Had dinner at Sushi 32 last weekend. The other sushi places in the area had long waits but Sushi 32 didn't. Now I know why. The prices are the highest in the area by far. The portion size for the sushi nigiri are very small. They have a limited specialty roll selection and it took a long time to get the edamame and our rolls... which is surprising since the restaurant was only half full. Based on their prices, I was expecting the best sushi, large portions and great service. Not going back, I'd rather wait for the other spots in the area. read more

If you don't look past this sentence here's the review: GO, ITS WORTH IT! For those looking for more insight. I walked in just before 11pm after work and was kindly greeted by someone bussing the patio. I was a party of 1 and was seated promptly at a table by one of the servers. All servers and the bartender were extremely nice and gave perfect service. My water was never below 50%, I never had finished plates sitting on the table, and I was checked on perfectly to make sure I had everything I needed, and nothing I didn't! Also to note, one of the servers seemed to be new-er and she never gave an answer she didn't 100% know, which I love! She made sure to double check before answering! Now onto the food. A-m-a-ZING. All the fish was so fresh and I even joked that the avocado was literally the best avocado I'd ever tasted...but it was no joke, it really was! Plating was beautiful and you could feel that chef was passionate about his dishes all the way from my booth! He even brought me over a special halibut bite to finish the evening. I would also like to bring up that chef's 12pc sashimi platter wasn't the boring salmon, ahi, octo, and albacore. There were scallops and halibut, and toro!!! I hope this place sticks around; its honestly some of the best sushi I've had! Food was both hit and miss, service was atrocious. Came here on a Friday night and the place was empty if that says anything. Our server was rude and rushed from the start. Apparently they have a new menu and our server was completely unfamiliar with it; she seemed deeply annoyed when we asked any questions about menu items and had to come back and forth from the kitchen several times to answer our questions. For sushi, we ordered a Picasso and Aloha Fire roll as well as a yakisoba noodle dish. The Picasso came out first and it was very delicious. Next a deep-fried roll showed up - definitely not what we had ordered - and we quickly brought it to the server's attention. She immediately blamed us and told us we had ordered the 'wrong roll.' She angrily scooped it off the table, then proceeded to be extra rude and short with us the rest of the time we were there. The noodles were remarkably greasy, overly sweet, and definitely not worth getting. My husband and I both work in the service industry and it's, at best, poor customer service, and, at worst, just plain rudeness to blame your customer because an order was misheard and came out incorrectly. Skip this place - there are TONS of other sushi places in town. Don't put up with bad service and overall mediocre food. read more

Stumbled onto Sushi32 while staying at Arizona Biltmore over the weekend and OMG! I have never written a review before but after this culinary experience I would feel guilty for not taking the time. My wife is the sushi expert as I am not terribly brave but I grew up in 4-5 star restaurants/resorts so I know amazing when I experience it. The place was dead empty at 9:00 PM on Friday so we almost walked out but staff was so inviting we decided to take a chance. Turns out they are soft opening to ensure perfection when the word gets out; so Sorry Guys! We sat at the counter and were greeted right away by the Sushi master Ryan Kim. Amazing new restaurant! Ryan makes the experience very special if you get lucky to sit at the bar with him. His professionalism and knowledge of sushi are impeccable. I eat a lot of sushi in my hometown and I am very impressed with this location. The use of quail eggs in our nigiri was simply unique and very tasty! I loved ever bite. They also have a bar fully stocked with all the necessities! Even the best Irish cider. This place is a must visit. Cucumber roll along with some sushi rice actual two bowls of that and a custom made real crispy roll and the sushi chef Rico as basic and down to earth as he is is an awesome host as well. My husband and I were very disappointed in our experience here. We made reservations for just the two of us and upon arrival we had no table reserved for us. We waited around until we were seated but we should have just left. It took awhile to get our order because our server had a large party. We tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because she was busy but after she took our order she brought the wrong rolls to us. When we told her what we ordered she told us it was our mistake and we ordered the wrong rolls. I asked to speak to the manager and she said "I am the manager". My husband and I were appalled that a manager behaved the way she did and blamed US the customers for her mistake instead of taking accountability. She made us pay for the rolls anyway and wouldn't take it off the bill even though we didn't eat it. We will never come back to Sushi32 again and I've made it known to our family and friends to stay away from this place! Horrible service!!!! read more

The fish is amazing. The toro sashimi was $46 (5 pieces) and uni nigiri was $23 for two pieces. The prices are insane! This was a business dinner for us, so we were not paying. The total bill with tip for 3 people was close to $300, and two of us did not drink any alcohol. I hope this place makes it, because it is definitely the best fish, but the prices have to come down. Most of the sashimi was in the $18-$20 range. Ouch. Sushiholic is not as good, but it's also 30-50% less expensive. read more
