Got a to-go order, about $50 worth of food. I've never seen this from a restaurant before: they placed all my food in a box, nicely organized. They also had a paper and tape on top to prevent the food from falling out. Very impressed by this. They also gave me a scoop of complimentary ice cream which is a gesture i appreciate. The sushi was pretty good and fresh, decently priced as well. I definitely will be back to try other things on the menu.

Food was excellent I ordered the #28 crispy rice w/no spicy mayo and the #32 sumo roll . Very delicious and filling, miso soup was tasty as well it's one of those mmm moments at first sip . Ambience was relaxing ( I was there around 1-1:30) waiter was nice with questions asks . All around a good experience with that said I will be coming back to try other selections soon

This is the first time I try this restaurant and my experience was great. I had the bento box and the food was delicious. I had the nine-piece sashiniu, bulgogi and mixed tempura. The bento box also comes with a salad and miso soup. The service was attentive and the servers are polite. The restaurant ambiance was neat and gave you a warm feeling.

This is definitely my favorite sushi spot! It was my first time here, and it was an amazing experience. The place is spacious and clean, the service is very friendly, and they're quick with preparing your order. The sushi rolls are unique, addictive, and absolutely delicious! every single one is worth trying!

Quality + service ! The food was fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend for those in the area looking for a nice option for sushi. Only thing I would have done differently on my order is ask for a little less rice for me roll. Other than that, highly recommend

Came here day after Thanksgiving and it was delicious. The staff was so sweet and welcoming, made sure we were always checked on. The sushi was fresh and delicious, definitely ordered waaaay more than I could eat but I took it home. Best sushi in this area, definitely will come back

For the price (3 item bento is around $24 including tax for dinner) you can't go wrong! I left here stuffed and super satisfied. I got a spicy tuna roll, albacore roll and chicken katsu. The meal comes with miso soup, rice and a salad, all were very good. I didn't get the opportunity to try the toro or salmon nigiri (sushi) since I was so full from my bento box but next time I'm coming with my man so we can try more stuff from the menu. Perfect place for a decently priced meal with fresh fish and nice employees. I went at 7pm on a Saturday and was seated right away. Come try them out, I recommend dining in vs take out but that's for every sushi spot :)

Ordered delivery for the sushi and sashimi combo. Looked nice and fresh , but fish tasted just okay. I did like the salmon pieces and the salad with dressing. Miso soup was too salty.

Worth the price and all the food are all yummy! The place is clean! Service is the best! The staff are all accommodating and friendly and respectful!

Service: The sushi's chefs were very nice and welcomed you when you arrived The waitress was just ok. Not bad but not great Ambiance: Wasn't noisy, had like 10-12 people in restaurant Felt like hole in the wall sushi spot Kind of a seat yourself sushi spot Food: - the baked lobster roll (very good, very cheesy + sweet) - spider roll (tasted good, rice fell apart) -tempura veggies (very very good) -miso soup (decent but not hot enough) - 2 house salads very good (traditional) -Plum Wine + Club Soda * Pro Tip: Order a plum wine and then ask for a cup of ice and soda water.. in Japan when you order plum wine they ask you how you want it. This restaurant does not; they just bring you a glass of plum wine * would have been a 5 star rating if sushi rice stayed together while eating the sushi We will return, it was very good and prices were normal for the area

The food is good for the low price. I enjoyed their ribs. Pros food and price. Cons the long lines. But, worth the wait.

The food is still good, but we've noticed the price go up by $2 or so on each dish we ordered since the last time we were here. This is fine and we understand the cost of everything is rising, but the amount of food we got was also less than before. The amount of rice in the small portion of fried rice has gone down, the amount of meat and soup in the ramen and the size of the shrimp has also shrinked. Since the price of everything on the menu has gone up, we would hope for the standards to stay the same. We really like going here for ramen but were kind of disappointed the last time we were here, since it was quite expensive for not a lot of food.

Discovered Tamaya in Hacienda Heights, a restaurant open since 2003! So glad we gave it a try. The parking was easy and luckily a table had opened up right when we arrived. Every table was full while we were there. The restaurant was cozy and very clean. The music was not too loud unlike many other restaurants so we could have a nice conversation. The staff were very kind and friendly. Excellent service! Now to the food. I am Japanese so I am pretty particular when it comes to Japanese food. Our party of 4 got different types of ramen: meat lovers, kotteri miso, vegetarian, shio. I had shio...sooo good! It came piping hot as it should, the broth was delicious and the noodles had a perfect bite and spring. Everyone enjoyed their choices. We also tried gyoza that was generously filled and perfectly cooked. We ended the meal with refreshing strawberry shaved ice. Definitely coming back and highly recommend this gem!

The bathrooms are amazing btw with their warm seats and automatic everything. It was my first time having this dining experience where it was a set menu so I didn't know what to expect. For those who are pregnant and have limitations on what you can consume - you won't be left out! They were so thoughtful to let my friend know what dish was coming out and since she couldn't have it, they replaced it with a dish she could have so she wouldn't be sitting there watching us eat. Very very thoughtful!

They offer the quality of the Wagyu. The experience leans more toward a curated meat tasting, with beautifully presented, juicy cuts that are satisfying without being overwhelming. Great service and nice attentive. The reason why 4 stars because of the tomato and raw vegetables portions. I'm not sure if they still serve Japanese tomato as they did in the past year, past year was a whole tomato, now they did couple pieces. Spending close to $300 for 2 people sounds over priced. I wish they would do better on the veggies snack and tomato .. those are cheap veggies not likely the meat. Hope they upgrade something to impress their menu. We don't expect the return.

In it's current state, this place is definitely not recommended. Service was friendly, however, the servers all acted like it was their first day on the job. The person taking our order seemed unfamiliar with the menu and it seemed no one was sure who's job it was to do what. Additionally, they forgot to bring one of our items, and mislead us on what was actually included in one of the items. We ordered the tantan ramen, omelet curry, and fried tofu. All very mediocre and nowhere near what should be served at a restaurant. I've included pictures which look as it tastes. Sadly, to pile on to all of that, the restaurant was old and dirty with one mini-split AC for the whole place. Specifically, there were dirty/stained napkins (see picture), sticky tables, and flies everywhere. There was also an instance where another customer's soda can exploded upon opening it because the soda can was overheated from perhaps leaving the soda cans out in a hot area which in itself wouldn't be up to the standards of any decent restaurant. Overall, just a rough time at this restaurant. Again, we do not recommend this place.
