Located kind of far off the freeway in a private lot with their own parking. Walked in to a nicely remodeled interior with plenty available seating on a Tuesday afternoon. Greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Menu was a little overwhelming and had a lot of variety. Items are a mix of Japanese and Korean items. You are able to order a la carte or pick from one of their AYCE tiers. The top tier, which allows you to pick any of the items from the menu, has a "1" next to their premium items which you can only order ONCE. Be aware of this. We opted for their top tier AYCE and mostly got sushi. Sushi itself was just ok. The quality of fish wasn't amazing/most fresh but enough that neither of us got tummy aches. The hamachi and salmon sashimi was a little stiff/tough but the yuzu flavor on the yuzu hamachi was good. The basil salmon wasn't ok, the basil flavor was not as expected but good. I was surprised by the cheese salmon - it was a soft cheese inside with avocado, this was probably the only piece of sushi i cared for. Also got hamachi kama, miso, and their house salad - all good. Got all 3 edamame and would say to stick with just the plain. The spicy and the garlic were sticky and lacked good flavor. Corn cheese was disappointing, was more like a warm elote on a hot plate? It was just too much mayonnaise. Would have been 3 stars for food/service but knocking off a star because at the end of our meal as we were paying, they told us they were doing us a favor not charging us for the edamame we didn't finish. Would've paid for it/not made a fuss because we read the note on the menu about paying the a la carte price for items that aren't finished (another thing to make note of). Overall, would jot recommend/come back. We drove out from the Concord area and did not think it was worth the drive and toll. read more

I went when it first opened and it had the menu with the alphabet choices, I think I paid about $40 and got everything I enjoyed including sashimi. Now I spent about $38 and sashimi wasn't even an option. I had a California roll (which I've never had a bad California roll) and I couldn't eat it. The other choices I had were great. The service was fantastic, but I don't think I'll go back because I really do enjoy some sashimi. read more

So ima go ahead and say. This place might be the best all you can eat sushi in solano. Formerly known as Momo sushi. The service was extremely respectful, attentive and quick, the staff was extremely welcoming. I'd recommend all sushi lovers to come here and make this your sushi home! If you been to I love sushi in Davis, then you will love this place, with a lot better service. We will definitely be back on the regular. read more

We were so excited to try an all you can eat near us! The service is great, friendly. There's 3 tiers, $30/$40/$50; $40 has all the nigiri and $50 has uni and toro. We did the $40. Fish quality is really good. We only rated it on the lower scale bc the rice was kind of hard. We could count every grain eating and kept thinking ok maybe it was just that batch of rice but we ordered a lot, and each time the rice was still hard. But the fish quality is still so good and like for the price point, definitely worth. It's hard to disregard the rice since it's in almost every dish. But we're still coming back! Dessert like ice cream is not included in the AYCE. Only the sesame balls and churro rice cakes. SKIP the onion salmon; least favorite. Our favorites was the 49er,Cajun salmon, the chicken wings, unagi, and poke salad. read more

As an omakase enthusiast who's willing to travel for good food--especially sushi--I must say the food was amazing and incredibly fresh! The space has been completely remodeled with new furniture, giving it a fresh and inviting vibe. I even met the owner and chef and shared my thoughts: please keep it this good--fresh, high-quality sushi like this is exactly what Fairfield needs! Definitely a new spot to keep coming back to. Sushi is great here I love it but the staff and management is absolutely terrible. I understand if you do the all you can eat there the whole table has to do it(meaning all adults/kids eating) but if we're there with two kids that are under 8 that's not eating you shouldn't have to pay for them just to sit there. They made us pay an additional 20 bucks each kid. Then they told us next time they could sit at their own table and we wouldn't have to pay for them to sit there. First time me and my family went here was on a sunday evening. There were 8 of us and ordered ala carte. This restaurant was previously Momo Sushi and we LOVED that place because the food was consistent and super ONO even though the ambiance wasnt the best. Tsunami has amazing ambiance with everything inside updated and outside too with better lighting at night. But our first visit, the food wasnt bad but also wasnt something we kept thinking about after. The miso soup was bland and the tempura sauce was tasteless. We also were disappointed they only have option for bento at lunch time. I feel if owners read this please bring bento box all day and more people will come. Fast forward today I gave their bento box a try for lunch and it was definitely better! The tonkatsu was warm and tasty and same for the tempura. What was surprisingly underpar was their beef teriyaki. It ws dry and cold. I asked for teriyaki sauce and it was much better after but still was cold as if it was cooked hours ago. Overall though food is much better and Im sure and hope they get the teriyaki beef newly cooked and with much more sauce next time. Would I still recommend the place? Yes for sure! read more

