Got a to-go order, about $50 worth of food. I've never seen this from a restaurant before: they placed all my food in a box, nicely organized. They also had a paper and tape on top to prevent the food from falling out. Very impressed by this. They also gave me a scoop of complimentary ice cream which is a gesture i appreciate. The meal comes with miso soup, rice and a salad, all were very good. I didn't get the opportunity to try the toro or salmon nigiri (sushi) since I was so full from my bento box but next time I'm coming with my man so we can try more stuff from the menu. As a vegan, I understand that I have to ask about ingredients because small details could easily crack through the fingers. I had a few dishes to try out the restaurant & I was guaranteed by my server that some of them were vegan. When I asked another server about the dishes, it turned out that the Avocado Mango salad had eggs in their sauce & the Agedashi Tofu had fish powder mixed in their dish. I work as a server at another Japanese restaurant so the fact that my main server wasn't knowledgeable about the menu is kinda disappointing. Other than that, the avocado roll was absolutely delicious, they make a double layer (on top & inside) & their veggie roll had multiple pickled veggies, which isn't a common feature in Japanese restaurants.
