For lunch, we got two rolls. The quality is outstanding. I especially love the massive selection of rolls on the menu WITH corresponding pictures of what you'll be getting. It looks like you can easily eat here a dozen times and not worry about ordering the same thing twice. The fish served was super fresh and expertly prepared. So this isn't a typical food review. I didn't eat there. I went in and was checking out the menu, seeing if I wanted to bring my GF back another time. I had a water, and was watching the Thursday night football game and checking my emails. Then this very rude man came over from behind the sushi bar and started yelling at me that if I didn't order any food I had to leave! I wasn't aware that there is a 20 minute time limit as he so loudly exclaimed. It wasn't even busy so I wasn't taking up valuable space at the bar! Keep in mind I'm not a bum, and I had even left a few bucks tip for my water. I had also told the server that I was checking out the new establishment and I was planning on coming back. The food was good, the place was pretty however I have never ever felt anymore discriminated in my entire life until yesterday. Me and my family came here to eat. The place was pretty empty as we were sat down and we got our drinks, afterwards two other parties were sat beside us. The waitress wasn't attentive to us, and helped the parties next to us who keep in mind got here after. She was super attentive to them and kept asking them if they needed anything else. We DID NOT get asked what we wanted to order until we had to flag her down. Which by then the other parties already received their food! Even one of the people from the other party noticed they weren't attentive towards us. They made us feel like we weren't there, the other parties had lighter skin complexes so maybe they assumed we wouldn't tip or anything due to being POC. Do NOT come here if you want to be treated awfully by the waitress. read more

First visit to sushi Rosa. Very impressed by the menu selections. They give you a large variety to choose from. We chose 3 rolls to try. The Mt. Fuji, Cherry blossom and the Volcano. Very different from rolls at other sushi restaurants. Their menu is such, that it will take several visits to fully explore it. We are looking forward to doing just that. The staff is attentive without hovering. The really cool thing is being served my a robot (with a live server to assist). Very laid back atmosphere. The place was nice, great vibes, newly opened. The service is excellent, very tentative and friendly waitresses and waiters. The sashimi I had was delicious I had the blue tail. No fish smell or taste and the texture was firm but melting in your mouth, not soggy or soft feeling at all. Perfect. Their yellow tail was also amazing which I had in a sushi roll, and the rice they serve with the sushi is unlike all other sushi rice I've encountered. Tasty, perfect texture and super fresh, it has a flavor that no other sushi rice has and compliments the raw fish very well. Pretty place. Sweet staff. Unfortunately, the sushi was just not good. The salmon was pale. They put eel sauce on rolls, that didn't list it on the menu. Most of all, there was too much rice. I had a plate full of rice I removed from the rolls. So, meh! read more

One of the best in Santa Rosa, and generally there is something for everyone. Nice fish, great variety, but expensive. It seems like Santa Rosa has very expensive rent or something because every place with sushi I have tried(up to 5 now) is more expensive than I would think based on quality. That aside, this place does have freshness and quality- which is what I care about most. The service robots are cute but kitchy and kind of unnecessary/they are silly because sometimes they position themselves strangely. read more

So happy another sushi house took this location over (this location being the old Tex Wasabi), they are focusing the cuisine on more classic style other then the old mix menu.