Celebrated a birthday here today with high hopes since a friend recommended the place. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. Ambiance: Cozy and casual. We came early and waited about 20 minutes even though the place was empty -- they seemed to still be preparing to open. Service: Splendid. The staff were friendly, and our food was served quickly. That was definitely the highlight of the experience. Food: You can order three dishes per person, which sounded like a great deal at first, but the food itself was disappointing. The sushi had too much rice compared to the fillings. Flavors were generally bland and forgettable -- not something that would make us want to come back, especially for the price. Miso soup didn't taste authentic. Grilled Hamachi kama and takoyaki were both very bland. The baked sushi had way too much rice; I honestly felt nauseated after a few bites. We reordered the spider roll because the first one was okay -- crisp and nicely balanced. Unfortunately, the second serving was soggy with sauce, had very little soft-shell crab, and tasted off. The nachos were a mistake -- not appetizing, and the chips broke easily. My kid compared them to cafeteria nachos, which says a lot. Drinks: Nothing special. Dessert: The ice cream (especially the green tea flavor) was the only thing we genuinely enjoyed. Overall, service was great but the food didn't justify the price. I love the selection for the courses. That's the only way to do it. Screw ordering individual, get the most bang for your buck by getting the courses. I read the reviews on the service but both times I've been, man, they come around like they didn't just serve you. AND the food came out super quick. Jay was our server both time and he was on TOP of it. Reminded of those brazilian steakhouses where they just keep around, you want to order anything else type deal. We were all tapped out. Food is decent, and they have a huge selection. It's great in concept, but execution could be better. Food comes out really slow, you could probably only get 3 rounds of orders in in your 90min slot. And we didnt even order much per round (like 5 items or so). Spent more time waiting than eating. We also couldn't even order more sashimi or sushi while our order was pending, as they said we had to wait for it to get here first. The roll that came out was not as described. Ordered a roll that had "amaebi" (sweet shrimp) in the description but it just had regular ebi shrimp. Guess they sneakily cut costs. Sashimi was ok, some slices super fresh, some had the chewy membrane still on it. Some cooked food were also subpar. Steamed egg had a burnt bottom, beef teriyaki was chewy like jerky. I am so disappointed with this restaurant.... My boyfriend and I loved coming here because it's a closer drive to us than going to Fuji in Vacaville. Our first time was excellent and we thought we had found a new go to AYCE sushi place . Sushi to rice ratio was OFF, there was so much rice it was honestly so upsetting. Fish quality wasn't as fresh. Only thing that's keeping this restaurant together is their customer service and ambience but overall experience was a 4/10. Fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious. We got the all you can eat, and ordered various nigiri, sushi rolls, and chicken wings. Some items are limited to 1 per customer (like blue fin tuna) but I was impressed that just about everything was available on the all you can eat menu including udon, ramen, grilled fish, bulgogi, etc. at the end, there was dessert (chocolate mochi ice cream for me, green tea ice cream for my wife). Highlights of the evening included the red snapper and ono nigiri, which we ordered seconds of. The variety of the menu gives us something to look forward to and we are already planning our next visit. Staff was also very friendly and service was quick. I came to this restaurant to try it out. First off the food was okay, the sashimi, sushi, and a good amount of the other side dishes were amazing. There were some foods specifically the japchae that was lacking as it had a sour taste, which is something I don't believe is normal and definitely something I'm not used to. Secondly, the service was very lacking. They only had two servers on the floor to take care of the dinner crowd. It was a bit of a struggle to get plates off the table as bussers were going around collecting plates and seem to not take notice to the pile of plates on our table. The set up was modern and looked good, but I don't know if that affected the flow of how the night service went. read more

The only downside was that I couldn't order à la carte I had to order the all you can eat with the rest of the family. The service was great, and the ambience was as expected for a sushi restaurant. SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. Mind you we went on a Monday night. They had 2 servers. both servers avoided contact with us the whole night had to repeatedly keep asking them for refills, napkins, and rice. They seated all the families with small children in one area and avoided going over there to assist them. They would let tables pile up with the discard plates and not collect them we had to keep repeatedly keep asking them to remove items from the table. For an all you can eat place they sure were slow with replacing and replenishing items we paid for the highest course which was $50 per person and it's very limited to what you can have. The the restaurants decor is nice. I'll give it to them. The ambience is nice. The music was great. They have terrible service. The food was subpar and there were a lot of rotten items that were given to us. We told our waiter over and over again that something tasted funny and he was like thank you for telling me the fish is not as fresh as you would want it to be. The stand outs are, all the fresh sushi rolls, the Spicy pork, cheese corn, jalapeno bombs (the bomb!). The following I did not like because of a preference which is we do not like their rolls with cooked tuna such as the Dragon eye and the TNT. The bad, spider roll (crab tasted old, was kinda nasty), The Kimchee stew was the worst I ever had. If the owners are reading this y'all need to change the recipe. The tuna and salmon were really fresh. The crab mix is a bit sweet. Not too much rice in the rolls, which is also a plus! Went here for a birthday dinner. We walking in and the place was very busy. We put our name in and it took about 10 minutes to seat us. Not too bad. The place was nice and clean with friendly service. The food was good and fish was fresh. The only downside was the timing for food. It would have been nice if we knew it was a soft opening. Because our friend's food took a very long time to come out. In my opinion when we all order at the same time bring everything out in a timely manner. I will definitely go back but I'll give them sometime to iron out the kinks. read more
