I liked all the rolls I ordered, with the Gold roll and Caterpillar roll being my favorites. Sushi Zone got a renovation! I've never been here prior to renos (we tried and the wait was too long) but the new conveyor belts are always stocked for hot and cold dishes, and goes fast. We are always seated very quickly and we never stay long because the service is super quick (less than an hour). Parking is a bit hard to find... since there is limited street parking immediately outside. The dishes range from $3-7 each plate depending on the color of the plates. Normally for 2 people, we will spend $50-60 before tax and tip and that's a good price to pay (without drinks as well) and we always pull dishes off the belt (rather than ordering a la carte). We will grab a mixture of almost all the different fish - hamachi, tuna, ikura, salmon, etc. (and there are a lot! which is a plus) and everything is fresh and delicious. The fish is not too small and there is not an over-ratio of rice either. Compared to other conveyor belt sushi places, I'm definitely enjoying Sushi Zone more. I've only tried a handful of hot dishes, and they're both great too. Service is super fast! Once I grabbed a tempura off the belt, and someone came by shortly after to give me the sauce for dipping. Tried this place out and was quite impressed. The other reviews about the service are for real - I was seated within seconds of walking in. I took a plate of the cheese rangoons off of the belt and before I even took a bite someone gave me the sauce for it. I opened the menu and flipped to the second page and someone checked if I wanted anything. I finished my cup of tea and after a minute someone refilled it. The food is quite decent. There's 'normal' sushi (California rolls, salmon rolls, etc), unusual 'fun' sushi (fruit rolls??), and fancy sushi (toro). I appreciated everything on the belt being labelled too. The only downside is that the closest (free?) parking is a not-so-nice gravel lot across the street, but was still very roomy even when I went on a weekend dinner. The conveyor sushi place closest to me stopped using their conveyor ever since the pandemic, so I'm glad to have found another conveyor place. read more

Our first time here and it's the first time I've gotten my wife to try a new place for over 3 years. Conveyor Belt sushi. There was a good selection. Personally I don't eat raw fish as it's only use us for crab bait when I go crabbing. They had an ample selection of cooked seafood sushi and hit dishes. All the items on the conveyor belt were marked if they were raw which made it easy for me. My wife will eat crab bait so she got at least one dish with it. They were busy but not crowded so we felt safe with the social distancing. I don't know if the highlight was the food or the wasabi they used. It is usually the Americanized version loaded with horse radish. Their wasabi was smooth to the palette and didn't have that horse radish kick. I really enjoyed that and their food. read more

First of all, I think this restaurant is more towards the food than the ambiance. It is more geared towards the value of the food and varieties. The environment, not so much for a date. Service was good for the 2 times we were here. They are always super busy. Last time on a weeknight waited for 30 mins at 8 pm. Last night, Friday, waited for about 20 mins at 7:30 pm. I crave their sushi. I always love kura sushi, sushi me and genki sushi, but this place just serves some different rolls, fish, and hot food, like white tuna and fried oysters. Please stay away unless you want to be sitting on the toilet for the rest of the evening. The fish here is poor quality. It is very obvious given the lack of flavors and the color of the fish. I'm surprised they still continued to serve their food like that. Their sushi rolls were not well made and was literally falling and breaking when they were picked up. The rice to the ingredients/fish was way off, so little rice and rice is probably the cheapest thing there beside water. The rolls are tiny too. Yes, the prices are slightly cheaper than others, but it's a serious downgrade in terms of quality and quantity. I've been to other conveyer belt sushi places and they usually have a hole on top of the clear plastic tops, but these don't so it's hard to see what type of sushi was in there, and it built moisture so the food was getting soggy. The waitresses has a lack of attention to details, were ordered dishes but she only brought half of them. We had to ask another waitress to complete the rest of our order. My daughter and I go here at least once a week it feels like. She absolutely loves it here. For "quick and easy sushi" it really is solid. Comfortable atmosphere. Very family friendly. The service is also on point which is why I am giving them a 5. Being outside is great in nice weather and since Bothell went to closing off Main Street, there's a lot of room for your family and friends, but inside is where the fun is. On the inside, if you're not at a table, you'll only need the waitstaff for incidentals to your meal; drinks, condiments etc. because all the dishes cruise round a delightful little conveyor belt that runs round the restaurant, on which the food meanders past your table at a leisurely pace. It doesn't cool off though; it's fully enclosed behind clear sliding panels that you can see through. Once you see something you want, you simply open the doors and take it. The food is color-coded according to the rim of the dishes and none of them go above $5 unless they are otherwise marked (and they rarely are) This restaurant can be a fun excursion for a first date or a frequent haunt for budget-friendly family meals (adults, please do the reaching for kids under 10 or 12 depending on maturity level, I don't want to imagine whatever your kids had on their hands when they were playing with all the cute little dishes!) Sushi Zone re-opened and I still love it. The prices remain reasonable. The remodel made it more bright and open and gave a lot more seating. Belt style serving is just fun. The only bummer is that they don't always provide a description. For example they will have a sign that says something like "Flying Dragon" and I won't try that, as I don't have a clue what is in It. It seems about 50/50 for signs that explain what it is and signs with nothing but mystery names. The hot foods have less descriptions than the cold.
