Located kind of far off the freeway in a private lot with their own parking. Walked in to a nicely remodeled interior with plenty available seating on a Tuesday afternoon. Greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Menu was a little overwhelming and had a lot of variety. Items are a mix of Japanese and Korean items. You are able to order a la carte or pick from one of their AYCE tiers. The top tier, which allows you to pick any of the items from the menu, has a "1" next to their premium items which you can only order ONCE. Be aware of this. We opted for their top tier AYCE and mostly got sushi. Sushi itself was just ok. The quality of fish wasn't amazing/most fresh but enough that neither of us got tummy aches. The hamachi and salmon sashimi was a little stiff/tough but the yuzu flavor on the yuzu hamachi was good. The basil salmon wasn't ok, the basil flavor was not as expected but good. I was surprised by the cheese salmon - it was a soft cheese inside with avocado, this was probably the only piece of sushi i cared for. Also got hamachi kama, miso, and their house salad - all good. Got all 3 edamame and would say to stick with just the plain. The spicy and the garlic were sticky and lacked good flavor. Corn cheese was disappointing, was more like a warm elote on a hot plate? It was just too much mayonnaise. Would have been 3 stars for food/service but knocking off a star because at the end of our meal as we were paying, they told us they were doing us a favor not charging us for the edamame we didn't finish. Would've paid for it/not made a fuss because we read the note on the menu about paying the a la carte price for items that aren't finished (another thing to make note of). We were so excited to try an all you can eat near us! The service is great, friendly. There's 3 tiers, $30/$40/$50; $40 has all the nigiri and $50 has uni and toro. We did the $40. Fish quality is really good. We only rated it on the lower scale bc the rice was kind of hard. We could count every grain eating and kept thinking ok maybe it was just that batch of rice but we ordered a lot, and each time the rice was still hard. But the fish quality is still so good and like for the price point, definitely worth. It's hard to disregard the rice since it's in almost every dish. But we're still coming back! Dessert like ice cream is not included in the AYCE. Only the sesame balls and churro rice cakes. SKIP the onion salmon; least favorite. First time me and my family went here was on a sunday evening. There were 8 of us and ordered ala carte. This restaurant was previously Momo Sushi and we LOVED that place because the food was consistent and super ONO even though the ambiance wasnt the best. Tsunami has amazing ambiance with everything inside updated and outside too with better lighting at night. But our first visit, the food wasnt bad but also wasnt something we kept thinking about after. The miso soup was bland and the tempura sauce was tasteless. We also were disappointed they only have option for bento at lunch time. I feel if owners read this please bring bento box all day and more people will come. Fast forward today I gave their bento box a try for lunch and it was definitely better! The tonkatsu was warm and tasty and same for the tempura. What was surprisingly underpar was their beef teriyaki. It ws dry and cold. I asked for teriyaki sauce and it was much better after but still was cold as if it was cooked hours ago. Overall though food is much better and Im sure and hope they get the teriyaki beef newly cooked and with much more sauce next time. Would I still recommend the place? Yes for sure! read more

And we didnt even order much per round (like 5 items or so). Spent more time waiting than eating. We also couldn't even order more sashimi or sushi while our order was pending, as they said we had to wait for it to get here first. The roll that came out was not as described. Ordered a roll that had "amaebi" (sweet shrimp) in the description but it just had regular ebi shrimp. Guess they sneakily cut costs. Sashimi was ok, some slices super fresh, some had the chewy membrane still on it. Some cooked food were also subpar. Steamed egg had a burnt bottom, beef teriyaki was chewy like jerky. I am so disappointed with this restaurant.... My boyfriend and I loved coming here because it's a closer drive to us than going to Fuji in Vacaville. Our first time was excellent and we thought we had found a new go to AYCE sushi place . Sushi to rice ratio was OFF, there was so much rice it was honestly so upsetting. Fish quality wasn't as fresh. Only thing that's keeping this restaurant together is their customer service and ambience but overall experience was a 4/10. Some items are limited to 1 per customer (like blue fin tuna) but I was impressed that just about everything was available on the all you can eat menu including udon, ramen, grilled fish, bulgogi, etc. at the end, there was dessert (chocolate mochi ice cream for me, green tea ice cream for my wife). I came to this restaurant to try it out. First off the food was okay, the sashimi, sushi, and a good amount of the other side dishes were amazing. There were some foods specifically the japchae that was lacking as it had a sour taste, which is something I don't believe is normal and definitely something I'm not used to. Secondly, the service was very