We tried a variety of rolls (the sweet potato roll, hit roll, yummi yummi roll, and the salmon avocado roll) and all were great. Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is small and cozy, quiet on a Sunday afternoon, and it seems to be run by a husband and wife team. We will definitely return for sushi in the near future! read more

This is really our go to location for sushi. When you eat here you will be shocked.. the inside is tiny... maybe 6 tables or so. However the sushi is packed with big flavors and the service is outstanding! If you like sushi this is a great reasonable location that has other options as well. My youngest loves miso soup and for him this is the definition of the perfect miso as long as we hold the seaweed. They have Bibimbop... my wife had it the last time and said it was awesome. (I stole a piece of the meat when she wasn't look it was pretty good!) My oldest lives for their old Alabama roll. It is one of my favorites as well! I like several of their rolls and this time I tried their chicken fried rice as well. It just might be the best I have had since moving to Alpharetta! They have this huge sanitation machine you must walk through at the entrance that apparently sprays you upon entering the restaurant--thankfully it was off when I entered because I wasn't looking to get sprayed with chemicals. In contrast, the waitress was seemingly frazzled and forgetful in such a small and empty restaurant. The positive aspect was that I enjoyed my sushi but I ordered a basic tuna avocado roll that it's hard to mess up. The specialty rolls just didn't seem appetizing. read more

FOOD: price has gone up so please take a look at the updated photos below. It is very $$ for the quality. The salmon honestly tastes like hmart quality sashimi- not fresh, fishy taste, crumbles in the mouth. The yellowtail nigiri was also cold -- which is a bit odd(?). The rolls were okay-- the shrimp temperature was probably the best one. The squid nigiri for $9 was not worth it. SERVICE: when we first walked in, noticed that our server was sitting in the corner with energy drink on her phone and the owner/sushi chef was at the bar on his phone. The server greeted us but the chef did not seem amused nor make eye contact with us. During our meal, not once did anyone come to refill our water nor ask how the food was. AMBIANCE: decorations are tacky/out of place and it was not the cleanest (dusty). It was also a bit dark in the restaurant. 4.5 stars. We came here Friday night for date night. It wasn't too busy and got a table right away. I love the quaint atmosphere, very cozy and romantic. We ordered the toro sashimi special. It was amazing!! Omg we should have ordered two. All of the fish were extremely fresh and melted in our mouth. Definitely our favorite dish of the night. Would come back again just for this. We also ordered the aloha roll, sushi mania roll and falcon roll. Wow these were huge rolls (for sushi). The portions are very generous and include lots of fish (less rice which is good). The aloha roll was our favorite out of the rolls because it has a kick to it and less heavy than the other ones. The service was very attentive and I think the owners are Korean. They were all so nice and friendly. They have many Korean dishes as well so im excited to try those next time! When my sister told me the name of where we were going for dinner, I had to reserve my Pavlovian desire to roll my eyes and brace for mediocrity. The name Sushi Mania does not inspire feelings of epicurean greatness. As it turns out, it's awesome. The interior is small and cozy, a limited number of tables with a sushi bar. I love that style. The folks running the place are super friendly and welcoming. The menu is extensively sushi but also carries over a few Korean dishes. I saw a stone bowl bibimbap and Korean ramyun on the back page along with chapaghetti, which was what I had. Chapaghetti which is basically like a version of jjajangmyeon has house-made sauce served with udon noodles. I was a little worried it would come out of a package since that's what I'm used to. Enjoyed that. If you're looking for somewhere cozy with things for everyone, this might be a good spot for you. read more

