For a Sushi Spot in Little Havana, I would say this is a pretty decent place. I sat outside due to having a dog with me and the service and servers were amazing. They gave my date and I waters, along with offering water for my dog which was nice of them. The green salads(being house salad) was good. Got two mocktails which tasted amazing. Now for sushi, we ordered angel roll, dolphin roll, and the lobster blast. ALL ROLLS WERE AMAZING. The Lobster blast looked amazing. Rule of thumb for me is go to a sushi spot and the most expensive roll and then get a cheaper roll. I made all good decisions. Thank you Sushi Sake. Hope to come back again soon. read more

I came in here after work Sunday afternoon for a quick lunch. The place was all to ourselves. We got to choose where we sat and were quickly given menus. Our waitress was sweet and she spoke to us both in English and Spanish as we were a mixed crowd of Native English/Spanish speakers. I ordered the Funky Buddha draft beer as my beverage. I love local beers and on a hot day, this crisp cold one hit the spot. The sushi we ordered all came out very quickly and all looked beautiful. They were tasty too. Overall, this restaurant is a nice option to the abundance of Cuban restaurants in the surrounding area. So it was nice to be able to switch it up. read more

Can you say rude from the start! I don't recommend or will ever eat at this location again. 1st time here by accident. It wasn't crowded at all. 1 other couple sitting outside. The Spanish greeting was from the man that seemed like the manager..."just you? by yourself?" My comeback, of course was "Um yes, is that ok?!!" "Yea, i just thought you were with someone else..." I'm shocked to give them a poor Review. I've been to the sushi sake in Kendall several times, never had any issues. The one time I come to the location on 8th street is my first and my last. When we arrived we didn't know what time they closed because we just walked by and saw it. The lady at the cash register says let me ask if it's ok for you to dine in because they're closing at 10:30 pm. There were 3 of us. So to be nice we said no problem we can place an order and eat it outside since they have a seating area right in front. Well right before our food arrived, 2 customers came in and sat inside. We looked at each other like were they not just making it an issue when we were going to dine in? And the 2 customers arrived about 2 minutes before 10:30 pm. While eating our food, one of the employees had the audacity to come outside and tell us that their boss called them because they can see us from the cameras eating outside and asked us if we can leave because we can't outside since we ordered to go!! Whattttt????? I was wishing the owner was there because I would've made a show. We wanted to eat inside but they were making a big deal about it from the get!!! Last time we come here. Stopped by this location while walking through little Havana on a Tuesday because our friends wanted sushi and the menus we saw on the tables outside said happy hour with the days and times. When we realized we were within the HH window we decided to go in. Server had an upset look on her face the entire time. The menus she gave us once seated were different and had no happy hour specials. When we asked what were the happy hour specials, she said all hot appetizers and a couple of sushi rolls. However she kept getting confused on the rolls. Every appetizer we selected (even though hot) she would then say not that one. We saw that the menu did say All Beers were $5 during HH , but when we gave her our drink order, which were beers, she said it wasn't part of HH. So we picked another beer and again she said not that one. When I told her the menu said ALL beers, she brushed it off and said, "yea but the doesn't matter it's wrong"..we finally selected a Corona and shrimp tempura which was HH price, according to her. It was as though she was just deciding what she wanted to make HH price on the spot. We only stayed and ate since we were with friends and they had already placed their order. Otherwise, we would've walked out. When we got the check (for my husband and I) we noticed it already included an 18% service charge. Should've been a sign when we walked in and the place was empty, and other restaurants nearby weren't. Don't recommend and definitely not going back. read more

I have been going to several Sushi Sake locations since I can remember. I have NEVER had any problem with the restaurant! It's my favorite sushi spot. Today, my husband and I were super devastated with the customer service here in the Little Havana/Calle Ocho location. Closing time was 11pm and we came into the door at 10:15pm. The old lady with black hair which I assume is the hostess when we asked for a table for 2, took a long pause and then hesitated and said that she couldn't sit us down because no more tables were being given out since the kitchen was closed because they closed at 11pm.
