Stopped by Sushiya and had a great experience! We ordered the popcorn crawfish, seared pepper salmon sushi, shrimp tempura roll, miso soup, and edamame, and everything was super fresh and delicious. The prices were very reasonable for the quality, and the restaurant itself has such a cute, cozy vibe. Customer service was great, as well. My only small critique would be the music. The loud pop hits didn't quite match the cool, moody atmosphere. I think some chill lo-fi or mellow instrumental music would fit the space so much better. Either way, we'll definitely be back!

The food is still consistently fresh. I still love the spicy pepper roll (might ask for lighter ponzu, it was a bit too drenched today). The lunch bento is such a great deal with a 4 pc sushi combo. Chicken was nice and tender! The eel and avocado was a bit disappointing today because the eel to avocado ratio was not great in some pieces but decent in others. I'm still supportive of the restaurant though! Always glad to have a solid sushi spot in the area though.

We love this place. It does have great selections. The prices are a little high, but still good quality food we enjoy coming here the staff there are always nice and attentive and kind.. one of our favorite things to order now is the baked salmon roll the spicy tuna roll and the fried chicken cutlet with white rice! An absolute gem for sushi lovers. The standout of the meal was the chirashi bowl, which featured an impressive assortment of exceptionally fresh fish imported directly from Japan. Every bite showcased the quality and care that goes into sourcing their ingredients. Beyond the food, the service was attentive and thoughtful without being intrusive, making the entire dining experience feel effortless. Although, beware, this is one of the only sushi restaurants I've been to that doesn't offer refills on green tea. The restaurant itself strikes a perfect balance between modern and inviting, with a chic atmosphere that elevates the meal. If you're looking for top-quality seafood in a stylish setting, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Everything was delicious! I stopped by for a quick lunch and can absolutely say I'll be coming back! The sushi was so fresh and delicious! Everyone was super friendly since we walked in; they greeted us and us immediately which was perfect because I was so hungry. The inside is dimly lit but very pretty and has the perfect amount of space between each table. Also, the restroom is pretty cool too; some very eclectic decorations for sure! Parking wise, there's a lot of parking available so no issue there.

Update: I came back because the food was really good, despite our waitress being a little awkward. Our waitress today was so nice and friendly, and not awkward at all. Our food came out so fast as well, literally one right after the other.

Decided to try this place 05/2025. Looked promising. Nice ambiance with plenty of parking. Walked in the evening was greeted and seated fairly quickly. The order: Edamame was tasteless and mushy 2/10 Cold roll was decent 5/10 Hot roll or what was suppose to be a eel hot roll arrived cold 3/10. Waitresses were very nice but wouldn't shut up talking one patrons ear of which detracted from our dining experience. Over all nice place, meh food. My buddy and I were visiting the area on a work trip and visited on a Saturday night, a little bit of a wait, but like the host said, "it will be worth it." About 30 mins later, finally got a table and ordered like...everything lol. Atmosphere is chill, but could definitely here people dancing towards the close of business since there is a country bar right above lol. Service was kinda slow, but the manager said they were short staffed, but we didn't care. Everything came out great and the food we ordered was delicious. Finished off with some macroon ice cream sandwiches and a beer. Very happy overall and if we ever return, this place is bookmarked for sure. read more

I've been here twice, first time visit was GREAT! The food is delicious. However, second time visit was not as attentive as the first time. We sat there for a while, rarely getting checked on. I had to actually call someone to help us. I requested water that never came. I get it, it's busy, but not when they sit you at the exit of the kitchen at plain view. Again, the food is amazing, the ramen was okay, but the service could be a lil better with attentiveness. I won't say that I would never go back again...I'll def give this place another try. Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. I was only in town to take a test nearby, but if I'm ever back in the area, I would 100% return and try the other dishes.

I ordered takeout on Friday night and was disappointed to notice that the quality of the sushi has declined. I used to be a fan of Sushiya, and it was one of my top go-to spots in the area. We ordered five items, three of which had avocado on top or outside of the rolls. Unfortunately, the avocado was very brown. While that doesn't necessarily indicate it's bad, it made the rolls look unappetizing. When we picked up our order at 5:30 PM, the staff were quite short and not as friendly as I had experienced in the past. The food in our to-go bag was lopsided, which caused some leakage from one of the containers at the bottom of the bag. As we unpacked our items, we noticed that each container had a layer of grease on the bottom. I've visited this restaurant before and never had any issues. On previous visits, I kept it simple with crispy rice and a beer or a specialty roll. Not hard to mess those up, and it was always good. Tonight, I ordered takeout and decided to try something new. Unfortunately, it was a total letdown. The tonkotsu ramen had very little flavor, and the noodles were extremely overcooked. They were more like overcooked spaghetti than ramen. There was only one piece of pork, and it was dry. Definitely not worth the price. The seaweed salad was overly sweet and wasn't able to take more than a couple of bites. On a positive note, the spicy tuna crispy rice was delicious with a great kick of spice. We stopped by Sushiya in San Dimas for Father's Day were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside, and the interior is modern with plenty of seating. The sushi was very fresh, which is always the most important part. Our favorite was the Lemon Blossom Roll, which had great flavor and was definitely the standout. We also ordered the Dragon Roll and Firecracker Roll, and both were excellent. The Spicy Garlic Edamame was another great choice and had just the right amount of garlic and spice. Great food, fresh and clean! We tried a large variety of dishes to best sample the entire menu. All amazing! But I had 3 servings of the fried tofu, it was nice and crispy outside while very soft and silky inside. We were considering a 4th serving, so good. I plan to come again. This time ill bring my cowboy boots for the nightclub upstairs! read more

3.5/5 This was my first time coming here and when i walked in I was really impressed. It looked so pretty. We got sat and the service was really slow, our food came out one by one. this was really disappointing because while the food was good our party could not eat all together. I will be back again with hopes of better service read more

Grabbed sushi here the other day and it totally hit the spot. The fish was so fresh it melted in my mouth. Like seriously, best sushi I've had in a while. And the staff was super nice and quick too. Def gonna be back cause for the price it can't be beat. Would rec checking it out if you're ever around - you won't be disappointed. read more
