It had honestly been a minute since I had been to sushiya. The last time (several years ago) it seemed like everything was bland and flavorless... however my husband and I were in the area and we decided to give it another try. Boy am I glad we did! We ordered sushi to start. The sushi came out fairly quickly. We had 2 basic rolls, a tuna roll and a salmon roll... tho I will say there was no mention of avocado in the salmon roll, but when it was brought it had it... not a fan but both were good and fresh. We also ordered a Buddha Belly roll which was HUGE! It was also amazingly delicious! By far my new favorite roll! I would return for this roll alone! Highly recommend! We also ordered some crab Rangoon ... however I felt that these were not nearly filled enough for the size... they definitely could use some more filling. The egg drop soup we got was also STELLAR!! Would also come back to order a huge bowl of this as well! Delicious and savory! Absolutely wonderful! We also ordered entrees as well. All came out warm and quickly. We went during dinner time but service was quick and friendly! The place itself was clean, bathrooms were clean, and staff was friendly! Overall would definitely recommend and absolutely will be returning!

ValPak had a 15% off coupon so we tried this place. We will not be back. My daughter said her miso soup tasted like a mix and not fresh. The egg drop had corn in it and was just ok. The crab Rangoon and vegetable egg rolls were again, just ok. They came with teeny little cups with dipping sauce. Weird. We both got bento boxes and they were nothing special. The tempura vegetables were meh. The salad dressing was weird. Her BBQ and my shrimp were just ok. She likes more bland food and she said it was super bland. The california roll had very little taste. The server was good but the food subpar.

I ordered Sushiya for takeout last night and it was delicious. This was a Sunday night and they weren't busy from what I could tell. I was able to pick up the order rather quickly. I'm a huge fan of the Geisha roll which comes with rice paper and has a ton of flavor. I also added a California roll which was ok, a little lite on the rice side of things. I think the prices for their rolls are super reasonable and would much prefer this to grocery store sushi that is often just about the same price. In the past, I've come and sat down instead of getting takeout. When you eat in, they bring you miso soup which is always such a treat.

Service: the service was ok, it could have been a little better and has been in the past. The servers just seemed young and wasn't sure was in the sushi rolls, so we gambled on the rolls and were happy with them. We were seated immediately and had our drink orders taken and delivered quickly. After they took our food order though they took a while to get our ticket and she gave me a very small box for our leftovers. Food: the food has always been good, it was my grandmas favorite egg drop soup! The rolls are good and made fresh. The miso was great and so was the rice. My favorite is the vegetable egg rolls. The food was what got the 5 stars today.

Yummy!!! I'm so glad I tried this little place! It's a very small very friendly staff ! The food is pretty good! We had the fried dumplings which were perfect! The crab rangoons are delicious. They do taste different but super good! The Prawns with candied pecans was good just super sweet! The sushi was fresh and perfect!

Highly recommend this place! The food was amazing I had no idea all These years there was this hidden gem in my neighborhood. I had the wheat noodles which were on point perfectly cooked!

Stopped by here for a bite of sushi and the sushi was good! One of the sushi dishes that I got took quite a while to come out, it basically came out by the time I was done with my other sushi order. The yaki soba was pretty good, I thought it was a little bit salty. Our server didn't seem like she wanted to be there. She was nice, but didn't have any emotion or showed that she cared to be there.

This is the amount of food that we couldn't stomach and is going in the garbage

great place to get a sushi fix that is not overly expensive. It is kind of a hole in the wall restaurant and the inside could look better.

Their sushi rolls are definitely better than Smith market sushi. Chinese dishes are mediocre, not much better than Panda Xp.

Weird how the Nigiri came hot. It should have been better for this price. Also, the crab Rangoon's are basically cream cheese, gross.

They weren't too busy when I stopped by so that was good, they also just opened for dinner not too long before so definitely good timing. The server was truly the sweetest. We ordered 2 orders of Chicken Katsu appetizers, 6 Piece Gyoza, Kastu Donburi, & Beef Nagomi Ramen. For the chicken katsu appetizers we asked if it came with rice which we wanted them to, and the lady said they did. It was disappointing upon arrival at home and there was no rice included. We had to cook rice at home instead. The katsu pieces were crispy and the little one liked it, so that was good. Not a fan of the sauce it came with, though. 6 pc gyoza was good. We liked the sauce it came with as it was flavorful. Would reorder in the future. Katsu Donburi bowl was good. Would recommend and portion was just right. Nagomi Ramen - we asked for beef, but it looked like it was pork instead. It was pretty bland, which was disappointing. So maybe will get it spicy next time if we order again. Great portion size. Would consider going back to try their sushi and other options.

It is not the biggest restaurant, and is popular, so I would recommend being prepared to wait during "popular busy time" but it is so worth the wait. So I also recommend waiting. The staff is always pretty friendly and accommodating. I shared an app, a roll and an order of salmon sashimi with a friend on both visits. The food is always fresh, and delicious! I never feel like I am being overcharged for what I get either. Going to eat for sushi can feel like that sometimes. The quality of the food is great and everything is always aesthetically pleasing as well. I had their avocado bomb on my last visit and I was delightfully surprised with it. I like avocado in most cases, but sometimes, it can be a lot at one. I thought this was going to be like that when I saw it, but I was wrong. I look forward to getting one of these on my next visit! On my last visit my friend and I saved room for a dessert, one that we saw rotating on their screens that they have in the restaurant showcasing some of the menu items. It was a take on a bananas foster. It looked delicious but alas, we'll see if we can manage to get it next time. Note to self, have dessert first on next visit?

"Grilled marinated chicken tossed in a sweet-homemade teriyaki sauce." The menu says nothing about the chicken being coated in a "light batter." I called the restaurant told them that I was expecting just grilled marinated chicken, not with a batter. The gentleman who answered the phone, said they've been meaning to take that off the menu. I've seen this item on the Grubhub and restaurant menu before, just didn't order it, and it never said anything about it being battered. So, apparently it's not all that important to change being as the description hasn't changed in all these months. My order was refunded, and I greatly appreciate that, I now need to find something else to eat tonight. Had I been physically able to get in my car, and drive to the restaurant to ask how they prepare their food I would've done that instead of going through a delivery service.
