They have both indoor and outdoor seating with heat lamps for those nippy nights. We had the oyster sampler and they were ALL great! The Kumamoto are already my fave and they were the star of the show! I also had a glass of wine and lemme tell ya. The pours are generous without being too much. Rolls have the option of hand roll or cut roll. For dinner we had the blue crab roll and it was everything I hoped and dreamed for. There was also rice on the inside which balanced the natural crab flavor. We also had deep fried soft shell crab roll and was the perfect balance of crispy and soft and the crab flavor is present but a bit understated. Place was pretty busy on a Saturday night! We called ahead but they only had a waiting list no reservations. There was outside seating with heated lamps on a colder night. We wanted some akimo and shirako so we called a few places. The quality varies by availability so not all Japanese places may have them each day. Luckily it was available when we went! The shirako was smooth and buttery in both its forms (as cold appetizer and sushi). The akimo was as expected. Such a cute and cozy place. I was invited to go here with a friend of mine and she has been going for some time and I finally was able to join her. The place is clean and minimal in design. The chefs are very nice and the food is very fresh and tasty. The servers are attentive and helpful. This is my Burbank go to for sushi. They create beautiful fits that is divine. I have returned here repeatedly with so many people. True they get busy, so I always make a reservation, and the service sometimes is a little delayed for ordering, but it's worth the wait! They also have a sister restaurant across the street, but I seem to love this one the most! Such delicious sushi and sashimi. When we arrived, the line was out the door, which made me feel like we were really in for a treat. The fish and ingredients tasted very fresh--which is honestly the baseline for good sushi in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the dining experience didn't quite meet expectations. The space felt cramped, and the service was subpar. It was nice to try, but with so many excellent sushi spots nearby, I'd prefer to spend this price point somewhere with better service and a more comfortable atmosphere. Really really excellent sushi all around. Sorry I'm having a hard time remembering what the rolls were called but the yuzu roll was the best one hands down. I think the lemon roll and the lime roll are both very solid. The baked crab and salmon one was definitely the weakest out of the bunch though so I'd recommend rolling the dice on a different one. We also decided to try the baked salmon dynamite and it was a gamble that really paid off. I don't like mushrooms so I was picking at it but otherwise it was sooo good. Second time we have been here and been sat outside and were forgotten. This is usually my favorite sushi place but the service is so incredibly bad. Waiters are pretty rude. We waited over 45 minutes for our food and when it came to our table it was cold. It would be one thing if it was crowded inside but it really was not. I've been coming to Sushi Yuzu for many years now and I've finally had some time to write this review. All the faces have become very familiar to me and I feel at times they recognize me also. Today's experience has been like the others with a warm welcome and a sense of urgency to find us a table to minimize our wait. Avoid this place. My family and I had a bad experience at Sushi Yuzu on Riverside Dr in Burbank. The fish did not taste fresh and some items seemed improperly prepared. Shortly after eating, multiple family members became seriously ill and we had to seek medical care. It was a scary situation. On top of that, the service was poor. Staff came across rude and dismissive when we raised concerns. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

This is by far my favorite sushi spot. I didn't take pictures of all the food because I ate it before they could set the plate down! Highly recommend the albacore sashimi appetizer that comes with crispy onion and the yellowtail sashimi with cilantro jalapeño. All the fish is very fresh and tender. Spicy tuna crispy rice in the mini size is awesome too. If you want a hot appetizer try the yellowtail ribs! Tried the Kushiyaki for the first time and it was really good but I prefer fish. The restaurant is small but they have outside seating with heaters. Mind you they are plastic tables and chairs on the sidewalk. Service is quick and staff is friendly(for the most part). Really excellent quality fish and attentive service. The interior is minimalist and clean but on the smaller side. I would recommend getting a recommendation unless you are open to sitting out on the patio seating. Salmon sampler was really unique flavor profiles paired with salmon. Rice was perfectly seasoned and flavored, would def recommend. We also ordered several white fishes like sea bream and hamachi which were really nice cuts of nigiri as well. There have a private one-way lot, and you can park in any of the spots esp if it's after hours for the other businesses. But there's plenty of street parking. Our go to order. Not bad and we're finished it all with nothing leftover! I've never had a missed quality meal here and I'm amazed at the quality here.