lacking. They only had two servers on the floor to take care of the dinner crowd. It was a bit of a struggle to get plates off the table as bussers were going around collecting plates and seem to not take notice to the pile of plates on our table. SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. Mind you we went on a Monday night. They had 2 servers. both servers avoided contact with us the whole night had to repeatedly keep asking them for refills, napkins, and rice. They seated all the families with small children in one area and avoided going over there to assist them. They would let tables pile up with the discard plates and not collect them we had to keep repeatedly keep asking them to remove items from the table. For an all you can eat place they sure were slow with replacing and replenishing items we paid for the highest course which was $50 per person and it's very limited to what you can have. The food was subpar and there were a lot of rotten items that were given to us. We told our waiter over and over again that something tasted funny and he was like thank you for telling me the fish is not as fresh as you would want it to be. The following I did not like because of a preference which is we do not like their rolls with cooked tuna such as the Dragon eye and the TNT. I came here the day after Valentine's Day on a Saturday, so it was packed and about a 45 minute wait for 4 people. They offer 3 tiers of all you can eat with the lowest being $30. It's honestly quite a lot you can order. The staff was friendly but it was so chaotic in there they were constantly forgetting orders we had set up. The sushi was just ok too. Not as good as Mo Mo Sushi it just didn't taste as fresh as I like and they use a lot of rice. It's an ok spot, but not a spot I can see myself coming too very often. read more

Things that went well and we really liked: - no wait time - AYCE nigiri, sashimi, KBBQ - atmosphere, ambiance, music were all great! - plenty, and I mean PLENTY, of options Deltas / things that can (hopefully) be improved and reasons I deducted 2 stars: - puff dad, and stuffed mushrooms lacked flavor (compared to Mikuni's version) - no changing tables in either bathrooms - clarity on pricing This last part was a little frustrating. I saw that children 3yo and under are free, so before ordering, I had confirmed this with our server. Unfortunately, they still continued to charge us for one of our daughters. I checked the menus on Yelp, but when I got there they have updated the menus that were originally posted on Yelp as of January 2025. So between January and September of this year, the menu has already been updated. They no longer provide senior discounts, and they make it less confusing with their all-you-can-eat options. They give you the option to do à la cart, which to me they should steer away from altogether because that makes things too confusing as it is if you are trying to establish yourself as an all-you-can-eat restaurant. The food tastes great! The customer service is excellent! My only suggestion I could offer the owners of this restaurant is to take the time to go to other all-you-can-eat restaurants such as I Love Sushi in Davis, Hoshi in Vacaville, Fuji Sushi in Vacaville, and Raku Sushi in West Sacramento. Look at the way they do their all-you-can-eat menus. They offer a flat rate fee with beverages being the only added cost, and no option of à la cart. Some of these places also offer a mini all-you-can-eat bar for the seaweed salad and other little items, but the one thing they all share in common is a menu that is simple to understand, has a flat rate fee posted at the top of the menu, and everything on there is all-you-can-eat with no pricing for every little item on the menu. Nobody wants to order à la carte at an all you can eat establishment. À la cart is an expensive way to buy your sushi, especially in this inflated economy. That's why I'm going to an all you can eat establishment as opposed to everywhere else that is à la cart. Every other Japanese sushi restaurant is quintessentially à la carte. You are putting yourself above the rest of the pack by creating an all you can eat establishment. There are very few all you can eat sushi restaurants in the Solano, Yolo, and Sacramento counties. If you take the à la carte option off the menu, then you will succeed. Also, you have one of the biggest sushi bars that I've seen that rivals Hisui number 2 in Vacaville and comes close to Hinata's in Fairfield. Take advantage of this. Take out the four uncomfortable looking seats at your sushi bar, and instead, put nice comfortable bar seats with added back support for your customers along side the whole sushi bar so that you could have more people seated upfront watching your sushi chefs make the sushi. A lot of the time when I like to go out to sushi restaurants with a friend, I always love to sit upfront at the sushi bar and watch the sushi being made. If you take out the uncomfortable bar seats, and put comfortable ones up along the whole row of your bar, you will have more customers sit at the sushi bar that are party of one or party of two, and also create more room for people that have larger parties of 4 to 6 to sit at the tables. These are just small suggestions to fine-tune your restaurant. Other than that everything else that you are doing is perfect. read more
