, toro and truffle scallops which we ordered several times. The kiddo had not one but TWO California rolls, the ebi tempura and gyoza-all of which he gobbled up. He was disappointed that there was no ramen as he was comparing it to the "other revolving sushi" place, but he still ate what we could off the menu happily. The one thing we really struggled to understand was why there were packets of wasabi versus "fresh" (wink wink). The packets were just terrible and clumping. Bleh! I know the place recently opened so theyre still getting their bearings. Besides that the experience eating here was odd. When we came in the hostess was totally missing. Someone working on the system had to seat us and then the actual hostess showed up. So that wasn't helpful as we couldnt ask needed questions. We figured out the plates are scanned with a device as the servers come around to pick up the plates. If you order something on the tablet it comes on a small trolley thing in the middle of the tables above the moving plates. The place itself is nice, basic and efficient. The food options are pretty limited though. We saw the same plates going around and had been on there for a while, which wasn't appealing. The fish didnt have a lot of flavor either. The conveyor belt was always full of options and our server came by multiple times to make sure we were doing ok. The concept is fun and convenient, especially being able to pick dishes directly as they pass by. The staff were also polite and welcoming. However, the overall experience didn't fully meet expectations. Since it's conveyor belt sushi, freshness is really important, but some of the items seemed like they had been circulating a bit too long. Some of the fish felt slightly dry, and a few pieces didn't taste as fresh as they should. So we decided to order through the screen and server. So it came freshly made. We tried it on last Friday at around 5:30 p.m. It's still pretty new so I recommend go there earlier because you may need to wait too long or unable to find parking spaces in that busy plaza. We did not need to wait and they greet us immediately when we walked in. The ambiance of Sushi Rev is modern and it has welcoming atmosphere and I like their interior of the restaurant. Our server was T.P., he was friendly and service was attentive. Each sushi on the conveyor belt cost $3.75 each. Our server came collecting some plates once we finished and he counted for us and told us how many dishes we had so far. We had total 30 dishes and we finished it at 6 p.m.! Yes, we spent only 30 minutes and we had 30 dishes because they were so delicious. We had a few Truffle Seaweed Tuna, Ikura, Ebi Tempura, Truffle Salmon, Strawberry Unagi and other 23 conveyor belt plates. Great quality. We can't wait to go back there soon. read more

Be aware that the parking lot is kinda hectic in the plaza at that time. The staff was super friendly and made sure to explain to us the process since it was our first time. Stopped by on a weeknight for dinner last night. The wait was pretty minimal for a party of two on a weeknight, but I expect it'll go up on weekends or maybe once there's more marketing around its opening. It's very modern and clean on the inside as it's a new restaurant and they have a more advanced system than Kura. You can order up to I think 5 items (or maybe 6?) off the iPad every 5 minutes. They'll clear your plates every so often and scan them before clearing them. They'll always announce how many they've scanned for you to hear. For anything you order off the iPad, it'll come from the top of the conveyor belt and you tap it with your finger to send the little device back. Honestly a fun novelty there. I came in pretty ravenous so I think I tried almost every salmon, tuna, and shrimp item there. The seared salmon was probably my favorite, but the pickled red onion that paired with some of the sushi was delightful as well. From the non-conveyor belt items, the tempura was perfectly crispy. Biggest letdown were the sweet potato fries since they were essentially fried potato shavings. My friend wished they served beer which I'm guessing they might down the line. After talking to my friend and another friend we ran into, the two things we agreed on was we all liked it, but we wished they had more options especially for the izakaya menu. Depending how hungry you are, the plates can add up so I will say it's a little on the expensive side (again depending on how much you can eat!). The fish quality was good, but pieces were thin so food prices added up quickly for us (but that also means the food is really good because we kept eating lol). Since it's a soft opening, the servers were asking what we liked so it seems they're pretty open to feedback right now. If you're coming in with a big group, I don't think there's a table size that can accommodate a group over 5 so be aware of that. It's better for smaller groups especially since the servers scan your plates during the meal. I also thought the seats were a little uncomfortable since they're just wood, but I'm nitpicking a little now. Overall, I'd come back and recommend trying this place out! read more

There is a revolving sushi belt but you can also order the same thing off the menu ordering plus more like rolls. The star here was their yellowtail. I think that was the best quality fish that they offer. The salmon was good as well. I think try their truffle items and it actually had an intense truffle flavor but to me, it overpowered the fish. It was a 5/5 the first 2 times I went within 3 weeks of the grand opening. I tried most of the menu, and have gone solo for lunch too. Their avocado roll, cucumber roll, and everything else is packed with ingredients and made so well. The concept is great. Maybe a little too simplified but the most recent time, btw have to waitlist in advance - 3rd visit, I was disappointed because they reduced the portions by 25%. Will wait and see if they balance out. and service is still good. Decided to try the 4th time recently and it was better- the Avo roll was back to normal with maybe slightly less quantity but at least it was packed with Avo, likewise to the cucumber roll. Glad I went the 4th time, it is back reasonable quantity and quality. I am a big fan of the conveyor belt sushi concept and a long long time ago, I think there was one in this plaza or adjacent to it. I liked the truffle lean on some of their sushi, and their rolls shine through. Salmon belly is good, salmon kama etc - all are solid. Checked out Rev Sushi during their soft opening at the new Rowland Heights location on Wednesday 2/18 around 4:30pm. First impression, the interior is really nice. Clean, modern, and well put together. When we walked in we were greeted with the classic Japanese "irasshaimase," and when we left they sent us off with an "arigatou gozaimashita," which was a nice touch and made it feel more authentic. Our servers name was Ant and he was great. Super attentive and you could tell he was training two new guys since they were shadowing him the whole time, but service still felt smooth and welcoming. One thing I liked is how they count plates. They scan them since they're microchipped, which is pretty cool and feels modern compared to the usual systems. Nice detail, the fish was served cold which was a plus, and there was ginger and wasabi already preset on the table. Drinks were solid. The Oi Ocha green tea was good. Some of the items we tried were toro carpaccio, toro, ebi tempura, seared salmon, strawberry unagi, and truffle seaweed tuna. You can order from a tablet at the table and it unlocks new orders every 5 minutes, but you can also grab items that are revolving on the belt, which is nice if you want something quick. Overall, a solid experience for a soft opening. Hoping they add more variety soon since I wish there was a bit more selection, but definitely a promising start.
