I looked forward to eating here with all the amazing reviews. I have to say I was extremely disappointed. The service was horrible. Waited 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken so we decided to order our food as well. Our first roll came out before our drinks which took another 15 minutes. We ordered 4 rolls and a ramen. The rolls came out about 10 minutes apart and were mushy and flavorless. The ramen was delicious as was the gyoza and egg rolls. Just unsatisfied with the experience after expecting something better. :( read more

Went here honestly because sushiholic is closed on Sundays. We overheard our server say it was her second day to another table. It was extremely slow yet we had to get her attention multiple times to get what we needed/order anything additional while she was standing around with her arms crossed. She ended up leaving for the night in the middle of our dinner without saying anything to us! The other servers awkwardly took care of us and barely said anything. No one apologized or seemed to care that we were there. Sushi is so overpriced for how average it is. Will not be returning :( read more

The ambiance is a little bright and the patio could be spiffed up, but the staff is great and they have a full bar. A hidden gem for a great sushi spot. Located in a small non-descript retail strip, however don't let the location sway you. We have been here twice now and both times the quality and service were excellent. We have had salmon and yellowtail nigiri, negihama roll, Picasso roll, yellowtail jalapeño sashimi (chef special), as well as chicken karage and shrimp tempura. No complaints on the food here other than it's way overpriced. The quality of the sushi is good, there were some creative choices for rolls and the sashimi was presented beautifully and prepared in a unique way that I never had before. Service was friendly, but sorely lacking as far as attentiveness. Was slow when I went in, myself and a friend and then 2-3 other tables total in the entire place. Didn't bring my cocktail when I ordered it, I had to waive the server down and ask for it again. Same thing when I wanted to order more food. There was no checking back, I had to ask for the menu again etc. I ended up spending $120 for just myself to eat when all was said and done and very mediocre experience. So meh. Been here a couple of times now, usually on sunday nights because they are one of the only places open, and late (midnight). This place is good! Fresh fish and they understand how to pair and prepare fish to bring out the flavor. Ryan especially, he really pays attention to detail so the sushi not only good fish, but it's beautiful too! I was skeptical about this restaurant, but had to try it as it's nearly walking distance from my home. I was really surprised at how good it was. The chefs are extremely competent. The problem is that I'm not inspired to return. I'm not completely sure why. Maybe it's the location, but other restaurants there do well. The ambiance is a bit off. Maybe it's the colors or lack of warmth. It's just not super welcoming. It kind of starts with the "Wait to be seated" lettering on the host's podium. The service was good, but not genuine. I'm not even sure what that means other than it was mostly robotic, but also efficient. I think that, on paper, this restaurant executes very well, but there's just something missing. I might try it again. The chefs do know exactly what they're doing. read more