Like many others who have posted here, the service is unacceptable. There were 2 people finishing up and a table of 4 ordering when we arrived. In the meantime, 1 Uber order was picked up and 2 more people came in. The table of 2 after us got all of their food before us. The table of 4 had finished. We were told our order would be a few more minutes and the server didn't know why the other table came out first. We left after 40 minutes and having no food. Poor service is a consistent issue here. My favorite items on the menu so far include the fried beef gyoza, and the snow cone sushi roll. I'm drooling just thinking about it. This was our first time at this sushi spot and loved it! We went on a Sunday evening and found this restaurant on Yelp as we craved sushi. I'm so glad we did! Everything we ordered was delicious! They even changed the tv channel for us to watch the NFL playoffs! We ordered the "choose 2 rolls" for $17 which comes with a small miso soup and ginger side salad. The two rolls we chose were the Yumi Yumi roll (fried roll) and the shrimp tempura. We also ordered the Baked Salmon roll which was bigger than both other rolls combined! It was simply delicious! Service was super fast and refills were plentiful. I definitely recommend this sushi restaurant. They have many many rolls to chose from, especially cooked rolls! This place honestly amazed us. We came here for our first time following a couples massage. Their Spider-Man roll was our favorite one, this is the one that has the soft shell crab in it. We were happy with all three rolls as they were very well crafted, but the Spider-Man one was definitely the best, especially with the toppings that it had. However, having visited between lunch and dinner (about 3 pm on a Saturday), securing a table wasn't a problem. Service was friendly and helpful. If I had any complaint, it would be that the pricing is a bit high relative to what you get. This may be somwhat typical for the neighborhood. This is the best and freshest poke (sushi) bowl I've had. I haven't had a lot of them elsewhere, but it is fresh and delicious. Love the ponzu, spicy Korean pepper sauce and the spicy mayo. There is something very clean about their sushi bowl and I even was able to workout after eating (can't say I planned it that way, but it made an impression on me!) I was exhausted after starting my day at 5am flying to Atlanta, going to the aquarium and a Braves game. By 7pm I didn't have the energy to go out so I consulted yelp for delivery. I ordered the Philadelphia roll ($6.95) which is supposed to have salmon, cream cheese, avacado and cucumber. For some reason, the fish was smoked. I went back and consulted the menu because I didn't remember it saying smoked. It wasn't supposed to be. I also had the shrimp tempura roll ($8.50) that had cucumber and avacado. Now this roll had the avacado so I'm not sure why it wasn't in my Philadelphia roll. Overall this place was underwhelming. The flavor and ingredients were off. The rolls didn't come with soup or salad. After looking back at the prices, I guess I can't be but so unhappy, because it was cheap compared to other places. GrubHub charged $5.99 to deliver plus 15% tip so my total for not great sushi was about $26. I think I'd try somewhere different in a pinch. Not sure what it's like if you visit the actual restaurant. read more

The jalapeño slices on top were perfect and the fish 2 ways was a nice touch. Here is a place doing everything right!!!! We keep looking for a great sushi place and I think we have finally found it! We ordered to go and everything was fresh and delicious. It was ready at the time they said it would be (last time the place down the street had us wait about 45 minutes beyond the time quoted). They food was really good and to our surprise there was a note in our bag with a little something extra thrown in my the chef!!!! Not sure if they made a mistake or do this regularly but they made big fans out of us!!! It's little things like that that win you customers for life! Love this place. Full disclosure we are regulars. They always take care of us. My daughter gets the Udon every time and my wife and I get various rolls. It's small and cozy and has some other things on the menu, so bring your non-sushi eating friends and they can have something enjoyable too. Watch out for the candy dish when leaving. This is a harder review to write for me because this was my first time having raw sushi. Every time I've ever ordered sushi in the past, it was already cooked. I still ordered the pink lady here as well as a roll that had mangos on it. I think my favorite roll was the one with mangos on it. My brother in law wanted to allow us to taste all different types of sushi, so he ordered a plethora of different types of raw sushi. I tried the Philly roll one first and it was so yummy! We had all different types of sushi but I have to say, while it was amazing, I'm still partial to the cooked rolls! The chef and waiter were so nice and funny. They brought out the rolls in a really beautiful manner with a vegetable flower as garnish in the middle of the 20+ rolls. Just beautiful! I'm giving this place a 5 star because it's a great atmosphere and the Chef was polite and the waitress was prompt. It may have been that I came in at the wrong time, but the Chef preparing my Sushi was a little slow, but good things come for those with patience. I ordered the Baked Green Mussels and they were ridiculously good. Very good proportion, 4 mussels per order for around $5. I mean, I've had these all over the place and a lot of modern such I places won't serve it up or if they do it sucks and isn't that fresh. Then I ordered Chirashi. Some places skimp out on what they prepare with this dish or they give you only 5 types for $15 or so. This had White Tuna, Tuna, Seared Tuna, Tomago, imitation crab, Albacore, Salmon, Octopus and eal. For the price of $18 it was worth it. This place is a hidden gem and you can tell how good it is because there were three Japanese families already eating. I will return again as this will be my goto spot in Alpharetta/Johns Creek. read more

This is the best Sushi in the whole area. The Yumi yumi sauce is unique and to die for! The mango and yumi yumi sushi, extremely delicious has the name on it. Fried rice is a OMG to the pallet. Came here because of the good reviews but I should have known better and shouldn't ignored the printout by the entrance that says "Show us your good reviews and receive 10% off!!" We ordered: Kaki Tori (fried oysters) Chirashi Don Chicken Teriyaki The prices on the menu don't seen expensive but the portion are actually small. The fried oysters appetizer comes with 2 tiny fried oysters sliced in half. The sushi are thin sliced in the chirashi don. Chicken Teriyaki looks great but the teriyaki is very salty and a portion of the rice somehow was soaked in water and meshed. The only positive thing that I can say about this place is the good service, therefore I rate it 2 stars instead of 1. read more
